Only getting one star because ZERO stars is not an option. BUYER BEWARE!!! I was referred to Sanctuary landscape when I purchased my pool form Presidential Pool. After 2 1/2 years, I am still waiting for follow through from Collin (co-owner) to complete simple issues (cracked paver and grout issues). For 2 1/2 years, Collin tells me he'll be out to fix my issues. After 4 to 6 months I have to follow up with Collin - I'm told he'll be out the next week . . . and the cycle has continued until the last 6 weeks when my requests have just gone ignored. Collin and Sanctuary were paid in full, after I received a guilt trip about them being a small business and they needed the money - even though this went against my better judgement (I told Collin I wasn't comfortable paying in full until the job was 100% completed) but I was the nice guy . . . and we all know what happens to nice guys! I have been taken advantage of and now have have to waste time and money, finding solutions to get my job completed (small claims court). I tried filing a complaint with the BBB but did not see Sanctuary listed. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS - THEY DO NOT STAND BY THEIR WORD OR THEIR WORK!

Kerri has been amazing!! We are so grateful for all her hard work. After dealing w Presidential it was refreshing to work with someone who cared and took charge. Oh and who answered text message and phone calls! Thank you so much Kerri.

4 star because we did not feel that every options was covered with us at the planning stages as far as tile options for BBQ, any kind of gazebo options etc.

Recently put in a pool and required landscaping as well. I was referred to Sanctuary Landscape by the pool company and was impressed with CJ Daley as we reviewed my options and built out a design. As with any major project you run into unforeseen circumstances; weather, supply, staffing, product issues and equipment challenges, thus the need to discuss plan changes. Be prepared to understand and accept your timeline will get pushed out, from past experience I certainly expected it. You need to have patience and be willing to compromise, yet still receive service and product to your satisfaction when considering overall expense. It is easy to get frustrated, even angry...however, I will say and fully endorse working with CJ Daley will appease your discontent to complete satisfaction in the end. To me, CJ Daley is Sanctuary Landscape, his integrity, ethic, and level of communication was top drawer. He is their brand, and an absolute priceless asset to this company.

CJ has been great to deal with from the beginning! We are almost finished building a pool with Presidential and Sanctuary has been the best sub we have had on site during this build! Will be using them again when it comes time for the front yard project!

I would agree with many of the above reviews. There is no one in charge or checking in on the project. CJ was great at answering our concerns and trying to solve problems for us, but we will still left figuring things out on our own. We had very specific plans, but not all the details were shared with the workers that would show up. Luckily I know Spanish and was able to go out and talk to the crews to stop them when they were doing something wrong. We had to babysit the project. We went with Sanctuary because we thought we wouldn't have to do that. So we were very disappointed to pay more for such a headache. We are still waiting on more sand for our pavers months after promised. They, only after us asking, said they would throw in some plants for free for all the hassle, but we have yet to see those either. Just know that you will have to call and call and call to get anything done, and even then it will take weeks.

Was referred by a friend who had nothing but great things to say about their experience.

Reached out to have my front yard done. Weed removal, new plants, water lines and the whole nine yards.

Other places I contacted never called back or responded in a timely manner. Sanctuary sent someone out right away and we scheduled it to get done. Was done in a very timely manner and the work was incredible! They will be doing my backyard in the very near future!

Highly suggest Sanctuary if you are in the market!

Let me start off with I typically do not do this, but Sanctuary Landscape has been so bad for 2 plus years I feel it necessary for people to hear my experience. I went with them because I used Presidential Pools and thought it would be easier. I was wrong. It was one excuse after another during construction, 6 months after completion dead plants from being over watered. These weren't small plants either. They replaced one, and another died they would no longer come out and just stopped responding. I have emails showing all this for the record. I finally have a new professional landscaper come out to address all the rotten plants, and tear out all the drip lines. They tied my entire backyard onto my front yard (went cheap of course) They did not use dedicated drip line for trees just had everything on one. I am paying for everything that I paid ALOT of money 2.5 years ago to be ripped out and re-done. I have had so many issues with the travertine they installed as well. I was told they used only sand (no quarter minus substrate) no silicone sand either between joints so I have very very uneven travertine. Well I didn't know I had two years to file and I am past this now. I contacted Sanctuary to give them an opportunity to fix this, but of course they said " your 2 year warranty expired in June". With all the issues I had and now just poor installation of ALOT of travertine I am stuck footing more expense to make my backyard right. Do yourself a favor- look else ware. They don't respond to warranty issues, they did a horrible job with travertine, and they do not setup irrigation proper.

CJ was very good at setting or design up and responding. That is my only good comment. The project manager for our construction I saw once. Everything was always late or holding up presidentials pool schedule and other work. I had to call constantly to get things done and the answers I got were always shot from the hip just so I would leave the project manager alone. The works never seemed to know what the plans were and had little supervision from someone with the plans. If I wanted to be my own project manager I would have paid less money and hired a local guy.

Despite several issues throught our pool and landcaping project CJ was always very responsive and accommodating. CJ made his best effort to correct issues and missed work items that were left to him by a previous Sanctuary employee. I commend him for genuinely listening and being sympathetic as we worked through the project, and in the end our project turned out beautiful.

