Southwest Electric did a fantastic job installing my solar system on my residence . They were responsive , and got my entire system installed in less than 3 months. I plan on using them again on my rentals.

I had Southwest Electric install solar on my house. They did a main panel upgrade along with my solar. Everyone was easy to work with and professional. I am very happy with the amount of money I am saving monthly on my bill.

sales calls after dark are not acceptable!! Our doorbell rang and someone immediately and urgently pounded on the door. I shouted through the door "who is it?" No reply. I turned on the porch light and saw no one. These are threatening and frightening tactics. I will be reporting Southwest Electric to the Avondale Police Department.

After getting my gun, I cautiously opened the door. Two young women were on the sidewalk heading towards my neighbor's house. When asked, they came up with a story that they are "alerting neighbors about Southwest Electric construction that will be going on tomorrow that will cause noise (even though the work was not actually being done on this street)".

My advice would be to stay as far away from this company as possible. If they do business as rudely as their employees cold-call homeowners, this is not a company to contract.

I worked closely with Alec, Dayne, and Zach and they were so informative. They got me approved right away and ever since I got my panels in June I’ve seen a huge savings on my APS bill every month.

Best solar company out there. Zach has been exceptional to work with. Complete professional; extremely knowledgeable about Solar. If you are considering solar, and not sure how it works, I would highly recommend reaching out to Southwest Eletric and Zach.

Ramon's crew was out to my house in Chandler yesterday to install our Enphase solar and did a great job! They were on time, knowledgeable, and efficient. They wasted no motion, and made no mistakes. I cannot say enough good things about them. Give those guys a raise!

I have contacted them several times asking for assistance due to my high SRP bills. I am still waiting after 2 months for a call back. They were quick to respond before install, but refuse to respond after they got paid. I'm not sure if I have an equipment issue or what the problem is. I totally regret picking them over their competition. If there is an equipment issue or breakdown, I would not know as they ignore my emails and CALLS.
    Edit--
Turns out Southewest Electric only installs and services the solar equipment. True Energy (Quantum) dropped the ball.
Alec with Southwest is working on getting me in contact with them.

Luis Villa is very professional full of knowledge, answered all my questions, very patient person. He made sure I understood everything. The team that come to install the system very proficient, curious, and they cleaned after themselves. I recommend going with SouthWest Electric.

Their employees apparently can't read. Jonathan was extremely rude and disrespectful to my wife. He knocked at our door today, even though we have a "No Soliciting" sign on our door. My wife asked him to leave and he replied "I hope you like wasting money!" If this company's employees are this brazen and unprofessional to the public, I can only imagine how they treat anyone foolish enough to sign a contract with them. Buyer beware!

We recently purchased a solar system from Southwest Electric. We would like to compliment Emily for her outstanding customer service. She has answered the phone each time we tried contacting her. She has been extremely patient and informative. Thank you Emily!!

If you buy from this company make sure you call them directly and discuss what the sales representatives promised you about the unit. Keep thorough documentation.

We were told that our unit would produce enough energy to power our whole house without an APS bill and that we would actually get a $500 refund from APS at the end of the year. This was a lie, we have had an $80-$200 bill each month.

After I called the company to discuss our high APS bills with them they stated that we would have to pay another $10,000 to put extra panels on to cover the energy requirement of the home. Even though they were the ones who told us that the unit they installed would cover the APS bill.

Beware their salesman, they will make promises they don’t keep.

This company provides excellent customer service - there was an unfortunate miscommunication between myself and a different company regarding the installation of solar panels at my property, but Southwest Electric was happy to work with me to fix the issues and to explain the process and answer any/all questions that I had. I’m happy to say Zach is very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable! I would highly recommend this company for any solar contracting work you need done.

In Feb with the install Southwest Electric was good. Now that I have a problem it takes 4 days to call me and you are talking to me about watching football. I need a repair / replacement. I get no response to my calls or emails, and when you do you want to say hey man, what's up? Like I've been calling about a problem to the installation, and I get a guy who wants to play it off, and talk about football. Sir, I want a manager or at least customer service that talks about the $40K of solar panels I had and now need repair. Wow, where is this company's leadership? Please do reach out to me. I filed a BBB Business Complaint as well. Thank you for your time and response.

From the sales rep to the installers to the customer service contact to the owners of the company, Southwest Electric/ Ultra Energy has made every single step of this process as painless as possible for me. As someone who doesn’t know much about solar but was simply looking to reduce my electric costs, they each took the time to explain to me in terms I understand how everything would work, what kind of timeline to expect, and what kinds of changes I’d see in my power expenses moving forward. The installers were professional and courteous while they were on my property, the follow up and attentiveness to any questions I had before, during, and after from the project managers and customer service staff was prompt, and the entire experience was just all around pleasant. I will be recommending Southwest/Ultra to all of my friends and family.

Working with these guys was a great decision. From my first call to the final installation they were there every step of the way. Phil in the office knew what he was talking about and the crew was very professional and polite. You will not regret calling Southwest Electric!

I’m very satisfied with the work they did for my house. I had an old breaker that was done in the 50’s that had to be replaced before the solar panels could be installed. The crew that came out was able to complete it before noon so we could get the A/C back on since it was summer in AZ. Everything passed inspection the first time and looked really nice and organized. They were also very friendly and easy to talk to.

Our Southwest Electric representative, Alec, has been so helpful to us! We’ve had some roofing issues with our home builder and SWE was very supportive. Recently our inverter developed a problem and they quickly replaced it. Thank your entire team for doing such a great job!

Initially (1st year and 1/2) solar panels worked - no issues. This year I noticed a very high electric bill in April which was confusing. In May I checked the app and found that inverter was not working and so no electric was produced. I called my sales guy 5/13 - as he has promised me that panels are monitored remotely and if even one panel was sluggish they would catch it and fix it - well after a week of phone tag the inverter was finally fixed 5/22. I have lost 3 months of production, paid my $210/month payment, and also out of pocket $180/month electric bills. Unless you plan on checking your production every couple of days - I don’t recommend solar panels - they promise you a certain production, but there is really nothing behind it. Even after the call was made - another 9 days w/o production and when I asked them what they planned to do they said “nothing - that is on you.”

The people here are good and professional. Good company. Very helpful and fix problems. BUT DO NOT GET SOLAR. IT so far has been the worst financial decision of my life. I pay $150-300 a month more for electricity than I did before the panel installed. Again, this isn't the company's fault. Solar is just a scam. Half the money is just fees and taxes your panels don't pay for anyway. My neighbor warned me not to, i didn't listen. DON'T DO IT.

Please do business elsewhere. I spent a week calling, being sent to voicemail every time and the emails I sent were not responded to. After almost a month of no information on the project, I decided to cancel the contract. I struggled to do this since voicemails and emails were disregarded by the company. I finally received response from Southwest Electric only after I contacted the loan company directly and asked them to stop the funding for the project. Given the lack of contact, the lack of response, and the general strange way that they'd been about the project I felt I had no choice. Today I received a call demanding that I pay them $1,500 for the project. The project that they didn't complete. They attempt to strong arm you into completing the project but refuse to answer calls, emails, or provide useful updates on the project. Please use another company, their business practices are questionable and looking at the other reviews, I'm sadly not the only one that has experienced this.
