Called to have a basic preventative annual service in preparation for the summer. Was advised they didn't have availability until July. It is March! What is the point of a warranty? If anything we are tying to help by maintaining our unit.

Our new home from Beazer has a HVAC unit from CR HVAC. We have had some cooling problems. A tech named Leon came out and went through the unit top to bottom. He essentially did a start up which apparently was not done properly when the house was built. He corrected the fan speed and put in the additional Freon needed for the system. After checking the air flows and heat transfer across the coils the unit is probably operating more efficiently. Thanks Leon.

I would have given a 5 star rate if the proper start up had been done.

This company is useless for people like you and I. They are only in business to partner with cheap home builders to perform repairs. Aka they have no true reason to show up or do said repairs. Run as fast as you can. Dukes of air is a great company.

My AC went out on Tuesday and today is Saturday with no fix. I am not sure how much longer it will take. Even one day without AC in Arizona is tough but days without it unbearable. I think the delay could be one or both of two things. 1. Mine is warranty work so there is no motivation to get it done quick when they can handle other jobs that pays. 2. They don't have sufficient people on the job. Whatever the case might be not getting the job less than two days is unacceptable and poor. If you are searching for AC work, go to smaller guys who are more hungry for work.

My home builder used a Chas Roberts AC unit. A few months after I moved in the thermostat was not working. Chas Roberts sent a technician, who brought along a trainee. The tech went out to the truck to get a replacement thermostat while the trainee was looking at my air handler when I heard a loud pop. The trainee called the tech over and after a few minutes they closed the door to the air handler, replaced the thermostat and said they were all done. Once they left I took a look at my air handler and found they broke the drain alert off my air handler and didn't bother to fix it or say anything.

Poor welding. Leaking freon in nearly new air conditioning unit. Company records calls so they can gaslight you later with misinformation saying "it's all there in the recording" but they refuse to share the recording (of course).

Be aware they're recording you and if you have any issues whatsoever later, they'll dust off the old recording, extract a key word or two, create a new narrative with their spin that favors their new "reality." However, photos don't lie so take plenty of those too after they gaslight you.

Check out their Yelp reviews, which are abysmal. Here on Google, anyone can create multiple Gmail accounts anonymously.

I purchased my home new in 2018 for $500k from Taylor Morrison. They used Chas Roberts to install my HVAC system. Last year in the middle of July my a/c went out. I was past my 1 year warranty with TM. I have three children under the age of four and live in AZ, so my priority was to get it fixed as quickly as possible. I called Chas Roberts at 7pm and nobody answered, so I called another company who sent a tech out within an hour. He told me there was no freon and i had a leak in my line. He told me he could run some dye through my line to find the leak. He found the leak where chas roberts had welded aluminum tubing to a copper fitting that connects to the AC unit. He told me 9 times out of 10 these this type of welds will fail because you have two different metals that contract and expand at different temperatures when heated and cooled. Basic science.
I called Chas Roberts the next day and the wannabe ghetto tech they sent to my home never made it through my front door. I told him what the other company had told me and as soon as I said he had put dye through my line he yelled that I voided my warranty and i would have to pay for any work he did. With a cocky snotty attitude he continued to basically mock me in front of my wife. I informed their manager they were not allowed to have any of their techs near my propety ever again. I contacted other companies who either had no clue how to do that type of weld or didn't want to risk damaging my system. Luckily I was reccomended to Angel Air who knew exactly how to fix the chas roberts kmart job.
I was told by other companies chas roberts hires guys out of prison to do their work. These guys are a joke trained right off a chain gang. If you call them up to do work on your home make sure you have phone books taped around your waist in case they try and shank you for questioning their amateur work. Maybe thats too harsh, that gives amatuers a bad name. There are hundreds of hvac companies in the Phoenix area, please don't waste a penny of your money on them. If your buying a new home and they are installing the hvac system find another builder. If you have a warranty and that's the only reason your using them, stop! Hire a different company and send the bill to your builder.

