Victor's Landscaping has been wonderful on my artificial grass project. The pricing beat all my other quotes and their team has been professional, courteous and has kept me informed throughout the project! Victor came out the day after I requested a quote which was very impressive. I highly recommend them for any landscaping needs.

I am giving two stars because unfortunately, I have more complaints than praise for my experience with them. I used their services recently and will start with the good. The team of three men they sent to work on my yard were fantastic. They were friendly, efficient, and communicative. How these men could smile and be friendly while working in the hot summer sun is beyond me. I appreciated them.

On to my gripes. The office is a hot mess. I called and gave them my info to schedule an appointment, only to have to call them back five days later to say I still need an appointment (someone was supposed to reach out to me to schedule my appointment and never did). So, the second time I once again had to go through giving my information because they didn't have it. It was like I never made the first phone call, which irritated me because having my yard cleaned up was time sensitive.

They tell me someone will be out to assess my property and provide an estimate. I wait all morning well into the afternoon. I receive an email with the estimate later that evening, which irritated me. Here's why: Apparently someone came by but didn't bother to ring my doorbell. I wanted to show the person specific areas to make sure my needs were clear and there were no surprise charges. I wasted my day sitting around waiting for someone to come when in fact, they did but didn't bother to let me know. So inconsiderate.

Speaking of surprise charges, if you hire them, expect to possibly pay an additional $100 beyond what you thought you would pay. During my phone conversation with the office I was explicit in what my needs were and specifically asked what I would be charged for. At no point was it mentioned that there would be additional fees for services I didn't ask for. Yes, looking back it was vaguely mentioned in the contract as "fees MAY apply" (not WILL apply), however they just as easily could have placed it in the actually bid clearly. Or perhaps if I had a chance to speak to the person that came and assessed my property in ghostly fashion, this would've been covered in the conversation. I felt the way thet went about this extra charge was shady, therefore losing my trust. I paid it, but with resent as I felt trapped by what I think is slithery business practice.

So much of this could have been avoided if this company had better communication skills.

As far as my yard, I am pleased by what the men did. They were smart with the time I paid for and brought my property to a place where I can actually breathe. Thank you, labor Team!

As for the people working behind the scenes, I just can't.

I can only say this is a disingenuous company. I asked for a quote and they sent someone out. I explained what I needed done and they provided a price. I agreed to the price and paid 1/2 upfront as they requested. The day they arrived my wife explained to the foreman how she wanted certain plants trimmed which was no different that my explanation provided to their estimator. 10 minutes later I received a call from their office saying that now my property was determined to be a clean-up and cost $120/hr.. I asked why? The girl said because of what my wife described. When pushed to explain in detail the girl could not. I expressed this is not what we agreed to and they packed up and left at my request. The owner called and explained I changed the scope (oh sorry that I asked to have one small bush removed and 1 out of 4 ficus nitida's needed slightly more trimming) even though 1/2 of my bushes did not need trimming nor the trees since I have another company manage them. I do understand that additional work may be an additional cost but the foreman should have mentioned that up front , even if he had to confirm with his office (the owner disagreed and said that was not his job). So, by the time I was on the phone with their office, the plant was already out. At the end of the day, a difficult company to do business with.

3/15 - From my perspective 1 small bush removal should not constitute a change of scope to a total clean-up. I again reiterate that the foreman prior to removal of the bush should have simply stated "sir, this may be an additional cost, let me check with my office and confirm before I start the work". I explained this to Victor who said that is not the foreman;s job. Perhaps Victor you should change your policy and empower your foreman with the ability to at least advise of a pending additional cost before doing the actual work and then check in with your office. It's pretty obvious Victor that it's your way, and not your customer's and when push comes to shove, the right side is your side, not the customer's.

I highly recommend Victor’s. They have been taking care of my yard for almost a year and it looks better than it ever has. I tried two other companies before them and although they were a little less expensive, the outcome was mediocre. Victor’s is very communicative and pays attention so if there is a problem with say the sprinklers it gets attention before half my yard is dead. They know how and when to trim what’s in your yard. You won’t have to tell them that yuccas should not be trimmed into globes! Very professional!

