Very well oiled machine they have going on there. From the beginning the salesperson David was very helpful and educational. He was not pushy and merely wanted to show the value of the company. They were not the cheapest quote I got but provided the best quality of hardware and installation. Anything cheaper would have meant lower quality parts or missing pieces of work. Their team was very fast and the installation was clean. They are authorized installers of Panasonic and Enphase which was important to me since that was the hardware combo I wanted to go with. Communication was very well every step of the way. I don't think anyone in Phoenix could do the work any better. I will highly recommend them to anyone looking for solar in the Phoenix area! Just reach out to them and they'll be able to explain to you why they're the best.

After noticing my solar input being cut in half, I attempted to reach out to the original installer from 2 years ago only to find they're out of business. So, I google a company near me with good reviews. The reviews don't lie, within 30 min Black Platinum was able to access my system and diagnose it was probably a connector or breaker and would be a quick fix. Sure enough, after 15 minutes on my roof everything was back up and producing.

Had the pleasure of working with Darien at Black Platinum Solar. He’s very engaging, informative and detail oriented. I’ve been struggling to find a great solar maintenance company and find Darien was wonderful. I’ll recommend his services to all family and friends

I used Black Platinum to install my Lectron V-Pro WiFi app EV charger. They were great! Jose and Brian(sp?) spent a lot of time to do it right. My first charger didn’t work. They worked with the company to attempt to get it functioning . It turned out to be a defective unit. When the replacement arrived they came back and made sure it worked. I was very impressed with their work and how friendly they were. I have them in my contact for any future electrical work.

We first met Black Platinum Solar & Electric back in 2009. They installed our Photovoltaic Solar System in 2010, then did an expansion in 2013 and inverters upgrade in 2018. We are so thankful that we chose them. Excellent company to deal with in every way!

Black Platinum Solar was recommended by a friend and they did not disappoint. When the system install was completed, the APS inspector told me upon completion of his inspection that this was the first time he had ever seen a solar install that he didn't have to make any adjustments to. That said it all...I knew I had made the right choice. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Black platinum installed our solar system way back in 2009. They have been a fabulous company. They do exactly what they say will do, when they say they will and for the price they quoted. When I need service or an upgrade I trust their advice and my system produces what they say it will.
First class outfit.

What a great company. Our install was a bit unique since it sat on top of unique shipping container home. I built a tilted steel structure above my flat roof for Black Platinum to attach their panels. Our roof is 16" of polystyrene and foam and I wanted no penetrations thru the foam.
The panels were installed on the substructure and nothing of the install touched the foam. There were no accidental penetrations made.
APS and the county gave approval and my system was turned on December 30th of 2022.
We've had zero issues and the first full year our settle up with APS was $0.07 which we promptly paid!
With this year's heat we're heading towards an APS bill of an estimated $50.
We're still pleased and two of our friends have used Black Platinum for their installation.
With the heat and APS rate increases I'm contemplating adding 3-4 additional panels.

We've had our system for about 3 years now. In that time, we had one issue with a panel. They came out within a week to test the panel. They discovered the panel itself had an issue and replaced it next day. Sometimes my system will stop communicating to the app, not a system issue, my wifi gets wonky at times. If I don't reset it in 48 hours, I get a little reminder from them. Our system is good, the pricing was fair, but really, the service and education is why we went with them. Very satisfied customer. Black Platinum Solar & Electric installed an EV Charger. Jose was great throughout the entire process. The estimate process was simple and Black Platinum installed it for what they said they would. Communication throughout was excellent. The work done was very professional, Jose explained the process in detail, and went above and beyond during installation. I wanted a local company that had been in business for a while to weed out all the pop-up solar companies that close down after a year or so to not honor their warranties and I found Black Platinum Solar. They are a great family owned company that did an amazing job installing our solar system. Black Platinum did a great job for me!! They upgraded and extended my existing solor system by adding batteries, controllers, load-shedding boxes and other features to my existing solar panel. They did a great job of understanding what I had already installed and (IMPORTANT) they fixed some things from the original installation which only partially worked. I am VERY HAPPY with their work.

