We had our backyard remodel bid by two companies. Both were in the same pricing ballpark, but we could tell that Erik had a clear vision of what we were trying to accomplish. The results are incredible! He had the same professional crew on time every day, which is nice when you open up your home to strangers. We've had some pretty terrible experiences with remodels in the past, but Erik and his Team took care of everything, on time and within budget. Can't give a higher recommendation. Thanks, Erik!!

It’s not easy doing a remodel in phoenix while living in flagstaff, but Eric and his team eased our worries, met our deadline and completed an absolutely gorgeous project. Looking forward to working with them again and our hearts are forever grateful for the hard work and professionalism.

From start to finish, under 4 months, everyone from sales to sign off, highly highly highly recommend DSP.
All communication was through email (good for paper trail) and responses were very prompt.
All the workers were did a great job, even in the heat.
Any issues were promptly addressed.
If you want quality built pool, DSP is THE choice.

My pool has been competed for about 3 1/2 years now. My biggest point of contention is the PUL pop up system that breaks down every 3 months or so. I am at a point where I can’t even tell if it’s working so I am just spending money on energy for a system that doesn’t work consistently. I Just don’t understand why they can’t fix it once and for all and anyone considering that pop up systems stay far away. Between that, shotty masonry work, and now my expensive microbrite pool light going out just 6 months past the warranty, this has been a devastating experience. I will say the only reason I’m not giving 1 star is Desert Soul did try to make amends on certain things with reimbursements but im still stuck with having to deal with a system that doesn’t work correctly and now just left with my wallet busted wide open. For spending $150k on a pool you would hope for a better experience but that just isn’t the case. If I were to do it again I would rather just BYOP to save the money or go with a bigger builder with better warranties like Shasta.

The office experience was great. It’s all family owned and operated. Once it comes time to the actual construction there are pros and cons. They are great communicators. Very efficient however once the construction leaves the hands of the owners son, there are problems. Gary (son) is great the sub contractors are fine it’s the foreman that you might get stuck with who works for desert sol that’s the issue. He doesn’t do a thing. He’s a used car salesman. Talks a game but doesn’t know how to play it. So you end up having to go back to the company and get Gary back out to fix issues or the owners of the subcontractors. I think we had a son in law. He literally stood on cut diamonds that were cut wrong for two weeks straight looking at the plans never realizing the marble was laid incorrectly. So they had to rip up what was already cemented in and redo it. The marble got stained, grouting had to be redone all around the pool, it had to be power washed everything got so dirty, the seams are still stained, tiles still haven’t been grouted properly. So they’re issues. We did the whole design ourselves and clearly desert sol loves it as they’ve been using it in all their new advertising. But for $100k+ you’d think it should be perfect. I get that might not be a lot of money to them but sorry that’s a fortune to most. And that was the sale price. So yes they are one of the more expensive builders. Also do not use their recommended slider/gate company for pool safety compliance. Their products are absolutely terrible and are an embarrassment to desert sol. We had to hire a second company and redo the slider.