The staff is always nice and helpful. The appointment times are always kept and the jobs are done efficiently and correctly. Their prices are very reasonable, even though you pay for the credit card fee. I highly recommend this company and their services, especially if you want a job done correctly and reach them by phone or email for information/help.

We have been working with Victors for at least 2 years. At first, the service was good. But as time dragged on issues kept cropping up, and they didn't seem to really care. The right hand doesn't know what the left is doing at this place. We issued directions for them to please stop running their trimmer against the wall knocking off paint (easy to do), but they continued to do it. Besides the normal stuff of cut cables from trimming (this is simply not paying attention and going too fast), the issues with the Office staff were constant. They would not get back to us. We told them we wanted only our front lawn reseeded (like last year), and they end up doing the whole lawn, and charged us double anyways for their mistake. They changed the controllers to flood the lawn for the reseed to germinate, but never bothered to come back out and change them back after the lawn was germinated and it was obvious - nothing proactive. So, I had to ask them to do it. After two weeks, they still had not done it. I had to ask again. Another week goes by and they guy never shows up. Finally the 4th week they fix it, but put the blame on me (yeah right...). Then, because they never came for 3 weeks, they charged me for lawn mowing (which they didn't do) that they could not do because the lawn was "wet" because of the timer issue, which I had already requested 2 weeks earlier for them to fix. The won't even acknowledge the letter I sent with the 3 emails between me and office staff of the aforementioned battle and requesting they waive the $65.00 lawn mowing charge because of their inability to fix their own makings. I have no idea how to change the timers they installed. They bill themselves as "full-service"...yeah right.

The lawn work is good, but the constant battles with screwups by the office has just made me say enough is enough. I suggest you find another company.

Ghosted me on scheduling service for work that was approved through a quote.
I was told that scheduling was 2 weeks out. I was fine with that, just wanted get it scheduled.
After a week of waiting, my credit card was billed for a deposit, and no scheduling had been agreed appon. So I was expecting 3 weeks out or more? F-that. If they couldnt handle the work load they should have take my money. Canceled all services AND they still charged me a processing fee!!!

Very interesting. If you look up their reviews on Yelp, angie's list, etc. the scores are very low. Here they are moderately high. No fooling. One of the "raters" has the last name of Pope and that is the owner's last name.

This company is all about money. They came up with a "fuel surcharge" when gas was $3.50 a gallon. It is now $2.25 a gallon but the "surcharge" stays. It was $60 on my last bill. Not the entire bill. That's the surcharge only. Sign up with these guys if you want to part with your money fast. They are always trying to sell you services you don't want or need.

Their guys literally don't know how to recognize a weed. I pay a pro to do weed spraying 1-2 times a year, but pop-ups occur throughout the year. They will mow the lawn, weeds and all. They never remove the weed or treat it. They just treat it like the rest of the lawn. You get it removed only if you take photos and send these to them and then are present to remind the guys when they come out. A lot of work for the customer. They supposedly have an inspector but I've never seen the guy and the only time I ever heard from him is when he is selling more services.

I do not want them to touch my irrigation system but they go in there anyway. The last 2 times they left the "Run" switch in the off position. One of these times we had nearly 120 degree heat and my water was off for 2 weeks and I didn't know it because I am the only person who goes in there and I didn't suspect they went in there. This cost me several plants. When I complained to the owner he said I have a bad irrigation system but offered to fix it for $500. No, I don't have a bad irrigation system, I have bad landscapers. I should say former landscapers.

My yard is a joy to come home to! Victor's maintains it beautifully.
This company is responsive, professional, thorough, and extremely
competent. There are people to call if you have a problem. I have
had their service for several years and am very pleased.!

Victor's Landscaping is the "go to" source for all things landscaping. I have used them for the past twenty years and I am constantly amazed at the quality work I always get from Victor's Landscaping. His crews do a wonderful job, and know almost instinctively what needs to be done. I appreciate Victor, his crew, and his office staff, and will continue to use them for all my future landscaping needs. I recently had them trim my two date palms and fan palm, and they did a fantastic job. More importantly, they cleaned up all the debris from it in such a way that you could not tell they were even there.