I had Chas Roberts air conditioning out a few times and a few hundred dollars later. I waited 3 days for first technician to come out and a capacitor was changed out problem did not fixed my unit was doing the same thing starti g and stopping chattering like the contractor was kicking in and out, technician had left left his phone number I called he answered with I'll call you back no call
Next technician came I explained my problem an other hundred plus dollars oh I found the problem arcing wires I fixed it I asked to let the unit though a few cycles he seem in a hurry to leave said as soon as you leave it will start up again he here's my number call if it happens again 30 min. After he left I called him he said give me a minute and I call you back. NO CALL! So I called the office to have him come back they could not get anyone over to my house again for about 3 days (they said it could sooner if I wanted the window to be between 7pm and midnight customer service WOW). So needless to say dont use this company.

This company has had some of the rudest people to deal with on the phone. This woman even had the nerve to ask if I am aware of Arizona weather and how it works. This woman also stated that capacitors go out all the time. We live in a brand new, 2 year old house, with and A/C unit that they installed and our capacitor has gone out 3 times in two years. My old house never had an issue this often. The house will not get any colder than 75 and if we try the A/C unit breaks. We have had two leaks in one year, and we have had freezing in our addict. We have asked them to contact Goodman for our 10 year warranty on the unit and they said it would cost us 80 dollars just to have someone come to our home so they could call Goodman on our behalf. We asked This company come out and fix our a/c unit one time and they drained fluid out and then left, so we had to have another company come out and fix their mistakes. I have never dealt with a worse company. We asked to speak to someone higher up and the woman said no, no one else is working. We are so very frustrated with this company and the customer service. Not helpful or kind at all.

    Do not use this company!!!!!

While I was installing a new thermostat in my home a had a series of problems with my air conditioner shutting down. Technicians arrived quickly and were very helpful. One checked out my new thermostat and pointed out the installation instruction were wrong. He was right! Following his advice, I reconnected the thermostat and my problems went away. Techs definitely go above and beyond!

I have a newer home but the three thermostats were acting up. Chas informed me they charge $85 for a basic service call. Actually that is just walking to your door, once inside it’s $150. They informed me the labor cost to replace each thermostat was $200. Estimated time to replace each was 15 minutes. $600 for 45 min of work. I passed. Look elsewhere for service.

Our quality of install is atrocious. Wires going into our air handler without domed connectors, air handler is not level at all, they beat my air handler with a sheet metal hammer and put holes in it. My air handler has leaks galore. I already have water spots in my auxiliary drain pan. My ground wire was also not hooked up. I also see oil around the copper at my condenser. Don’t ever use this company if you’re planning on replacing your system. My house isn’t even 3 months old!!!! I will be sending all photos to Lennox on Monday and contacting the ROC. This is an absolute joke.

Within 3 years of having a new AC unit installed by Chas Roberts it has broken twice. Bought an extended warranty to cover parts and labor. Chas came out and has done multiple inspections and everything came back fine. When the AC went out, called to get service after hours and was told they can’t come out for a week! A week in AZ in July! No customer service and absolutely ridiculous turn around time. Knowing what we know now we would never have bought an extended warranty with this company.

Terrible company. Brand new A/C unit in a new build home. My house can’t get below 83 degrees running 24/7 and Chas Roberts says that’s normal and everything is working fine. What a slap to the face.
Their company policy is if the room is 20 degrees below the outside temperature, it is working appropriately. So if it is 115 outside, an ac unit is working well if it is 95 degrees in your home. That is not safe for anyone. Complained to upper management who gave us the same answer.

We bought a new build 1.5 years ago and the a/c stopped working. Our builder told us to contact Chas Robert's. We had to wait three days for a technician and agree to an $85 fee just to have a technician come to our house. The technician said that our unit needed to be pressure checked. Now we were looking at $200 price. Then the technician said that the system was out of freon and although the unit is under warranty, we would have to pay $800 for the freon. The leak was due to a loose fitting at the compressor. The technician told me that this is common and his price went down to $500, then back up to $800 when I questioned him. This is a horrible company; Do not use them!