I have purchased 3 systems from Black Platinum. They under promise and over deliver! Great team. My most recent was a battery system. I have moved my APS account to 4-7 with demand. Black Platinum originally installed a 22-panel Enphase system in Oct 2019 and recently added panels to expand in Oct 2024. They are the most knowledgeable, professional, cost efficient and reliable solar company in the valley. We haven't had a single problem with our system and the love the quality of their work. Black Platinum Solar & Electric did an outstanding job installing Enphase solar and battery system. It was a distinct advantage that they are certified both for electrical contracting and solar installation, so there was no need to have subcontractors for the entire project. They upgraded our electrical system from 200 to 400 Amp service and replaced all of our breaker boxes which were necessary to install the solar and battery system that we specified. Black Platinum was not satisfied until everything was working perfectly. We are very happy with the performance of the system and our ability to go off grid entirely when needed without any interruption of any appliance in our house including our air conditioning heat pumps. I highly recommend Black Platinum and Enphase equipment. We evaluated many providers before choosing Black Platinum, and we were glad we did.

It was truly a pleasure to work with the team at Black Platinum Solar. Almost two years ago, they came all the way out to our home in Ajo, AZ (nearly two hours from Phoenix) to install a 6 kW (DC) rooftop system with "daylight backup" functionality (ability to "island" during outages using solar power and no batteries). The system continues to function well.

Regarding the "daylight backup" capability, my only (minor) disappointment is that, to effectively back up our circuits during the all-too-common outages that we experience out here, the Enphase system seems to need constant Internet connectivity. That's mostly okay, but during longer outages, the local Internet and cellular networks go down and/or degrade. The most robust way to solve this would be to use Starlink (that wonderful constellation of Internet satellites operated by SpaceX), a path that we've taken at another property that we own.

That being said, I knew that we were sort of on the "bleeding edge" when I pushed to have that capability installed, and I'm grateful to Black Platinum for the patience and flexibility that they demonstrated in working with me. We ended up with exactly the setup I wanted.

At all times, Black Platinum was very respectful and accommodating. I never, ever felt any pressure, I was spared the usual salesmanship baloney, and I was given a fair deal with great workmanship.

Later, at another property, I got a quote from Black Platinum to install a Tesla charger. Their quote was very competitive and fair. I ended up going with an electrician who did a bunch of other work at the same time. However, if I had to do it over again, I definitely would have hired Black Platinum for the charger. As it turned out, I didn't save any money by going with the other guy, and Black Platinum's process would have been more seamless.

Outstanding service and response! My company performed a full roof replacement and we needed to temporarily detached the solar system. Spoke with Darien at Black Platinum and it was easy as pie getting everything scheduled. They treated our new roof and company with great respect. I highly recommend this company!

Seven years ago, my wife and I had Black Platinum install solar panels on our roof and we couldn't have been more pleased with their work, so when we needed help with an existing EV charger and what we thought would be a necessary upgrade of our electrical panel, we called them again. Jose came out to our house, looked at our existing equipment, and rather amazingly told us that we didn't need to do anything -- that we already had the necessary electrical capacity to charge up our car. What I thought would be a few thousand dollar rewiring job ended up costing us nothing. My wife and I can't thank Jose and Black Platinum enough. They are simply great.

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST! I cannot recommend Black Platinum Solar & Electric highly enough. They go beyond professional and courteous with outstanding customer service and attention to detail. Getting solar panels is a very complex process, but everyone on the team from the founder to the owner on down took the time to explain everything, get it all set up and organized with the utility and the city (permits, inspections, actual installation, etc) and literally took care of all of it. They also went beyond their own interests in encouraging me have my roof checked BEFORE the panel installation (turned out to be a great call!) and also took care of drywall repair around the control box that was installed for the interior wiring (so no ugly outside pipes!). They didn't push or upsell me in anyway, were quick to respond to questions no matter how basic (often answering them before I even had to ask), and I'm reassured about their after-install monitoring system and the phone app that allows both them and me to ensure everything is operating properly. Again, a complex system and a huge investment, so the peace of mind I get with all this extra attention to detail and amazing customer service makes it worth every penny. A shout out and my sincere gratitude to John Sr, John Jr, Darien and Hayley for all their help behind the scenes, and to Dan and his team for the physical installation. I couldn't be happier with all of it!!

It’s easy to give Black Platinum Solar 5 stars! We met with them early in the process of building our new home, and from the start, their approach stood out. As a family-owned business, they focused on educating us rather than just making a sale, which we really appreciated. They provided references, and one of them even invited us to their home to walk us through their system.

The entire process was smooth—from helping us navigate tax incentives to handling everything with the electric company. Their installation was timely and top-notch. Even after the system was up and running, they continued to provide excellent support, responding quickly whenever we had questions over the last 18 months.
