Was refused to even get a quote. Called to get an estimate, only to get a call back of refusing to help with my project. No explanation other than that they would not do our project, which was a small project.

This is the third time we’ve used Blooming desert. They’re extremely professional, and worked together with a client to create a vision that makes the most of your outdoor space.

I do electrical work beside blooming desert & they do OUTSTANDING work..

However a young man with braces was extremely disrespectful & threatening to me for parking behind him at the boulders in North Scottsdale. Didn't appreciate it in front of my children.

Stay away. I cannot stand being ghosted by companies after investing so much time in the pre-project/bidding phase. I’m glad I didn’t sign any contracts with them and found another contractor. Additionally, they are working on my neighbors house and they park anywhere and everywhere and make it impossible for vehicles to make it by. None of their guys can drive or clean up a work site. Sad.

Unfortunately we used this company about 11 years ago and at the time I was not impressed with the amount of Yucca plants that were planted in our yard. The yard was all yucca and after a couple of years they all died or needed to be ripped out. Now fast forward to 2019 and we have two sissoo trees that are ripping up our pavers and now need to be removed for around $2000. When you hire a landscaping company, you are hiring them for their expertise on design for your yard. Planting sissoo trees in a cookie cutter neighborhood is downright wrong. These trees are fast growing and cause a lot of problems for the homes surrounding them. Hopefully now, this company is not recommending them. Too late for me though.

Blooming Dersert did our back yard in May 2013. They put in all the plants, trees, pavers for a walkway from front yard to the back yard, a water fountain, a firepit, grass with sprinkler sysrem, ambient lighting, and flagstone around the back patio, firepit, and fountain. Every person we worked with was professional, knowledable of their job, and respectful toward us as customers and our desires for what we wanted our yard to look like. They have followed up twice since then on warrented items without any complaining and fixed in a timely manner. We absolutely love and enjoy our yard due to the great job they did. This company truly deseves all the fantastic reviews that we have read online about them. - Dan and Darla Mahe

Jay and his team including Kent and Joe and the other hard working young men have done an outstanding job on our 3/4 acre lot. They have installed a watering system, accent lighting, mounding, boulders, plants trees, artificial turf and paths. It looks lovely! I am so happy I chose Blooming Desert to put in my landscaping. In less then a week they have transformed this piece of desert wasteland into a beautiful desert oasis. I couldn't be happier!

I wanted a more green, organic backyard than the traditional desert motif. I could not be happier. J was my sales person/designer and Mike and Aldo were the supers the day of installation. Great crew. They had my landscaping done in two days (6 hours the first day, and 2 the next.) Highly recommend. Thank you.

Blooming Desert designed and built both our back yard and our front yard. We could not be more thrilled with the outcome! They are definitely a five star company. Brian creates wonderful designs that stand out above all others and brings a sense of harmony to your outdoor space. The crews are very professional, extremely hard working and excellent installers and when they leave, the yard and street are spotless. The foreman keeps you informed and involved every step of the way. Because they are so thorough in the pre-planning, you know exactly what you are getting and they deliver! EXCELLENT LANDSCAPING COMPANY!

I used Blooming Desert to design and construct my front and back yard landscaping. The design included a pool, hardscape features, artificial turf and a putting green. I thought the design prepared by the Company was good and I thought they did a great job through the build process (e.g., informative, timely, etc.).

However, we have had repeated issues with the putting green. The design of the yard does not appear to have adequate/appropriate drainage as rainwater significantly accumulates on the putting green, which is at a comparatively low point in the design of the yard. The putting green has developed sinkholes three times. In each case, the sinkholes appeared after rain.

After the first rain, when we first discovered a sinkhole on the putting green, Blooming Desert coordinated their artificial grass subcontractor to fix the issue at no cost. They "repaired" the issue the first time by repacking dirt under the grass. The next time it rained - same exact issue. The turf company returned to the property and claimed that the issue was being caused by "pests" burrowing under the green. They repacked the dirt again, but, after they left, I inspected the work and it was not entirely fixed/flat after the claimed to fix the issue. It rained the next night and the sinkhole was back again. That's some MIGHTY pests if they fixed the issue like they claimed... Additionally, I have a pest company on property monthly and none of my neighbors have any issues with burrowing animals that Blooming Desert's subcontractor claims is the cause of the issue.

Blooming Desert has now relied on the information from their subcontractor saying the will not "fix" the issue again at no cost. Their position is unchanged after multiple issues relaying my perspective.

I spent well over $100K on the yard and the fix is basically labor (unless fixing the broader drainage issue has more cost). What good is a putting green that has sinkholes??? This is very disappointing after what was otherwise a positive experience.

