DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR HOMEBUYER WARRANTEE ISSUES.
When the tecnition came out he claimed the AC unit wasn't working because of maintenance issues and wanted to buy a new unit, $5 - 7k. I asked they completely check out the unit and let me know if anything would be covered by the warrantee. He said he would once the unit had defrosted. 2 1/2 days an 4 calls, 1 text message later in 103 outside and 93 inside, I called another vendor to fix it. On the very next day Degree called and said they would try to contact the warrantee company to see what they would do. I told them I got the unit fixed. The voltage regulator had to be replaced and the P-Trap and pvc pipe repaired and replaced, neither of which is a maintenance issue. They just wanted the money to replace the unit. -
They were assigned by First American Home Warranty. I called them this this past Monday to set up an appointment and the person I spoke with, I believe his name is Mark, said that he was not in the office and couldn't see any of the incoming work orders. So I asked if there was an office number that I should call instead to set up the appointment to which he replied "No, I am the office." He told me that he would call me back when he got into the office. I received a voicemail from him Tuesday afternoon and called back as soon as I was able, which was around 6pm that afternoon, and I left a voicemail with him. He called me this morning, Wednesday, around 7:45am to set up a time to come out and look at the air conditioner. He said that a tech would be out between 8am and noon. He told me that they would call when they were on their way. So I said ok and took the time off so I could be home when the tech came. Well noon came and went and I never heard anything from the tech, not even a call to say that they were running behind. So I called to check and see what was going on. The same person who I have been speaking to, Mark, answered and said that he would end up being the one to come out sometime this afternoon. I asked if there was a time estimate so that I could make sure that everything would be in order on my end (i.e picking kids up and making sure someone is home when they get here). He told me that he would be out here possibly around 4pm. So I said "Ok, 4pm?". To which his reply was, "First you need to calm down. I told you that someone would be out there to take care of work but you keep calling us and bothering us. If you keep bothering us then I will just reassign your work order to a different contractor. We have work to do and when you keep calling you are bothering us." and then he hung up on me. I don't think I have ever been yelled at over the phone for simply following up with a contractor when they didn't arrive in the time window they provided. I called the one time this afternoon to follow up as no one came during the time they said they would come. I immediately called the home warranty company and had them reassign the work order to another contractor. This company has horrible customer service and has no problem treating you like garbage. I would stay as far away from them as you can.
*Edit- I have since spoken to the owner of this business who has just as poor customer service as his technician. When I called to express my dissatisfaction he proceeded to tell me that he was taking his technicians side and how my generation is impatient (of course not knowing my age but assuming) and that if people can't handle the heat then they should not live in Arizona. Unbelievable. -
Poor customer service.. had and ac unit replaced last year through home warranty.. the technicians did damage to my house.. never came back to fix it. And also unit was sold with out a hail guard and I wasn't giving an option to even purchase one ... didn't know that until this year when our first monsoon storm hit and noticed coils were damaged .. just called bob to find out my options and he said it's not his problem .. not eve a help to resolve the problem ... poor service

This company called me this morning and I called them right back because I don't live in AZ anymore. I told them to remove my number and that I don't live there plus my son owns a HVAC. Well "KYLE" then rang my phone 6 more times. I was in a meeting and had to leave the room and literally told him NOT TO CALL MY PHONE ONE MORE TIME. He then proceeded to call me a "Biotch". Not very professional. I blocked them and then they turned around and rang my number from other phone and left messages from Ryan and Bob. These people are rude, unprofessional and downright nasty. My number is on the DO NOT CALL list and I am now filing a complaint.

Had another AC company out to fix my unit since these guys wouldn't answer the phone. Good thing too because I found out they actually turned the speed control down to low after writing on the last service paperwork that they had turned it up to high. Now why would Ryan blatantly lie about that? I probably didn't need to have a valve replaced either. Untrustworthy.

I had to use this company because of my warranty. It took them 2 days to initially come out to look at my AC. The technician replaced a part but didn't stay to make sure the unit was working again, and it never fixed the issue. Then took another 2 days to come back out and look at the unit.. maybe more if they no-show like the last 2 times. Going on 4 days with no air and it's 115 degrees outside. Other companies in the area offer same day repair service. I'll be canceling my warranty because of my experience with this claim/contractor.

This was my conversation with Bob after arriving to my home for Warranty work on a 4 year old Rheem system. FYI, It cost me over 6k for the new/replacement unit (Installed by Degree), connected to the Warranty work. The warranty repair/ was a $40 Capacitor replacement part.
When Degree (Bob & Ryan) arrived to my home on a 114 outside temp, (inside my home 93)., i directed them to the AC unit. Moments later Bob asked me how does $750 sound?¿ I replied not good at all especially for warranty work on a 4 year old system you just installed. His response was, letbme talk to my partner and follow up. Okay was my reply and followed immediately.
After their conversation, it went to, how does $360 sound was Bob's demand... we came on a service call so you are paying for that while removing the warranty replacement agreement out without fail.
I paid the $360 for the sake of restoring my AC service while they are exempting the warranty agreement while over charging for warranted and protected fees from consumers.
I do not rwcommend this company. Please stay with connected LEGITIMATE AC Heating companies with well deserved reputations.
