This company is horrible. The owner likes to blame his incompetent pool techs and high turnover but at some point he needs to take accountability for that and his own lack of responsiveness and follow-through.

We have a salt cell and have had minimal chlorine production for months. Asked owner if salt level in pool was appropriate and if cell needed to be cleaned. After many weeks of not bothering to check and asking over and over, I’m told salt cell was inspected and doesn’t need cleaning. Salt level was checked and more could be added which they said they would handle. They then started documenting an appropriate salt level on all weekly maintenance visits. Owner tells us we need to run the pump 24/7 in order for cell to generate chlorine (essentially double the time it was previously running and generating adequate chlorine). In the mean time, we start noticing salt residue on pavers, pool toys, etc.. Since we’ve now parted ways, new company comes out – tells us salt cell is caked full of scale and desperately needs cleaning to function appropriately. Not sure yet if that’s the only issue or not. They check salt level and it’s double the recommended level so we had to drain half the pool and refill. Told us this was likely damaging pool equipment along with pavers/personal items because salt was so high. Clearly, they were not actually checking salt levels and never bothered to inspect the cell for cleaning needs.

We noticed our heater was not functioning properly so called the heater company out for a warranty visit. They found the flow to the heater had been turned to next to nothing by the pool company for some reason. Spent weeks without a properly functioning spa heater and had to pay for the service call since nothing was wrong with the heater.

We have cameras in our back yard and have observed multiple visits where the techs never brush the pool or even enter the equipment area to empty baskets, etc.. They send pics with the weekly reports though so these are clearly fabricated.
We’ve also observed multiple times where techs help themselves to our patio fridge for a cold beverage – not a huge deal but that’s stealing if you didn’t ask or obtain permission from the homeowner.

They insist on filter cleanings every 4months even though we have a yard with almost no debris. Again reviewed cameras on days of filter cleaning and the person supposedly performing the cleaning was in the area 10-15min max. Same amount of time they are typically there for weekly maintenance when the pool is actually brushed. Yet they bill 4-5x a weekly maintenance visit for a filter cleaning service. The last time the filter was cleaned, they left a huge mess of sand and debris all over our equipment room – didn’t bother sweeping or vacuuming the mess even though we have a shop Vac in the equipment room. Guess they already exceeded their 15min time limit for this service. We also just got another bill for a filter clean 1.5mo before the 4mo mark.

The list goes on, but bottom line: the company is incompetent, hard to communicate with, and worst of all, unethical. The only reason we stuck with them so long is they were the only company we found willing to remove and replace our safety net for maintenance.

I’ve been using McCoolsPools for regular pool cleaning for the 3 years , and the results have been outstanding! Before they started, my pool was often cloudy and had debris floating around. Now, it’s sparkling clean every time I look out my back window. The team is incredibly professional and always on time, especially Steve, who took extra time to explain the maintenance process. I can finally enjoy my pool without worrying about upkeep highly recommend their services!

He took the time to explain the chemical balancing process and even showed me how to check the filter pump. I appreciated the chemical report emailed afterwards, which really highlighted their commitment to quality and transparency. It's clear they know their stuff, and I feel confident in their expertise. Highly recommend!

We’ve used McCool’s Pools for our home in Scottsdale and they’ve been extremely reliable. The pool always looks great and communication is solid. The weekly service updates with photos are a nice touch.

I switched to McCool's after my last pool company kept missing visits. Total night and day difference. I get photos after every cleaning, and the water is consistently blue and balanced. Carlo even reached out personally to make sure everything looked good on my end. Can't ask for better service.

McCool’s Pools handled my filter and a full clean at my home in Cave Creek, and I’m really happy with how it turned out. Chris showed up on time, walked me through what he was doing, and was easy to talk to. The whole thing was quick and stress free, and the pool looks crystal clear now. I felt taken care of as a customer and would definitely recommend them if you need pool service in Cave Creek.

McCool's has been taking care of our pool in Rio Verde for 2+ years and have provided exceptional service. Monday, a day after my son-in-law ran the Tempe IronMan and my daughter ran the Women's marathon, we attempted to turn our hot tub on with no luck. We called McCool's service department alerting them we needed support ASAP with family in town and recovering athletes that needed the spa. Carlo, the Service Manager, said he needed a few minutes to figure out next steps, and within two hours both he and Steve McCool (the owner) showed up at the house. I walked outside and they were at the control panel wrapping up a settings reset and were able to get the spa heater on again. They walked me through the issue, had me test the system with my phone app, and all was good. I can't thank them enough and can't believe the customer service provided. If you need pool and spa service, we highly recommend McCool's. The best!!! Mike D.

We use McCool's Pools for weekly service at our rental property in Cave Creek and they've been extremely reliable. Guests always comment that the pool looks great. Their notifications with pictures give us peace of mind since we're not always there. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a worry-free setup.

Trash cans were clean after they came. Very accommodating with scheduling professional service and overall easy to deal with. Spent less then a minute on the phone and a couple days later got a text invoice to pay it was effortless.

Bin Bandits always leaves my trash cans sparkling clean and smelling fresh. I contacted them out of desperation when no one else was servicing my area, and they were kind enough to oblige, even though I was out of their regular service area. My trash cans were breeding an obscene amount of flies because we had a large dog, RIP to the best girl ever ❤️, so this service was essential for us. I will continue to use Bin Bandits. I'm shocked at how clean our bins are after Bin Bandits came. I'm so glad we called them. LJ made setting everything up super easy and he was here and done before I even knew it. I highly recommend them!

Between old dirty diaper residue and rotting chicken carcasses in 100+ degree weather, our bins were so foul that we were stinking up the entire cul de sac..Enter Bin Bandits who did a great job! My kids got a kick out of me voluntarily inhaling the nice, fresh smell of freshly washed trash can. The service was very prompt and easy to organize. I will definitely be using Bin Bandits again, and I no longer feel ashamed before our new neighbors!

I honestly cannot believe how clean (like new!) they got our bins. These folks will not disappoint. The communication was outstanding. Payment was super easy. I want the entire valley to know and use these guys. A neighbor of mine used a different company last year and they had to come back multiple times because they couldn’t get the stink out. Bin Bandits provides great service. They recently cleaned for me 2 terrible and dirty trash bins at a rental property in North Scottsdale and they came out perfectly clean and totally spotless. Highly recommend their service.
