What more can one expect from a family-owned local solar company where expertise is alive along with a quality installation? From the very beginning with David and John along with Damian, we were treated with professionalism! I shared our experience with our neighbor and challenged him to assess our quality installation and compare it with other solar company installations in our neighborhood. This validated his decision! This was a no-brainer as he confidently chose Black Platinum!

I made an appointment to have a second opinion on my solar system. Darien came and even he couldn't work on this system (and old one) he gave me and very honest advised, so I appreciate it very much!! In the future, if I need to change the system, for sure I'll be calling this company!!!!

I have been thrilled with my experience! We interviewed multiple companies before choosing Black Platinum to do our solar as well as some work to our electric panel because I was nervous since you hear about the random solar sales companies that often go out of business or are just sales guys who contract out the work. Black Platinum was not pushy with sales, super helpful in answering my million questions, and never made me feel dumb or like they were annoyed by my asking. That in combination with them being in business for so long made me feel comfortable moving forward. They are easy to get ahold of if needed and super responsive. Timeline/expectations were clearly laid out from the beginning and were lucky that our timeline went on the faster end of the estimated times. I also loved that they do the work themselves, there was never a random contract worker but always someone in a Black Platinum truck. We have only had the system on a couple days but so far we are super happy and my husband is loving all of the analytics in the app.

I couldn’t recommend Black Platinum Solar and Electric enough. Coming from the Midwest, it’s hard to find companies anymore that truly take pride in customer service—but these guys do.

When we bought our home, the solar panels were already installed, so technically they didn’t “owe” us anything. They already had the business. Yet every time an issue came up, John and Darien took the time to walk me through it. They never talked down to me, never made me feel like an idiot, and always went above and beyond to make things right.

They didn’t nickel-and-dime, they didn’t make excuses—they just solved problems. That’s rare.

There are plenty of solar companies out there that feel scammy or careless, both from my experience and that of my friends. Black Platinum is the opposite: grassroots, grounded, and built on real values and principles. If you want a team that actually stands behind their work, this is it.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Black Platinum. We originally spoke to several solar companies. John at Black Platinum was by far the best product and the best install. Pricing was very competitive, and they explained every step of the contract and install. Wiring for the solar is run in the attic and through the walls, so no ugly conduit on the exterior. The crews arrived on time were extremely professional and courteous. John was instrumental in rectifying a few old permit issues with the city, that impacted permitting on the solar. All in all, a GREAT experience.
Update: Our solar system has been running flawlessly for a year now. So happy we decided to go with Black Platinum Solar.

I highly recommend Black Platinum Solar & Electric to anyone considering solar for their home. My experience with the company was exceptional from start to completion. I requested bids from several companies and interactions differed, some great, some not so good. Black Platinum was in the “great” category. They provided a detailed quote, promptly answered all my questions, and appropriately followed up without being annoying (unlike two national companies who called every single day!). After selecting Black Platinum, they helped me find a wonderful roofer when no one was returning my calls. They provided the documentation needed for HOA approval and handled interactions and approvals with APS. Black Platinum let me know what to expect and kept me updated on scheduling. Installation was smooth and efficient with a very professional crew. The solar system is functioning exactly as promised and I was very pleased with the entire process.

Great pricing. Process was quick and made relatively simple. A few hiccups w scheduling and activation but team worked through them and got my system activated on schedule

I had solar at my previous house and was not happy. I shopped around this time and called 4 solar companies. Black Platinum Solar had the best upgraded panels and top quality system which have micro inverters on each panel. Great warranty too! Their pricing was very reasonable compared to the other bids. The app has a lot of information and easy to use. I have not lived through the summer yet with the solar to see the impact on my electric bill. Highly recommend!
