Home Services reviews in Montgomery, Alabama

I had a wonderful and professional experience working with this company. My yard has so much curve appeal. I'm definitely making them my lawn service provider for this summer.
-
Need to weed flower bed but otherwise do a good job with taking care of weeds in the yard.
-
Padro Gutierrez was very nice and professional. He took the time to explain to me what he was spraying for and how long the dogs needed to be off the grass.
-
My lawn is indicative of the exceptional service that I receive from TruGreen. They apply the right amount of fertilizer and insecticides at the right time of year & it has very few weeds. Padro G, our specialist, did an outstanding job & explained all the details of our treatment. He ensured all areas of the lawn were treated and notified me upon his departure that he had ensured the gate had been closed.
-
Pedro gets 5 Stars for the way he explains yard treatment. He came out after I noticed several areas of weed growth which is the reason for the overall four stars.
-
Pedro came out and worked on our yard. Friendly and helpful guy. Was very quick and efficient with his work! Highly recommend
-
Fantastic service. Very thorough and gave me tips on how to battle mosquitoes myself as well. My technician Pedro did a fantastic job and answered all my questions. Thank you!
-
Justin did great as my tru green technician.
-
Had them and they told me and charged for doing my yards and only seen a change in some areas. Well that's because they were only doing part of my yard and charging for all. Had them on security cameras half doing and sometimes not doing anything, they argued with me until I said I can send a copy of multiple videos.

Sable arrived a few minutes early which impressed me from the start. He listened to my concerns, and took the time to explain exactly what the treatment entailed and was able to address all my questions and concerns. Sable was prompt, professional, knowledgeable, and did a thorough job on my lawn. I’m so glad he is the technician who will be handling my lawn in the future.

This service was done May 28/ unable to get service manager out to look at yard.
-
Agent came and applied the mosquito treatment quickly at no cost. The previous treatment did not take well due to a lot of rain. I did call and they send someone out quickly. Thank you!

Our experience with TruGreen was disappointing, primarily due to poor communication and terrible customer service.
We received no notifications in December or February that a technician would be coming to service our lawn—no notice before, no update after—just a bill for $111 per application. For a premium service, it’s unacceptable to be charged without any communication about what was done. We did receive communication in january from Padro G. but nothing in december or February.
When I called there customer service on a Thursday night to get the reports and to ask why none was sent, it was a disaster. The representative, who seemed to be from an outsourced call center, claimed our account didnt exist. When I asked how we could be billed without an account, she had no answer and said she would put a note in the computer. When we asked to speak to a manager she dropped the call.
I called again on Friday and spoke with another rep, hoping for better service. Instead, it got worse. Rather than acknowledging the issue or apologizing, the rep coldly said, “I can email you the reports,” with zero empathy. When I asked about a reapplication since we had some leafy weeds popping up, he flatly refused saying it was 2 days past the allowable time, offering no solutions or compensation.
The lack of accountability was astounding. Even when I requested to speak with a manager, I was told it was “the end of the duty day” and that someone would reach out later after the weekend.
This entire experience made it clear that TruGreen does not value its customers. We have since switched to another lawn care provider that offers better service at a lower price—$85 per application compared to TruGreen’s $111 per application. Just look there are other companies out there for cheaper.
If you value communication, accountability, and professionalism, look elsewhere. -
The certified specialist that treated our yard was Pedro Gutierrez. He was polite and professional. After he sprayed our yard he informed us of some problem areas in our yard and told us what options we had to correct it.

My property in Montgomery County has been service by Trugreen since your company took over the services provided by Scott's Lawn Care. One of my properties have been served for over 10 years. Last year, I added services for my second home in Montgomery, AL. Your company garantee's 100 percent customer satisfaction, I have been waiting to speak to a Supervisor for a long time to resolve an issue with one of my properties. To this date. I am still waiting for the call. This is not only unsatisfied but not professional.

I have been using TruGreen Lawn Care for many yrs now. I moved from Indiana to Alabama and thought I had such success there, well I’ll use them here too…..what a disaster it has been, from them mixing my account with my old address from telling me they have done services and having done them at all….with door bell cameras to neighborhood watches how could you ever think you could get away with this…. We are on autopay so how could you not take are payment then telling us we have not paid our bill…..I’m getting calls from Indiana when we live in Alabama….we have now since canceled TruGreen. We have talked to several managers and all have over promised and under delivered. So so disappointing! The 2 stars are only bc my account in Indiana was leaps above this experience.

