Construction Company feedback from Anchorage residents

This company can do decent work however the ability to do it safely is far and in-between. I always see them driving down the wrong sides of the roads, illegally blocking public assess to certain roads while doing minor work, parked in the middle of lanes not moving with no hazard lights on, etc. I have plenty of dash cam videos saved showing these behaviors. Of which one was from almost being killed by one of their grader operators blowing through a stop sign just because "we have blinky lights...". Just an FYI, blinking lights do not give you the right to put my life in danger while breaking the very clearly set rules/laws regarding driving unless you have EMERGENCY lights. Those include BLUE, rocket science is hard I know. I've not only talked to the police about this behavior but a lawyer as well and they all confirm this behavior is illegal in nature. Their advice: record everything because then you can proove a pattern of negligence. If you hire them to work on your property, set up a camera to record the work session and just go straight to a lawyer next time if they damage anything. Always get before photos to document what it looked like before they show up. Do not record audio as that can run into gray area legally. Put a dash cam in your vehicle to prove anything that happens in traffic. Watch out for these people on the roads and be safe all!

An employee chipped 2 of the windows while weed whacking on JBER when confronted he had nothing but an attitude and repeatedly denied the incident I witnessed from my own vehicle. The employee refused to give his name or mention the company he was working for or bother to take his head phones out and talk and or acknowledge the incident claiming no fault. Although there was a vehicle from the company up the road I was able to speak with that got me in contact with the companies insurance and work the glass repairs some of the companies employees are better then others.

9/16 at portage trail Whittier Alaska. An excavator with tree clearing attachment was shooting debris(giant wood chunks) at cars and people walking down and parked at the trail head. Called the owner Paul Light and he said it’s not his fault the road should have been closed. So they must train their employees to shoot giant chunks of wood at people and property in the area. Reporting them to USFS, police, and contacting legal representation. No one should intentionally try to harm people and property. It is negligent to operate with zero due diligence. The road should have been closed again and made safe to operate. You don’t potentially harm people for life just because the area should have been cleared. Photos from after a majority of cars left trail head parking, which was not closed. I called the night of this occurring and the owner was incoherent(sounded very very drunk). They never returned my phone call after he said he would, and I had to follow up 4 days later and received horrible service.
