I reached out to Gipson heating after calling another company who lied and did not come out . From the phone call to the repairman coming out I was made to feel as if I was a priority , they were very courteous and prompt but over all their honesty and thorough communication is what sold me ! The repairman took the time to explain everything , I was able to make a choice , wow he could have just done a minor repair and made a major profit but he gave me options and that speaks volumes ! They will continue to be my go to for all of my heating needs !

Very thorough in locating the problems we were having with our AC and taking care of them. The repairs and replacement of the outside unit carried on into the late afternoon hours after 5 pm but Shane and his guys remained focused and professional and got the job done in the heat of August in Alabama. Definitely will use them from now on and will recommend them to anyone.

We had another company come out last Thursday to fix our hot water heater. They had to “order a part” Friday morning and it would be here Saturday for them to come fix it today (Monday). After no call from the other company today, we called them for them to inform us that the part would not be here until tomorrow (Tuesday). So we are stranded from Thursday-Tuesday without hot water. A friend recommended Gipson so we called them around 10:00 and told them about our situation. They were on another job but managed to find our part, pick it up and come fix our issue around 5:00 today. The same day!!!! I can’t thank them enough. They were so nice and explained everything. I would recommend them to anybody. Great job guys!!

These guys installed 2 mini split units for us. There was a miscommunication between us and they thought I had cancelled. When I told them the cancellation was for someone else they were out putting the units in the next day. Very professional and polite. They ran conduit for our wires that would be unsightly without it. We did not expect this and when they got through they cleaned up after themselves. I guarantee you that if you choose to hire Gipson you will not be sorry.

We saw a Gipson work vehicle at our neighbors house, when our air went out. My Husband went and asked Mr. Shane Gipson a question. He said he could look at our air conditioner when he finished theirs. We didn't have to make an appointment when we needed help immediately, he was willing to come to our aid! The next day he returned because we had another issue. This man was a GOD send! Very professional and courteous, and he answered all our questions. We had our air back the first night, the second night we had very, very cold air! If I ever need help again I am going to use them!

Can't say enough good things about the guys at Gibson. Sam and Houston came out today and helped solve a problem to get my heat running. Very professional nice young men that definitely know their stuff. All of my family uses Gibson when those emergencies happen because they come when you call and really care about their customers. Highly recommend them!

Evan and Trevor were super! They serviced our A/C unit and it is already MUCH cooler in our house. They explained what they were doing and answered my question to where I had a basic understanding of how the unit works. Very courteous and professional guys! I highly recommend Gipson (especially Evan and Trevor) to anyone needing A/C work!

I have had many experiences with HVAC personnel over the years. I’ve been a homeowner for 26 years and am on my second Trane heat pump system.
It would not be an exaggeration to say that Gipson Heating & Air Conditioning gave me the most thorough service I’ve received in those 26 years. They not only performed the seasonal maintenance on my unit, but discovered and remedied additional problems. They even corrected mistakes made by previous contractors which could have led to a malfunction of my unit in the future.
(One example: I had been dealing with a condensation problem in my air handler and Shane Gipson explained why it was happening and fixed it immediately. By the way, the condensation was caused by the omission of an important step which another company’s rep had not bothered to return my call on, much less offer to remedy.)
Shane Gipson’s knowledge and expertise was surpassed only by his willingness to go above and beyond what he initially came to do. And he patiently answered all my questions (I had many).
I urge you to give Gipson Heating & Air a call when you next need maintenance work or repair on your heating/air unit, no matter the brand. You will not be disappointed. In fact, you may be amazed that there are still those who have such a work ethic and hold themselves to such a high standard. I was having trouble with my dryer and my dryer vent was super clogged and backed up. They were able to come out the same day contacted and was so respectful and helpful. They cleaned my dryer vent and got it working the best air flow I have ever had living in my house for the past 9 years!! I would recommend them for any service especially if your dryer isn’t performing the proper way. I was super impressed that they even contacted me later that night to make sure I wasn’t having any issues. Best service by far!!

