We had a great experience with Modern Desert Landscapes. They arrived on time and worked very hard to solved our drainage issues. The crew was very knowledgeable and friendly. They also explained everything thoroughly and made sure I was happy with everything before they left. I highly recommend them.

2 years ago I had modern desert landscaping put in a retaining wall in my backyard. I brought up the issue that the sub contractor he hired to do the job did not add a moisture barrier or any drainage like I requested. I was rest assured that the concrete that was used would not cause any efflorescence. Well here’s the proof the job was done half assed.

Paid $8,200 for a beautiful yard—got a grass-infested nightmare instead.

$8,200 later, my “new” yard is overrun with grass because demolition was done improperly. Nearly $3,700 was charged just for demo alone—yet grass is back, choking my plants. Months after contacting my sales advisor, I still have had no response. Looked great at first, but now it’s an ongoing nightmare. Buyer beware!

Original review: We had an amazing experience working with Modern Desert Landscapes on the transformation of our neglected front yard. We were looking for a more sustainable, water-friendly alternative to the existing grass, dead tree, and poorly maintained plants left by the previous owners—and they delivered. Nick was fantastic throughout the entire process, offering thoughtful suggestions and keeping communication clear and open. We’re thrilled with the final result and definitely plan to work with them again when it’s time to tackle the backyard.

The travertine around our pool started to significantly buckle. We contacted Modern Desert Landscaping and talked to Nick the owner. Immediately, he gave us the confidence that his team could fix the issue, which required removing all of the travertine, compacting the dirt and then putting all the pieces of travertine back in place. They finished the job on schedule and the workmanship is top notch. The travertine is very level like a dance floor. I especially couldn’t believe how they managed to reuse all the different cuts of travertine and put them right back in place like a perfect puzzle. I highly recommend Modern Desert landscaping for your landscaping needs.

With water price increases we decided to remove all the grass in our backyard. Modern Desert Landscaping put together a great plan to remove the grass and install an extension of our paver patio to include a beautiful pergola and artificial grass with a putting green. The work and people did a fantastic job. We are extremely pleased.

Working with Modern Desert Landscapes is a pleasure. They do such a good job and they guarantee 100% satisfaction. We have had them do 2 separate jobs, and we are planning on a 3rd in the fall. The crew is skilled and their work shows it. We had pavers and artificial turf put in. It made our front look so much better. I would definitely recommend them.

Called him on Wednesday... said that he would be over that same day ... never showed up ... never returned any of my calls

We hired James and Devin to put a tedious shed together. They did great!!!! We plan to hire him again when it is cooler outside. Hire them and support two veterans. Thanks for your service fellas! :) :)

Came to my house. Gave estimate. Said when he could start. No showed! No call. I called and text messaged and he texted back about family emergency. Said he could start next day. No call no show no text. So I asked him if he still wanted to do the job and when could I expect him. He said Monday 9am. No call no text no show. My neighbors had my dogs and waited for him to arrive so they could let him in all 3 days.

VERY RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL!

Jim is a Veteran and I enjoyed working with him putting together a shed. Jim was very methodical and did a very good job. He took the time to do everything right. I would not hesitate to hire him again. In fact I am having him look at an old garage that needs work. His prices are very reasonable. Hire Jim and support a Vet.

This review is long over do. When the pandemic first hit, I could not find anyone to help me when the bathtub was left running while the bather slept without ever bathing. I called every handyman land professional restoration service I could find in a 50 mile radius and no one would agree to come out and look at it for less than $500. Then I talked to Jim and explained our situation and he agreed to wear a mask, practice social distancing and come to my home two days in a row and help me mitigate the damages and then he came back three weeks later and did all the necessary repairs. His costs were reasonable and his work was professional.

Jim was the best. There should be more of him. He went right to work and knew exactly what needed to be done. I had a couple of doors that needed to be hung, but there were issues that made the installs tedious, time consuming and difficult and I had been quoted 3x what Jim charged me. I have used him twice before and recommend him to everyone I know. I did not have to worry about whether or not my kids annoyed Jim by asking too many questions because I kept them away from Jim so he could work. Just for the record, I don't take my kids with me to get my car repaired or to see my attorney either for the same reasons.

Emilio was very professional and provided us with the pest control services we needed and answered all are questions.

Had a snake get into our pest box. Lawrence did an amazing job with communicating with me things we could do and what he was going to put down. We realized the snake was dead after we got the box open and he disposed of him. Guessing he was over 4 ft long.

Emilio from Bucksworth pest control was great at getting the pest service done quickly and efficiently. Highly recommend!