They do a wonderful job, treating the weeds and beautifying the lawn. only reason I took off one star is because they call you incessantly, trying to get you to buy additional products and services

I reserve negative reviews for the worst experiences with no solution. That's a brief summary of my current situation. TruGreen service members showed up on multiple occasions to do services NOT solicited. Luckily, my wife and I were home two of the three times this occurred. After the second such event, we canceled our service in November of 2024 and stipulated no further contact.
TruGreen continued to call us as well as stop by our home to get us to restart the service. After each visit, I called to reiterate the previous cancellation, no contact request, and requested an email or a letter confirming we had cancelled and there was no balance owed. I never received either.
On March 3rd, 2025, while we were out of town, they performed a service on our lawn. We saw this through our Ring system. I contacted them immediately and went through everything I just shared above. Is this how TruGreen makes its money? By performing unsolicited services and billing their distracted clients?
Needless to say, two weeks later, we received a bill. Six weeks later, we received another bill. I called each time and was assured all had been taken care of. Last week? You guessed it. Another. Bill. This time, the bill stated that we were 80 days past due and our account had been suspended. The same account we canceled services for in November. To top it off, the bill is threatening to send us to collections.
I searched the internet for numbers and called 7 or 8 of them. I tried to reach the home office in Franklin, TN. The regional office in Birmingham, AL. I tried to get the local branch. No luck. No luck. No luck. All of the numbers went to a service center. Foreign agents with no managers, apparently, and magically, no ability to contact Tru Green corporate.
Of course, I was SUPER relieved when they let me know they'd be glad to put a note in my account and send an email confirming my status. None of which was done, or I wouldn't be writing this now.
I finally decided to go down to the local service branch, knowing they most likely wouldn't be able to resolve the situation but perhaps could get me in touch with someone that could. The service and sales managers were great. They empathized with me, were courteous and understanding. They contacted their superior and had them reach out to us. She called and we were both working and unable to answer the call. She left a message. The number given, you guessed it, led us RIGHT BACK TO A CALL CENTER.
So far today, I've made three calls, all leading to call centers. Finally, the third person I spoke with said they could contact management and have them contact me back "within 24 hours."
If this is not resolved, tomorrow will be my last visit to TruGreen. I will then let a more qualified individual, who gets paid to handle things like this, take care of the matter for me.
EDIT: The situation was resolved within hours of posting this Google Review. -
My visits were in a timely manner, but all 3 visits occurred right before major rainfalls. I rescheduled my visit to ensure that the treatment didn't get washed away during the storm. The customer service reps were kind enough to reschedule my appointment free of charge. Thanking you guys in advance for your help and assistance.

Padro was great. My first time using a lawn treatment company. So I had lots of questions. He was patient and knowledgeable. I had mosquito, flea and tick treatment done.
After waiting three weeks, I called back to get a re-treatment because the mosquitoes had come back just as bad as before. And a tech by the name of Christopher came to my house Spent less than 15 minutes at my house. I have a huge yard (treatment area according to them is 42,717 sq ft) I’ve got him on my ring camera on my front porch not even rolling out a hose to do the treatment. And the granules he put on the ground he did about 20x1 foot strip along the front of my house with a little handheld Grinder looking thing. Claimed he applied 98 pounds of granule and 42.72 gallons of spray When I called today about the treatment that was received Friday, they tried to charge me again for a Revisit. Definitely would not recommend trugreen to anybody! -
Not usually one to write reviews, but can’t let this one go.
I have given this company two times to earn and maintain my business and unfortunately havebeen disappointed both times.
Overall, they seem to have a general culture of a lazy work ethic or dishonesty or both.
Specifically, on more than one occasion, I have received reports of services performed at my property that I can document never occurred. Most recently, a product was applied that is specifically the wrong choice for my lawn, despite the company, knowing the make up of my lawn.
Lastly, I have received numerous (more than six) calls reporting that the employees observeddisease in my shrubs that should be treated by adding an additional service from the company. Unfortunately, again, I can document that no employees have ever gotten near my scrubs and also that they look quite healthy.
Not only can I not recommend this company, but unfortunately, I would advise stay away, at least in the Alexander city, AL area.
