Great service, with good communication, cleaned my roof for a fair price always recommend Moss Boss, for almost any roof concern.

I worked with Mike off and On for a few year's. Great Guy reasonable good price, too bad they don't do services out in Soldotna I see a lot of rooftops needing assistance 😁

Great price and value for serivce was able to get out to perform services. My roof looks great and inside of gutters are looking good. My only complaint is that there is still some minor moss left in the space between my gutter and the lip of my roof.

I requested for the invoice to be sent to my address because the work was being done in my rental property and this is the response I got:

‘You don't accept text you the mail.

I can drop off the invoice that address.

Stop making me chase you down for payment.
This is ridiculous
He's made clear to you from the moment you agreed’

Completely unprofessional and rude stay away from them.

It's hard to find a reliable roofing company in Anchorage unless you want to wait a year or more. Moss Boss does roof replacement now and they were professional and did a great job. 2 thumbs up 👍 👌

Update: not a fake review from a competitor when you were rude to my father who requested services from you. Based off of your response and lack of empathy you’re only proving my point. DO NOT USE THIS HACK JOB OF A COMPANY!
They dont follow through with the services requested. They do a half-ass job- Owner is rude and combative. Reported business to BBB

Somebody should probably tell the driver that trying to run people off the road is bad for business. Especially when the company trailer is attached to the truck. Moss boss clearly has to hit up mannys drivers Ed before they take anymore jobs😂

Owner doesn't read his messages and when I called him on it, he called me rude and wrote in vulgar language.
We used the product wet it and forget it with the exact same results on another part of the property.
So, I don't recommend paying for this eradication service from this company if you want someone reliable and can communicate plus doesn't subcontract jobs to other people.
I have all the texts for proof of this. It can't be denied.

Mike, the owner, got with me same day to answer my questions and got me a quote the next day. We got scheduled and they came to clean our roof all within a week!

Price was very reasonable. The guys that came to work on our roof were great; they ended up staying late to get things finished 100%, and Im glad they did, our roof need some attention and cleaning in a bad way, and now it looks like its practically brand new!

Will be using them again in the future, and recommending them to others as well.

This business was investigated by the BBB in July 2024 & has 3 complaints with a F rating & NO CONTRACTORS LICENSE which is REQUIRED! BBB’s code also states that advertisers “should not make broad, unqualified general environmental benefit claims like “green” or “eco-friendly.” Don’t use Moss Boss!

Never used them and never plan to. I can't believe the disrespect this company shows to customers. I don't have to add details, because every owner response to a review does the work for me. I just wanted to help others with my new knowledge.

Their moss removal product/system doesn’t work well. In 2022, because of the rain after the preventive treatment on my five year contract, a worker came back and reapplied the treatment that year. By the fall, there was a lot of moss on my roof. When I noticed and was going to contact the company, we had the early snowfall that year that never melted. My roof had to wait until 2023. In 2023, Moss Boss didn’t fulfill the contract. Despite contacting the owner a couple of times and being told they would come out next week or soon, they never came in 2023 so I received no service for one of the years on my five year contract. We did have a rainy 2023, so that probably contributed to their inability to perform the preventative treatment in 2023. This year, the last year of my contract which expired in August (but I only received four years of service), the treatment was applied in May. It appeared to work, but my roof now has A LOT of moss on it. My contract has now expired. Next year, I will need to find another company to remove the moss on my roof. I believe the product worked in May, but the moss was back - even worse than before the treatment - within three months.

My mother purchased a warranty, where this company is to check her roof yearly. Mike has been completely unresponsive. I am more than happy to help my mother file a law suit. Mike, contact my mother within 10 days, or that's exactly what we will do. As you can imagine, I do not recommend this company. I will also file a Better Business Bureau complaint.

Quoted for pre-treatment and wash. Pre-treatment never happened and after several verbal threats. We just paid them to make them stop the harassing phone calls. They came back a week later to my house and dumped moss all over my front porch and roof. DO NOT USE THEM! Completely unprofessional!

Very unprofessional (see most prior reviews). I watched his business spray a house down the street with a small pressure washer rated to 1700PSI. They claim on website not to use pressure washers, but don't be fooled. I warned all my neighbors after what I saw. There's nothing "soft" about their method. Beware this grifter. Plus, every interaction on line is hostile and rude. Give your money to someone else and save your roof.

I met Mike Kennedy by chance/luck at a Walmart parking lot. After seen his business promotion in his car I asked him if he could stop by to give me a quote. I explained to him that I paid $700 to another company to clean the moss out of my roof because the house was going to be put on sale soon. This other company used a chemical that was supposed to kill the moss and it would “disintegrate” in 8 MONTHS and just left the dead moss there. Needless to say the roof was looking awful after the treatment and during the time the house was listed. I was not happy. Mike explained to me how the chemicals should’ve been used and the process to clear the roof of the dead moss. He said he would send a crew that weekend or the week after that and to my surprised, he texted me the next day saying that fortunately he was ahead of schedule and would be sending a crew that same day, by 2pm my roof was looking like new. His crew was professional and even laid down tarps to protect my plants and other areas from the debris. When was the last time you heard a company like this is ahead of schedule??? He understood my frustration and reassured the job was going to be get done like it was supposed to the first time. The difference between the 2 companies were night and day. I would 100% recommend this company to anyone who needs their roof taken care off.

Excellent customer service and work, highly recommended and will use this service again for next renter move out cleaning!

I have used J&S for years. Their thorough cleaning practices are exactly what we need with rentals. Mike and his black light find all the mishaps and my carpets look almost new after every cleaning.
