We had a great experience working with Burt and Anthony to have a tree removed from our backyard. The crew was also friendly as well! Great work at a competitive price.

Anthony came out to give me a more than fair quote and then returned to trim and remove a tree as discussed, way back in May. I truly wanted to see if the work him and his crew did were going to stand-up against the brutal summer and incoming monsoon and they sure did!!
Less than two weeks ago there were winds strong enough to rip a Palo Verde up and out of the ground next door to me, but my trees didn’t even drop so much as a branch. Can’t recommend Arizona Urban Arborists enough!!!
They’re professional, on-time, knowledgeable, clean, efficient and kind - I’ll be using them in the future and recommending them to everyone I know.

This company did an amazing job trimming my large Arizona ash. Many months later after the long extra hot summer my tree was struggling. The owner stopped by and told us how to care for the tree in the excessive heat. I highly recommend company and will call them for help with any tree that I care about.

You don’t see many companies with a perfect 5 star Google rating. This company has one. They have it for a reason. Burt knows everything about trees and he’s happy to share what he knows with you.

Unfortunately we needed to have our huge mesquite tree removed. Jose and his crew showed up and took care of us. They were friendly, outgoing, fast, efficient, and left the area around where the tree was cleaner than when they got here.

If you need tree advice, pruning, or removal you can’t possibly go wrong by hiring Arizona Urban Arborist. I know I will hire them again and I will recommend them to anyone who asks me for a referral.

Anthony stopped by to do a consultation on a sickly tree that we wanted to save. His communication before the visit was flawless. He spotted the problems immediately, then spent quite some time giving valuable information on what was causing the issues and how to correct them and advised on details we hadn't even thought of. He gave some advice on another shrub that was having a hard time even though we hadn't called about it. Overall, he was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful beyond the call of duty. We'd happily recommend Anthony and Arizona Urban Arborist without reservation.

We had an old mesquite tree that was quite tall and leaning towards our house. It also had a lot of above ground roots and dropped a lot of junk in our pool. We couldn't decide if we should cut it down or trim it. We decided to look for a company online for advice. We found Arizona Urban Arborist that had the best reviews. We called them and set up an appointment with Anthony, Anthony came out and evaluated the tree. He gave us 2 estimates, one to trim it up to take weight off of it and a second estimate to cut it down. I initially decided to just trim it and scheduled the job. The morning of the job I changed my mind and decided to have it cut down. I then changed my mind again. Anthony was very patient with me and offered to come out before his crew arrived to help me make the decision. He went over everything with me again, the pluses and minuses of both approaches. With his expert advice I finally decided to cut it down. His crew arrived a couple of hours later. They were very impressive and friendly. They had the whole tree down and ground out the stump in a very short time period.They definitely deserve my 5 stars.

Anthony was easy to communicate with and Jose and crew did an excellent job taking down a big Palo Verde in our front yard. Good price, good company.

I was in a process of purchasing a property, and submitted a quote request online on their website. Got a callback immediately, it made me feel bad because it took me a while to send them the photos and more details about the property to complete a drive-by inspection.
The inspection day came, and Anthony called me to walk me through the details of his assessment, and promptly followed through with a formal quote via email. Unfortunately, the purchase transaction did not go through, but I sincerely appreciate the courtesy that Anthony extended throughout the inspection process, and his sharing of knowledge and expertise. There is no doubt that if I ever need an arborist in the future, I will contact Anthony/Arizona Urban Arborist again, and will refer this company to all of my friends. The crew did an amazing job for me! I had a large dying Saguaro cactus, along with a Palm tree that was in a very tight space for removal. They were able to get both out, taking a lot of precautions not to damage anything around them. Following the removal, the crew cleaned up the bark and tree residue, leaving nothing behind. I would highly recommend this company for doing a superb job at a reasonable price. The Owner, Anthony, is also very good with communication and follows through with agreements.

Anthony was fantastic! He came out the same day to look at our backyard tree, adjusted the staking and irrigation, and gave us great advice for the year ahead—all free of charge. Professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. I’ll be calling him for every tree need from now on!

Everyone was professional and thorough. His prices are reasonable and he is very knowledgeable about what he does. Great job, I won’t hesitate in calling him again!

