Damage control was helpful at cleaning up the flood damage, but working with the DC restoration contractor and his boss has been a nightmare. Communication was poor and disrespectful. They left me with a broken water heater. They had people move a heavy fish tank and not move it back. The contractor hired another company to move and store appliances. They did not supervise the appliance moving company (yellow jackets) and this company dropped the fridge on the threshold of my sliding door, removed the special Bosch tubing to my dishwasher and replaced with generic, and they drilled unneeded holes in my cabinet. After they drilled the unneeded holes, without asking, they left the sawdust all over the floor. I asked for an explanation multiple times, and they would not respond. The worst part was the disrespect that the contractor and his supervisor treated me with. I don’t know whether it was because I am a woman or because there was a rainbow flag displayed at my home, but their unkindness was truly astonishing. My recommendation is to find a different company.

Went through my insurance to get a quote on drywall, tile, and cabinets. Absolutely terrible company to work with. Had to follow up with them several times on status. Once I selected the route I wanted to go (hiring them for the cabinets but going with a different vendor for tile and drywall) they were a "All or nothing" company and didnt want to accept the job. Took 2 weeks just to figure this out and now Im back to square 1 on cabinets.

Horrible experience very unprofessional. No follow up at all. The work done was done very poorly mostly covered up. They failed to submit supplemental claim to our insurance company and ordered cabinets we cancelled and tried to force us to keep them! DO NOT USE THEM WORD OF ADVICE

Would not recommend them. They were dispatched as a preferred vendor by my insurance company. There initial assessment fell short of what was actually going on (my opinion). After making changes with my insurance company, they reached out @ 7:25 a.m. after they were notified that we chose another company. First off being called that early is unacceptable. Secondly if you were notified that we went with someone else, shows lack of communication.

So initially DC restoration seemed to be pretty good. The dry out was okay, but the way they moved things around and placed them to get the stuff out of the area was not very organized and not cleared with us or communicated that it was happening. The follow through was awful and the communication was the WORST! This is not something that people typically have to deal with, and it would have been a huge peace of mind if the communication was better. I would NEVER recommend this company. Communication, Communication, Communication is all I can say! They do not have it, and it is a poorly run company! The quality of the work that was done was okay but nothing to gloat about. I can't speak on the value because insurance paid.

I am not a client of DC Restoration. I live next door to a condo that burned in May of 2024. Since that time, I have lost TWO tires to construction nails. Their workers damaged my garage wall. I was promised by the project manager if I submitted bills of the cost of tire change and replacement I would be compensated. My HOA has submitted the bills THREE times via email. I was told by a worker he would repair my garage wall and hasn’t been repaired yet. They also like to park in front of my garage door thus blocking my access. During the initial demo they banged on my common wall so much, I had vintage glassware fly off shelves and shattered on the floor. How much more is DC Restoration going to cost me in $$, damage, and inconveniences?????