Three years ago, Blooming Desert was hired to complete a $60,000 landscape renovation on the home we purchased. See Paul Anders review below. He had a similar experience.
The masonry is falling apart everywhere around the entire house where they installed, they covered the sewer clean outs in the front yard with tile, this was one thing they did fix bc it was a code violation.
They did not apply drip lines to some of the plants around the yard, and didn't run drip line through the pvc to get to potted our plants, which sit on top of columns, they and are now leaking all over the place, but from the inside, so now the columns need to be redone as well because mineral build up and dripping water is ruining them. Since there is no pvc we can’t run a new line. There is poorly installed lighting which is now falling apart, including barbecue light etc. When we called them they said everything was out of warranty and they refused make things right.
Do not use this company, you run the risk of being taken financially and having shoddy work done. Maybe they have different teams that do better work, but whoever worked on this yard gets a failing grade. They should take care of the problems that they created especially for a renovation that cost $60,000. When we asked the sellers about their experience they said they were very disappointed and have discouraged others from using them.

We wanted to take time to write a review of Blooming Desert and share our experience with their pool and landscape divisions. After much thought and hesitation we decided we wanted to totally change our back yard. We decided we wanted a pool with attached spa, but more importantly we wanted a total back yard redesign that would provide us with a resort style experience in our own back yard.

After getting several bids it became clear that there were very few pool builders that had the expertise in landscape to provide a complete package. We wanted someone to help us with a comprehensive design that specified plants, decking, pool and spa all laid out in a unique design.

Our first experience with Blooming Desert was with Matt Manning our designer and landscape architect. We can’t say enough about how great Matt was. He came to our home and really listened to what we wanted. He took exact measurements so his design would be specific and accurate. When we met with Matt to see his presentation we were so pleased and excited with what Matt had designed. Matt had provided exactly what we had in mind, but didn’t know how to bring to life. With very few tweaks we were on board for the construction phase of our project. We have to say that Matt was always there for us and we could rely on him to help at every turn. Even when things were not specifically his responsibility Matt was there. Without his help we would not have had as positive an experience.

Moving into the construction phase we were amazed at how quickly the men from the pool division started making the major modifications to our yard. There was so much demolition to be done; the removal of a large cement patio, the removal of 3 large trees, the removal of several large landscape mounds and crushed granite, and a general revealing of the grade of the yard to provide proper drainage. The team of Salvator and Elijah did an amazing job and were so nice and easy to work with. They corrected some old work done by others and made sure everything was ready for the pool excavation.

Before excavation Pete Renslow and Dan Tryon our pool project managers made sure the pool layout was accurate and to our liking. We are so appreciative to both of them for all they did during the pool construction. We were able to make a small adjustment to the curve of one of the pool walls and they were always there during the process to answer all our questions. Our many thanks go to Pete and Dan.

Blooming Desert does have an interesting business model in which two divisions; pool, and landscape need to coordinate closely for the final product a new back yard. We did find that communication between the divisions could improve, yet even with a few hiccups along the way the final project was great.

We want to thank Joe Marks and his team from the landscape division that finalized much of what ended up making our backyard a true paradise. The landscape men had an amazing amount of work to do. They completed all the decking, fire pit, pool wall, plantings, irrigation and landscape rock in an unbelievable short time. It couldn’t have been done without Felix the foreman of the construction crew. Without Felix the attention to detail and the final touches that made everything work would have never been done. We are very particular and Felix was always patient and kind making sure everything was done to our satisfaction. We can’t say enough about how helpful he was.

With any construction project of this size there are bound to be issues along the way. This was true with our project, but the thing that was always true was that the people at Blooming Desert always had our back. They are extremely interested in making sure you will be happy. Even after the project is complete they are involved in helping you learn how to maintain your pool. Brian follows up with you for weeks after making sure you know as much as you can about your pool system.

Once again our thanks to all the people at Blooming Desert that made our back yard a success.

Our experience with Blooming Desert was great! We met with Joshua our sales representative, who (with my husband Kent) designed our backyard just the way we wanted it. Joshua listened to my husband's ideas and incorporated them into the deign. Joshua was great in helping pick out plants that would suit our yard and look great with the travertine.

They started the Monday before Thanksgiving last year, and if it was not for the Holiday would have been done in three to one days. I asked for a different placement of a few plants and they did it with no problem during the project. The workers were very respectful, and Brian who was the foreman on the job was great to work with. We had a pre-start meeting with both the sales representative and the foreman, they addressed all of our questions and accommodated our field changes.

They did exactly what they said they were going to do and when they said they were going to do it. The quality of work was exceptional. I would recommend them.

We recently purchased a new house that had no landscape. We had particular ideas about some of the elements we wanted to see incorporated into our front and back yard. Trying to keep low water usage without it looking like every other yard in AZ. Josh from Blooming Desert gave suggestions and backed each up with 'the why', while keeping aesthetics and our budget in mind. He designed it and presented us with a 3D rendering for a virtual walk of our property with the new landscape.

Mike, George and the crew that worked on-site were extremely professional. They worked hard each day they were here. Whenever I spoke with them they were very polite and explained exactly what they were doing. They made every effort to clean up the site at the end of each day. Mike kept in constant contact, reporting progress and answering questions. We struggled with delays due to bad weather but they didn't leave us hanging, they were back on site as soon as it dried up.

