Constraction reviews in Avondale, Arizona

We just initiated legal proceedings against this company. They collected a deposit for half of the total amount of some backyard work that we wanted done. They then abandoned the project and have not responded to our communications. They are in breach of contract and we will pursue them to the fullest extent allowed by law.

Customer beware!!!!
Recently we paid $7830 down payment on roof replacement after signing a contract at the initial consultation and then right after that there was zero communication / zero follow-up. We tried multiple times to follow-up with Crossroads by calling and leaving messages and even went by their office and left a note on their locked door. We still have yet to hear back from them. Both BBB and ROC attempted to contact Crossroads as well about the problem and they received no response. We are now out our $7830 deposit.

Stole $4800 and haven't responded. No returned calls. Signed contract end of July, no update on start date or information regarding if they're still waiting for materials. It's November.

I suspect they are screening my number at this point. Guessing I have 2 options at this point. Warn enough people online via bad reviews, and perhaps this business cares enough to finally return my calls & emails. Or see if I can get my money back from their bond with lawyers.

I feel bad for their staff trying to make up excuses and empty promises on the very rare occasion I was able to get a phone call answered.

Stay far far far away from Crossroads Home Improvements! Gonna now need to file complaints with the State directly against their business license ROC#347744, and if there is an money in their bond that a lawyer can salvage my funds from. I'm expecting to get a fraction of my money back if I'm lucky.

Love my new bathroom from Crossroads! Tile work was exceptional and the whole thing came out beautifully. Chris, Eddie and the team were very responsive to us and communicated regularly through the whole process. A full bathroom remodel isn’t easy but they were great to work with.

Contracted with Croasroads for a full bathroom remodel. Make sure to check contracts and do not take the word of anyone at this company!

They demolished our cabinets and tub that were on the list of items to keep or were not on the contract at all. Then tried to convince us they did us a favor by replacing the tub but we still have no cabinets.

Each time the workers showed up, usually towards noon, they were unsure of what they were supposed to be doing. Then they would take an hour or more break on our patio, left their trash on the ground and wanted to work until well after 7pm. They were quick to take our cabinets and smaller accessories from the bathroom though. Also, make sure someone speaks Spanish to be able to provide direction and oversee the work, the company does not provide direction and oversight as part of the job.

The workers also attempted to get my wife to pay them for supplies claiming that the company does not furnish all materials needed for the job.

And the project manager, he would come out and glance at the work, ignore any questions or simply respond with "I'm just an employee, I don't know" to each question. When we tried to find out why the contract was so different than what we were told by the salesman, we were ignored completely. But when he wanted payment he was argumentative, aggressive, and still unwilling to answer any questions. I ultimately had to ask him to leave very directly, he stormed out scaring my wife in the process.

We asked for an itemized bill and were told they don't do that and haven't for 30 years. They refused to supply material costs even and went on about how overhead is built into the cost so they can't really share that. They also acknowledged there are plenty of software packages that can do this, they just don't want to provide this transparency to their customers. They will overcharge!!! It was approximately 80 square feet of tile (tile cost under $3/sqft), change a light (we provided the new light), and add an outlet on an interior wall with the bill being over 10k.

Pretty sure this company is out of business. I placed an order in August for some landscaping work. They came and did some measurements, but I was never contacted to work out the materials or anything else after that. I received an email a few weeks ago stating they had been nearly ruined by a disgruntled employee(s), and are trying to make right. I let it slide for a week thinking if the email was serious, they would contact me. Nope. I called them. Nothing. The phone rings once before going to voicemail. No response to emails either.

What makes me think they are out of business is the fact that you type in their business name, and you don't get an immediate result, you have to scroll down, or go to Google Maps to find the location. This tells me that they have stopped paying their search engine optimization bill, which you would only do if there was no point in advertising anymore - you're out of business. Thankfully, I was able to chargeback what I paid, and it was done very quickly, so if you paid this company, I highly suggest you charge it back before they can't pay you back.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY.
Crossroads Home Improvements LLC took our money, still owes us $7,000, and then completely disappeared.
We filed a complaint with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors — and they never even responded.
Result?
👉 Their contractor license was REVOKED by the State of Arizona on January 28, 2026.
This isn’t opinion. This is an official Final Administrative Order.
If a company won’t answer the state, imagine how they’ll treat you.
Save your money. Save your sanity. Run.

Had a great experience with Cross Roads. Sergio, the design consultant answered any questions we had. The work was done quickly and exceptionally well done. Everyone was professional and always courteous. Happy to have them do work on our home.

This company has been a nightmare to deal with from the beginning. I signed a contract in July to have a small concrete slab poured in my backyard and a new main entryway installed. I paid $3200 up front to cover the concrete and the cost of the new door.

Two months went by with no contact from Crossroads. When I called for an update, they suddenly were able to get me on the schedule the next day and install forms for the concrete. The following morning, they sent their crew to the wrong house, work didn't get done. They showed up the following day, then concrete was poured the day after that. The work was satisfactory. That is where the positivity ends.

I was told the new front door had been ordered but had not yet been received due to supply chain issues. Fine, keep me updated. Another few weeks went by, nothing. I called in September and was told they had my door and they were going to get me on the schedule, said they would call me back. They never did.

I called back a week later, I was given the brush and told "someone" would call me back. They never did.

I called again a couple weeks later, I was told "someone" would call me back. They never did. Are you seeing the pattern here?

There has been no contact whatsoever since then and now I can see from recent reviews that Crossroads is ripping people off all over town and have stopped answering their office phone. I guess we will have to seek legal action to recover the $1200 we paid for the door we never received.

I am so excited to share my experience with Crossroads. My home looks so nice now. I observed the entire process and they definitely prep as described and are careful when applying the paint. They are professional in every sense of the word. Also, my preliminary research shows that the paint makes a difference. My sales associate, Sergio, was involved from start to finish. Great experience!

What a great job! Check out the before versus after photos. My home looks as good as new. They did such a professional job on the exterior painting and RV gate (which they made from scratch), that I am having them replace the roof on my house. These guys are a class act!

Do not...I repeat do not do business with them. Our project was an absolute disaster and they walked off with $18k of our money. They get in way over their head and their workers are hit and miss if they are skilled enough to do any job. Looks like they have have been suspended through AROC....again. They have abandoned their phones. It was an absolute nightmare dealing with them.

This was the most attentive company I have ever dealt with. They were on time , clean and outstanding with all the work needed after a big storm destroyed my outdoor kitchen, roof and exterior walls. I highly recommend them and will be looking forward to them tackling my master bathroom remodel.