They do a good job maintaining my plants and yard. I'm away a lot so it would be nice if they communicated a little better about the health of my plants. Came home to two very dead plants with no notification about it. Had to spend a lot of money for them to replace them. Overall prices are a little steep as well. But after calling 20+ landscapers after I moved in to my house, this company was the only one that answerd the phone. Customer service also responds in a timely manner.

Not the cheapest or most expensive- but, Victor was a good salesman(never saw him after the initial meeting), was told a supervisor or owner would stop by almost daily to check on the work and address any issues I would have. Never saw them after I signed the contract. Just over a year, now I'm replacing valves, leaks all over from the drip system they installed, over half the plants have died, I needed at least another ton of rock to cover the yard- for the bag of goods I was sold and the price I paid, would never recommend Victor

I am a new customer and getting used being on a billing method for landscaping. I was late and all these fees and threats for collections for 25 bucks. I reached out and they wont say who they are but the AR email RUDE RUDE RUDE, I paid the 25 and said you lost a customer and they don't care and was RUDE RUDE RUDE again. I wish I knew the name as I have never had such back customer service for 25 bucks. Nickel and time ya will all the fees. gas fee, dump fee etc etc.

The work they performed at my property was great. They came and were timely and professional. They cut and trimmed my tall Palm trees and the Mulberry tree also. The price for the service was fair and the trees look great. I plan on using them again and will continue to do so. They are a company that will work together in partnership with you to meet your needs.

Victor's crew did some grading on my lot to facilitate better drainage away from my foundation. Plus removed 2 rally large bushes. All work was done in a timely manner once it was scheduled. The crew were very nice and did a great job cleanup job of the area at the end of the job. Definitely would hire Victor again.

This company was terribly unprofessional. They managed to run over gravel with their equipment, spitting rocks everywhere, they damaged the paint on the side of my house, and left the back gate open, allowing my dog the opportunity to escape! She could have been hit by a car! Shutting the gate upon completion is landscaping 101.
My husband has been in contact with them via email for several days now and all their “resolutions” have been questionable at best. It’s as if they’re doing the bare minimum to pacify us so that they can keep the $400 they charged without having to actually correct issues appropriately.
I wouldn’t trust them to manage my lawn with child scissors at this point.

I couldn't be happier with their great professional and curious service.they really go that extra mile to provide the best customer service possible. And better than that, they are extremely reliable. And if and when ever something comes up to make them unable to come on your scheduled maintenance service day, which very rarely happens, they call you to let you either know they will be a little late or just cannot make it to your home that day. I truly love the scheduled maintenance service. You always know when they are coming and you never feel in the least bit concerned about the quality of their service. They truly give their customers the VIP service. Really give them a try, you will not regret it. Before finding Victor's Landscaping, I went through numerous landscaper's. I could never count on them to do the job well or even what I asked them to do. I was at my wit's end with it all. They would tell me they would be at my house on certain days and never show or call it was so frustrating, wasting numerous days and no one even called to let me know that they wouldn't make it that day. We have been very pleased with the service we have received from Victor’s Landscaping for the several years that we have engaged them. We have had both our front and backyards relandscaped with Desert formats, and I receive positive comments on our front yard very often. They are also very responsive with both queries and request for service. A big shout out to Victor’s!

I had two no call, no show. What a way to run a business! I would definitely not recommend Victor's Landscaping.

I have known Victor for many years when he first worked under the supervision of my son when he was in charge of a large apartment complex and currently does our lawn and has been doing it for many years. He does it all, anything that is wrong with the sprinkler, etc. He always does a great job. He is always pleasant and easy to talk to and his sons who work with him are always wonderful and work well with their father and is so pleasant and wonderful to talk to as well. They also doing my son's lawn twice a week.
I am happy to write this review for Victor because he is truly a hard working and pleasant person and will do a good job for you as well.