We worked with Presidential and Sanctuary for a landscape/pool design on our front and back yards a couple years ago, and we’re very pleased with the work. However, we have run into problems with some of the lighting in the landscape portion after a little over a year and have been 100% unable to get any sort of a response from this company. We have submitted forms through their website, called repeatedly and left our contact each and every time for over a month and received nothing but radio silence. I’m appalled and won’t recommend anyone use this company if this is the follow-up they receive.

We are very pleased with Sanctuary's installation at our home. C.J. created an amazing 3D drawing that exceeded our vision for a modern design with a pergola, barbeque, custom fire feature, travertine patios and a wonderful variety of palms & plants. The entire Sanctuary team was great to work with, the results are beautiful, and our back yard has now become a welcome retreat.

I worked with CJ from sanctuary because he was recommended by Bill from Presidental. CJ help my wife and I design a beautiful backyard. Of course because of covid there's always going to be some hiccups but CJ was great. Whether I reached out to him on a Saturday or later in the evening he always responded and reassured me things were going to get done. This week they finished my backyard and it looks beautiful. Thanks to CJ and his team we can now enjoy our backyard.

First off, CJ Daley (our sales rep) was extremely professional and was completely transparent throughout the entire process! He is communicative and highly knowledgeable about the specific needs of his clients and I would highly recommend working with him if calling in. As far as the crew is concerned, they ALWAYS showed up on the day and time they said they were going to! This was extremely refreshing since other landscaping companies we have used in the past showed up for their projects whenever they wanted and never finished the them on time. To give you insight on our project with Sanctuary, we had 1,200 square feet of travertine laid, 200 linear feet of travertine border for a grass area, and a large 9x3ft gas fire pit built with stacked stone. This was not a small project by any means and they did a beautiful job! The patio section and walkways were laid perfectly and the intricate cuts around the pillars and other areas were done with precision. Our fire pit turned out amazing as well! You can put a level all the way around it and it is dead on. The crew also did a great job organizing the different patterns of stacked stone so it flowed nicely. We have had a number of parties since the job was complete and our guests cannot get over how great the yard looks! We could not be happier with the entire experience with Sanctuary! CJ and the entire crew were amazing throughout the process and my wife and I would highly recommend them to anyone with a landscaping project of any size!

The best thing about Sanctuary is CJ he's phenomenal! CJ did a great job with the redesign of our entire back. He also went out of his way to answer and return call's while on vacation so 6 star's for CJ and a huge THUMBS up!!! As for the rest of Sanctuary 3 stars... dont show when they say they will. Work half days and the hard/softscape crews dont communicate. This delayed our project plus left Rock out in the street for a extended period which our HOA was not happy with. Job was finished as promised but with communication could of easily been 5 star's had it gone smoother.

This was tied in with our new pool from Presidential.

Worst company. All of the negative reviews are spot on, listen to the warnings. Huge delays, unannounced visits, terrible work quality. You will spend the day staring out your window babysitting their work crew and their every move. Random crews will show up and dump materials in front of your house and then Sanctuary will not come back to work for weeks. If there is one day of rain in the week they will use that to push your work back weeks. We had to hire a separate company to finish the project after Sanctuary continued to delay. We had multiple neighbors complain about them.

Sanctuary Landscaping did our backyard and we are extremely happy with the end result. We added rock with a patch of artificial turf. C.J. was wonderful to work with. He was knowledgeable, flexible and always responded to my phone calls. Aaron and Alfredo were very fast in starting and finishing the job in 2 days. We will definitely use Sanctuary Landscaping again.

CJ Daley did a great job designing our front steps and entry project. Unfortunately we decided to cancel the project and Sanctuary was understanding why we made the decision. I would not hesitate to call them for future projects.

We worked with CJ who was referred by our pool company, Presidential pools, and we have a truly designer, dream inspired backyard! CJ came to our house and asked for our vision, suggested plants, trees and flowers, constructed 2 virtual pergolasand had a 3D design in under an hour, and worked with contractors to make it happen. We are very pleased with the company and their work.

If you want your post-pool installation landscaping done right, on time, and with great communication, this is certainly NOT the company for you! Where to even begin with this poor excuse for a company. I am beyond furious with the lack of professionalism from Sanctuary. They have been subcontracted through Presidential Pools (who took 11 months to complete a pool promised in < 2 months), and now that the final payment has been submitted, nobody will answer. I’ve been left with turf installed in my back yard with my newly completed pool for WEEKS now with no response from management aside from “you’ll get on the schedule” or “I’ll get back to you by end of day” with zero follow-through. This entire process has been a disaster, and this company has been the cherry on top. Stay far away from this company. There are plenty of businesses that can and will do better in Gilbert.

After reading the reviews about Sanctuary, we were really skeptical about going with this company for our landscaping needs. I figured it was worth a shot to at least talk to someone about the work we wanted done, and I was pleasantly surprised after working with CJ. Not only did he assure us that he would prove the bad reviews wrong, which he did, he was patient, understanding, and willing to work with us throughout the process. He answered any and all questions we had and made sure our changes were made in a timely manner to get us exactly what we wanted in the end. Happy to give a 5 star review because of the hard work CJ put into our project. Ask for him... you won’t be disappointed!

We worked with CJ and our experience with him was top notch. We came into the project not knowing exactly what we wanted, and his creative vision and guidance helped us make our dream back yard a reality. He was responsive and attentive during the construction process, and even helped up resolve an issue that showed up well after the project was complete. In short, CJ at Sanctuary Landscape was professional and exactly the kind of person you want to work with.