Businesses like this are hard to come by these days! The owner came out and repaired our AC within 30mins of calling for repair. One of the most honest, stand up guys, very professional as well as informative. He did not rush through he took his time and got down to the bottom of the issue we were having with our AC. He went above and beyond! Very professional and cleaned up after himself even though I insisted I could move some items in the yard back into place. Can’t say enough good things about this guy! He is greatly appreciated! My AC is back up and running and he did an outstanding job! If you want a company that will treat you as if you are family this is the place to call! Shane and his team are absolutely incredible! They spent an entire day correcting mistakes that a previous contractor had made. Some of the work they did included: rebuilding duct work (that was previous leaking air into the attic), they raised the furnace, strapped up the indoor coil, put in a new supply run, and fixed all of my vents (that were previously blowing backwards). I had the air running constantly for the past few weeks and it was not getting below 78 degrees. It is now down to 67 degrees in just a couple of hours! They were very professional, detail oriented, and clean! They went above and beyond for me an exceeded all expectations! I will give them a 10/10 and will recommend them to all of my clients/ friends.

I have called Shane and Gipson Heating & Air Conditioning, LLC for work in the past and he always did great work and didn’t try to oversell additional services. Recently my mother called another Heating and Air company here in Birmingham and they sent a tech and salesperson to the house. My mother was freaking out because they basically told her the system was in bad shape and actually showed her pictures. Shane and Dwain came out for a second opinion and there was absolutely nothing wrong with the system! I cannot recommend Shane highly enough for his integrity and professionalism! Do not call anyone else in the Birmingham area except Gipson!

Highly recommend this contractor, Shane and his crew are very good at their craft. I had a new air handler and heat pump installed with duct work needing to be replaced. Shane actually did a J calculation for what size of system I needed for the size of the duct work. Never seen a contractor actually do this. Shows that he knew what he was doing. I will use Gipson in my future hvac needs.

Gipson replaced both HVAC units, rebuilt ductwork, and replaced vents at my home this summer, and the entire experience was fantastic. They were professional, considerate, efficient, clean, and helpful every step of the way. Shane and team took every opportunity to listen to what I really needed and my concerns, and I was completely comfortable throughout the process. The results have been amazing - the air is so much cleaner in my house, the smart thermostats and related phone app are so helpful and convenient, and the temperature control is precise and feels great. They even explained which items were marginal in my system,which for me was something other Companies usually will not provide.

Anthony came out and solved a high water pressure issue for me. Anthony was good to work with. He installed a new Water Pressure Control Valve and even followed up with a phone call later that day to make sure everything was ok. ….
Service provided by Anthony and Gipson Heating and Air is superior to other companies I have used.

The quality, value, professionalism, responsiveness and dependability options in this survey all apply to Gipson Heating and Air but honesty is what I like most about this company. They have Serviced my 15 year old home unit for two years now and have never tried to sell me a new unit. Shane (the owner) always says he can keep it running with routine service and by topping off the freon at the beginning of each summer. He recommends this as it is cheaper for me and the best option with kids in college and a new unit is not needed right now. Previous HVAC companies pitched the need for a new unit based on age before even inspecting it.

But when it comes time for a new unit, as it was when Gipson replaced the 30+ year old unit in our rental house this summer, it was another positive experience with this company. Shane checked the unit, explained why this unit could not be repaired (it had rusted through in many areas) and recommended the best and most affordable unit for replacement. He even set me up with financing which allowed for payoff in six months with no interest.

It’s a very vulnerable feeling when you have problems that you don’t fully understand and feel like you are at the mercy of the repair tech’s information. I don’t have this feeling with Gipson as they take the time to explain and actually show you what the problem is before making the repair (Shane sent pictures to me at work when a fan motor needed replacing during last summer’s service).

I cannot recommend this company enough strictly based on their honesty and work ethics.

Shane and the team at Gipson Heating and Air are true masters and perfectionists of their craft.

Don’t waste your time trying to find someone that can do what Shane does down the the science at which he does it at. He has put in the hours, and he is always up-to-date on the latest in his industry.

I hired Shane and his team to come behind someone else who did the HVAC on my new home because something didn’t seem right. Shane very quickly responded to my phone call, he scheduled a time to meet with me, showed up on time, did a thorough evaluation and load calculation of my system, and explained the solution to the problem and how the solution would benefit my family, home, and wallet.

Shane and his team were not just in an out of my home as fast as possible while trying to sell me something I did not need like most companies. They took their time, did the job right the first time, and even cleaned up behind themselves so well it was like they were never at my home.

Had my AC stop working on the evening of the 4th of July, called them first thing on Friday morning after the holiday (company that did the install had a 5-day backlog) and the owner was able to come out and replace the capacitor and get it up and running. Great first-time service and has earned our future business. very professional and absolutely no complaints, I highly recommend to anyone looking for an AC company.
