Needed a valve stem to replace one at least 23 years old. Had the part at a fair price. Even gave some advice on putting in the new one. Works great. Thanks

I needed to repair the tubing to my refrigerator's ice maker, which was spewing water. I called Homeowners, and they were honest and upfront. He asked if I knew the size of the tubing, but I didn't. If I could get to it, he said, I could cut out a very small piece and bring it in. He explained that the installed coupler between 2 cut ends renders a single watertight tubing. The guy knew exactly what he was talking about when I came in, too, because he showed me how the $3.39 coupler worked. Worked flawlessly. Badass.
I own a small honest business myself, so I love when someone puts money in my pocket even when it means some out of their's. He didn't try to make me feel dumb or unfit to repair it myself. That's honesty and fairness. I never got your name, but Thanks, Man! -
I've been using this place for years. The owner has been very helpful every time I have called or went into his place for help. Very knowledgeable about all things plumbing (Old or new). I rarely start or finish any complex plumbing job at home without his help anymore.

Remodels are never what you think!
I found a gem, a beautiful Victorian dual vanity, perfect for my bathroom remodel until we realized both faucets leak. My fiancé tried every trick he new and all the tricks the guys at home depot new, nothing worked. We called the home warranty company out and they too could not fix the leaks. Being the persistent person I am I knew we just needed someone who could think outside the box, that's when we went to Steve at Homeowner's Plumbing. After months of ordering parts, matching parts, trying this and that Steve asked us to bring them in and in no time he had them working! A huge THANK you to Steve for thinking outside of the box and fixing the faucets for my dream come true vanity! Allisa and Rob -
I was pleased they had the pipe fittings I needed when others like Home Depot and Lowe's did not. Plus, I quickly learned in talking to them they have more experience and knowledge than others. Their confidence is noticed, plus they can be blunt. I like that - I can also see how this can offend some of the the younger touchy-feely generation (Biden type) who might think being blunt rude... Ah,, so funny, these kids these days, so sensitive, but yet so naïve.. My guess, most of these complainers are just one of the tens of thousand California's still polluting out state with liberal politics. Ugh - We don't want you here.

Had a leaky toilet and decided to try to fix on my own. In removing the suspect part, a piece of it broke off. I called this place and was told they had the part. Owner (?) said he didn't know if it would fix the problem. It did not. In researching online found the part had been recalled. Flushmate sent me all new parts and even provided a plumber to install. Tried to return part to business but was told since it was open, he would not take it back. Wondered why he hadn't told me about the recall!!! He said, he "doesn't sell cars". Called Flushmate and they sent me a new part to return. He would not take it because "he had already restocked the part" and I, apparently, do not "understand retail". All he wants to do is argue and both times I left abruptly, heading home to write this up for all of his would be customers. Be sure you need the parts absolutely, because no matter what, he will not take them back.

I searched all over town to find a simple pfister shower handle, went to home depot, lowes, ace, every hardware supply store I could think of and not once found a helpful person. I walked into this plumbing supply store and was instantly greeted, I showed him the old handle and he said immediately "yep those are right over here." Hallelujah I finally got to turn off my shower completely after a week of BS. It took me 2 minutes to install and I shut off my shower. The price was reasonable too, I checked online for prices and the low end was 20 and the high end was 40, I paid 21 after tax. All in all very pleasant and stress free transaction

Steve was very informative he help me out with my plumbing needs answered all my questions had the right parts available on his shelf got to pet his cat laying on the counter. I would highly recommend referring people to his shop. Very friendly atmosphere.

Always been my homeowner one stop plumbing store! Took care of my toilet and swimming pool fill valve troubles this morning. Pleasant folks and knowledgeable enough for my needs
-
Went in and William was very knowledgeable, he helped us with our plumbing issues and taught us how to use the tools we needed. Hopefully we won't have any other issues but if we do we will come here.

GO HERE FOR ALL PLUMBING NEEDS! He is so knowledgeable and took the time to explain what I needed to do to replace my toilet flange in detail. He was actually out of the specific part I needed so he knew there would be no sale but still took the time to help me out. He told me where I could get the part too. THANK YOU!

Over several trips to this store, Steve was extremely helpful in ensuring that we buy the right part and helping us understand how to install it. He said, "I don't want to sell you what you don't need." And when a total was only a couple of bucks, he ripped off the receipt and said, "Add this to the total, next time you come in," rather than running our card again. I find that this kind of neighborhood relationship and service is what makes shops like this SO MUCH BETTER than "big box" stores. This is the kind of place that you go out of your way to purchase from. Prices are very competitive, too. You don't pay extra for the excellent, personalized service.
I honestly cannot understand why people would rate this store with one star. We've had nothing but excellent experiences. -
Steve is the best! I was looking for a part for my shower and someone suggested I give him a call. I emailed him picture and he explained to me how to take off all the pieces. He hadn't yet met me and still had the patience to walk me through it. Later that day I came in to get the replacements and again he patiently explained to me what I need to do to get it connected again. I brought it home and had trouble putting it together. I called him just as they were closing and he stayed on the phone with me until it was working again which was a good 15 minutes after closing. I am excited to know that there is someone I can call the next time I need and I won't have to call a handyman right away.

The day I walked into this location, I needed help to learn how to remove a particular shower knob and to purchase a replacement.
I was so overwhelmed by the nasty smell of cigarette smoke, it smelled like someone had been smoking in this building for 40 years.
The person that helped me was the Proprietor (according to his business).
I had gone to Home Depot first but unfortunately they didn't have what I needed, so they sent me to this location and they spoke highly of it unfortunately.....
The person inside this HOMEOWNERS PLUMBING store did not look at Home Depot in the same way.
As a business owner I don't believe you you need to talk down about your competition in order to make yourself look better and to keep a customer happy.
While here he harshly described Home Depot staff poorly and thier products as worthless and his location was the only place anyone should ever shop because he's the only one that knows anything.
I can honestly say I will never talk highly of this place and I will never return. After leaving Homeowners Plumbing Supply Inc. I return to Home Depot and informed their Plumbing staff.
I do hope the person that helped me the day I went in, reads this review and gets the hint of how I felt and how much does he might be missing if Home Depot never send him another customer.
PS this is probably the longest review I've ever posted. -
I have shopped here over many years. And I often return because the advice is the best.
I had been attempting to install a washer/dryer combo in a guest room and make the water connections to the lavatory sink. Steve had the right parts, told me the best way to remove the old water valves and properly install the new ones.
And if he doesn't stock the parts he can usually tell you where to find them.
Thank you Homeowners! -
Horrible service I would rather drive farther to Peoria than deal with these people

Been coming to this plumbing place since I was a kid with my grandfather. Always super helpful and knowledgeable. I know the owner died sometime back and someone was filling in who also was very knowledgeable and then it closed suddenly for a long period of time and seems to have new owners. I would recommend that you not come here any longer because it’s not the same place. I would say I even felt unwelcome and inconvenienced that I was there and needed their help. It’s almost hard to put towards how uncomfortable I felt there.

Very disappointed in the service and assistance while trying to find a faucet stem that I needed. There was very little help if any and not way were they interesting in assisting me in getting the repair part. In the past I was always impressed with the owners help in my repair needs. If they didn't have the needed part, they would special order one for me. I'm very disappointed and will NOT be returning to this supply location in the future.

Rude and closed on weekends, where everyone does their DIY. Good reviews are likely for previous owners, because they were great.

The best! Wouldn't use anyone else!!

Great customer service and reasonably priced.