We definitely recommend Blooming Desert and plan to use them to build our next project, a swimming pool!

We talked with Blooming Desert several months ago for a backyard/front yard project. They are doing several homes in our neighborhood and thought it would be an easy process. Designer visited us at property and was friendly in communicating what we like and disliked for an outdoor living space. We provided several photos and mock up drawing of what we liked for a backyard pool space.

We were told we would have a 1st draft drawing finished in a month and to meet at their office. His initial estimates for the project were very high. $300K+ for simple pool project. We still wanted to see what he would come up with in a month. A month went by and we didn’t hear back. We sent several emails over the next few weeks and still… nothing…. Ghosted!!

Luckily we did not waited for them and had already been talking and eventually signed with another company that has much better communication skills. Oh, and the price is a fractions of cost of what Blooming Desert guessed it would cost. We are thinking Blooming Desert ghosted us because they didn’t like that we already had a mock up plan of what we liked for our outdoor space, voiding them of their design fee and cookie cutter design that they’ve chose for our neighborhood.

We can honestly say that our expectations were surpassed in every phase of the project including all the work the design, pool construction, landscape and service teams endured in the middle of the summer. It is very clear to us that blooming desert puts customer satisfaction as their highest priority.

I have heard horror stories about pool construction by other companies in Phoenix. In our case, Jay made sure our design was exactly what we wanted and Roy made sure the pool construction was done on time and with no issues.

We were also very happy with the work the landscape team did under Vince. They worked very hard to accommodate our requests every single day under 115 degree heat!

Finally, when we found tiny details that we wanted fixed, Bill's service team worked on these details immediately until we were 100% happy. It has been 3 months and the service team still responds immediately to any questions we may have.

We cannot tell you enough how happy and impressed we are with the overall experience and the end result. We are enjoying our new backyard thoroughly and our visitors always tell us our backyard looks like it came out of a magazine.

I was delighted with Blooming Desert's work when they put in our front and back yard for our new house!
We worked with J, who designed the landscape after talking with us to understand our needs and what we liked. He handled everything with understanding and professionalism from start to finish, and his design ended up looking even better, once put in, than it looked on paper! That is a sure sign of someone with a lot of experience in knowing what will and won't look good!
BD did a great job, not only installing our yard when they promised and in the time-frame they promised (which was quick), but they supported us in every way, answering questions, coming out immediately when needed.
In the end, we have a yard we're extremely happy with at a good value and obvious quality. Thanks for making this a great experience, J and BD team!

I had a few different companies out to give me quotes for my backyard and pool. One severely over quoted me and the other never got back to me with a quote. I had the best experience with Blooming Desert. From speaking with Carlos on the phone in June of 2020, to meeting in person to discuss ideas in July, and then having a virtual meeting to go over the architectural design and make adjustments in August it was all fantastic. Carlos told me they were booking at the end of January and I signed my contract and paid my deposit. He was in touch periodically when necessary and my project actually started about a week early. Kenneth’s team was there at 7am on a Monday morning where it rained and snowed (yes, in Scottsdale) that day. Kenneth went door to door to let my neighbors know about my project and to give his card if anyone had any questions or concerns. My neighbors said I had the best people at my house when they’d see them coming and going. Crews were at my house at 7am daily, and often until 5:30, until my project was complete. My landscaping was all done within a week! Kenneth’s team is awesome and everyone really cares that things are done properly so there are no drainage issues. Kenneth has excellent communication as well and he was gone a couple days and had Luke overseeing my project. Kenneth introduced me to Luke and he was great as well. My pool took a bit due to some custom tile I wanted that was on back order and of course shipped from Texas during their blizzards. Dan managed my pool project and he was also an excellent communicator and kept me informed every step of the way. He even came right out at 7am the morning after I had a question I texted him about my pool once it was filled. I had great interactions with Donna who does the billing and Geo in the service department as well as I’ve had my 30 and 60 day checkups on my yard. Everyone has been great and you definitely get what you pay for. I’d say this is my first project I’ve ever done where I didn’t feel like I was the one managing it. It was great. My backyard looks like a postcard! Thanks again to you all!

I cannot thank Blooming Desert for my beautiful oasis! From the original design from Lindy last year to additions this year, I am blown away by the detail, products, teams, etc. Hugo's team is phenomenal and the hardest working employees in the hot sun! Vincent was such a great source for any questions I had and such a leader, always smiling! Kenny was the best project manager and again, always had a smile willing to make any changes that I asked. Nothing was a "no" from the team. They made sure to always make things work without a worry to me. They were always neat on the job and never left the end of the day with a mess. Lindy, the "boss"! We love Lindy and you cannot go wrong with her designs and great eye for detail. Thank you Blooming - You all are special people and I am so proud of my yard!