I meant to write this review last year when Arizona Urban Arborist trimmed my trees in June 2023. I have so many trees! Mexican Fan palms, Date palms, Queen palms, Pigmy palms, Ficus trees. Many are very tall and need to be climbed. Over-pruned palms look clownish to me and I don't think it's healthy for them. Arizona Urban Arborist trimmed them perfectly, 26 trees in total. It looked so good when they were done, it made a dead bush and an overgrown Sago stand out. So they took care of those, too, even though it wasn't in the scope of the job. Even after a long hard hot day, they cleaned up all the debris to my satisfaction. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

I am changing my review as the owner of the company has made everything better. He cares about his company so much that he showed up at my door. He is going to make everything right and replace one of my trees. I absolutely 💯 recommend this company. I hope everyone will consider their company in the future.

They pruned 9 mature trees on our property and did a really great job. Arrived on time with great communication throughout, excellent cleanup, and we will definitely hire them again.

Great overall experience with Arizona Urban Arborist! Burt came to the house to assess a couple trees in our front yard. After some discussion, I decided to have one tree trimmed and the other removed. In its place, we decided to plant a new tree. The quote for all the work was extremely reasonable. A couple days later, Jose and his crew did a remarkable job with all tasks listed on the work order. I plan to use them again and would highly recommend their service.

What a breath of fresh air! I’ve gone through so many landscaping type “professionals” who know absolutely nothing about what they’re planting or what kind of care is required. Just the fact that Arizona Urban Arborist answers the phone, returns calls and shows up for their appointments puts them light years ahead of the rest. They are knowledgeable, courteous and professional. A true pleasure to work with. I’m looking forward to many years of a working relationship with Arizona Urban Arborist.

Arizona Urban Arborists were here today to trim a few large trees and remove some shrubs. What a real pleasant surprise to experience knowledgeable professionals and a crew that really cared about our property. They truly know trees and what is good for them and what is not. The icing on the cake was how clean they left our yard.

From the first discussion through to today, Burt and Anthony demonstrated their knowledge and passion for their work, and I will happily use them again and recommend them with no reservations.

Last month I shared a review about Arizona Urban Arborist. I couldn't be happier to share another update that they installed a new front yard landscape for me.

Anthony did a great job designing it and the crew worked very hard in the heat for four days putting everything together. I could have a big company do it, but I chose AZ Urban Arborist because they are a small business and they do care about their employees. They are willing to work with my budget. I plan on hiring them to finish our backyard. I received so many compliments in person, calls, and texts from friends and neighbors. What set AZ Urban Arborist apart from other landscapes businesses based on the following qualities that this business Arborist represent all. If you would like to redo your yard, give them a call.

The saguaro cactus has been sick for 5 years with full-blown bacteria and decay. The trees are getting too big and might cause damages to roofline, foundation and plumbing. I work with Burt who owns Arizona Urban Arborist and he is VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE and wonderful to work with. He took his time to EDUCATE me and gave me Pros and Cons so that I am equipped with the information to make an informed decision. He NEVER tried to sell me anything nor forcing me to make a rushed decision. I finally decided to remove the HUGE pistache trees in the courtyard and the dead saguaro cactus. It took me years to nourish and take care of them and only 2 hours to cut them down. So devastating!!

On a positive note, I have an awesome Arborist, Burt, who is VERY reasonably priced and very kind to work with. He knows A LOT about trees and can help you out. He's a teacher and can educate you on many different levels about trees. I highly recommend Arizona Urban Arborist. This job would have cost $3,000 by other Arborists & Tree company, but I paid way less for a well done job by his team. You will NOT be disappointed with this company. I look forward to working with Burt and his team to get new trees and how to care for them.

I have two mature trees, a mesquite and a tipu. Anthony and his crew from Arizona Urban Arborists have done wonderful work on them the last few years! Anthony has always taken his time answering any questions I've had before, during and after their work is completed. They are very thoughtful, always checking in with me during the work to make sure I am happy with how it is going. They do a great job cleaning up after. My trees are healthy, and my family has been very happy with their care. I highly recommend them as your "go-to" arborist in the east valley. Anthony provided a Free consultation when
my 2nd set of 15 ficus trees were dying. He provided an excellent assessment and SAVED my trees! I had 3 different arborist companies respond with assessments. Anthony’s was the only honest one and he didn’t try to upsell me on unnecessary treatments. I am grateful for all his knowledge and honesty. I can’t recommend his services enough!