Friends, I am just like you, new homeowner of a new build, whose a/c unit decided to stop working in the extreme AZ heat of summer. I have 3 kids, pets, and a husband that hibernates at 74 degrees. My unit quit on a Sunday, we called and a technician arrived ontime, explained the problem, said parts were on order, and even attempted (without luck) to get the system back on until the repairs were complete. The house was now over 90 degrees inside, so I checked my family into an overpriced hotel room for two nights, and took time off work for the repairs Monday..... I was wrong. My first call for a status update was overwhelming, the rep explained the parts had to be ordered and no ETA was available... I had no clue what to do next. My bank account wasn't ready for additional hotel expenses and my stress level was on overdrive. Then, with my construction management's support, I reached out to Nadia, explained my situation and she engaged the supervisor Michael. Together, they saved the day. They listened and heard my situation, and then went above and beyond to make our home liveable. It took a couple trys, some outside the box thinking, and the genuine compassion and humanity of some good technicians, to get the job done, but the true value for me, is their role in making it possible to bring my family home. As a homeowner, when something as vital as your a/c breaks, homelessness can feel extremely real and way to close for comfort. Thank you for everything, I am beyond grateful for your help.

I’m giving one star for the company and one star for the manager as well as the first tech tech that came to my residence. There was poor communication, they were not efficient, they did not bring me a cooling unit like they said while my AC was out for 6 days in the middle of July here in AZ. I am however giving Jenna five stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. She came out the 3rd time and went above and beyond. Was extremely professional and did her job thoroughly. She explained the thermostat, corrected mistakes made by the previous tech, and went over future options for me as well. So thank you Jenna for your great service!!

I purchase this home in 10/29/2020 moved into it hasn’t been a year I have had nothing but issue in the winter heating issues now in the summer thermostat issue several techs have been out and replaced the thermostats but i continue to have the same issues. For being a new installation it really sucks on top of calling for a service call it’s crazy.
One representative said October would be the soonest they can come out I requested a supervisor to return my call I was able to get someone out on July 13, 21 but I put in the call in June now my thermostat is not working which I contact the tech that same day to let him know I was still having an issue after he replaced it but I’ll he said there was no way.
Called in customer service the soonest is July 30, 2021.
    Crazy !!!!

Absolute garbage!! We have been in our BRAND NEW home for less than a year. We’ve had to call Chas out 3 times in less than a year. First time, there “wasn’t any coolant”. Second time, “not enough coolant”, third time found a leak which apparently had been there the entire time. MANY people in our neighborhood are having similar issues. It’s a joke. Chas does sub par work and hires amateur technicians. Not acceptable!!

The HVAC tech, Raymond, stopped by our house in San Tan Valley today. He got our routine annual service done on our system but, while completing his job, he decided to go into my Wife’s office knowing the door was closed as she was working and as she had our dog in there. Rather than knock and ensure it was okay to go in to check the air vent in there, he barged in which shocked my wife and scared the dog causing her to bark frantically at him. What if my wife was on a call for work and he created this scene? What if our dog had bit him out of fear all because my wife didn’t have enough time to ensure she was kept away from him? It’s considerate and customer service friendly to ensure it is okay to enter certain areas of a home, not to just barge in like he did. 2nd, the guy had the audacity to tell me I need to watch the dog poop in my backyard (where the HVAC system is located). He said it “smelled horrible” because of the odor from the poop and that technicians won’t come out if there’s too much of it and smells bad, which he claimed it was like that for my place. I have the poop picked up every other week by a professional cleaning company who also deodorizes the backyard to ensure it doesn’t smell, never have an issue with the smell after it’s done. But, because there were a few pieces of poop, and it rained the night before, the smell wasn’t the greatest. He informed me that it’s a “biohazard” and that a lot of Chas Robert’s techs won’t come out and complete the work unless we clean the poop up before they get there. I told him that I’ve never been told this in the 3 years I’ve used their services and his response to that was “it’s common sense bro”. Lol, I’m not stupid bro, I wouldn’t like the smell either but, don’t work in a blue collar field if you can’t handle dirty jobs. If you can’t handle harsh smells, go work elsewhere. A few pieces of poop won’t hurt anyone. And don’t come into my house talking and acting the way you did. I’ll probably be cancelling my services with Chas Robert’s after this interaction.
