Company really does not seem to care to do a quality job. They just show up to collect a pay check. Pretty sure they kill more of the landscaping so they have less work to do.
-

These guys truly care about their customers.

Like a few mentioned before, they do not care about other peoples stuff! they decided it was okay to cut two down trees next to my vehicle without any previous warning. A simple email would be nice that way im not in there way or they are in my way.

I live in the community of Dreaming Summit in Litchfield Park. This company does not know what landscaping is. All they do is take their hedge trimmers and hack everything back. You have no idea what type of plant anything is because they all look like indistinguishable orbs. They do everything the fast and dirty way and it looks terrible. Just walked by another couple of guys with their hedge trimmers out hacking everything back. Plant are supposed to grow naturally and you use your clippers to clip away any dead pieces or branches that are growing too fast.

I’ve had a very positive experience the two years I’ve been working with DBL. They have come in and drastically improved a community that I manage. Everything is blooming great, even in this record breaking heat. Grounds are well maintained. Irrigation is running and the system is being monitored. Staff is professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. I would recommend!

Appearances can be deceiving
I was part of a team that evaluated proposals from ten landscape companies to determine who we would select to take care of our condo community. DBL had a great website, came across as very professional, and their people all seemed nice, but what we experienced was quite different from what was promised!
- Their Director of Business Development (DBD) spent a considerable amount of time walking the property with us, discussing our issues and how we wanted our landscaping handled. He seemed very agreeable to our requests, including to gradually remove overcrowded plantings. I later learned that he did not provide a report or even speak to our Account Manager (AM) about what we had discussed, so it was all just a marketing ploy to get us to sign the contract, and nothing we discussed has been accomplished.
- Their website, proposal, agreement and DBD stated that they would plug all orphan emitters. When our Account Manager (AM) didn’t mention this, I asked him about it. He seemed surprised that we wanted that done, and told me that they only plug the emitters if a customer specifically asks for that to be done. After months of repeated requests from us and excuses from DBL they finally started to plug the orphan emitters, and it still took several more months before what should have been a week or two job was completed.
- Their website, proposal, agreement and DBD stated that they would install weather stations at all our controllers to automatically adjust the watering based on weather conditions, however, month after month they told us they had supplier problems, and nine months into the one year contract, they still haven’t installed any weather stations.
- Their website, proposal, agreement and DBD stated they would keep tree branches trimmed to at least 8’ above sidewalks. They have not done this, even after again agreeing to do it when we brought it up after six months of non-compliance.
- They do Sustainable Landscape Management (SLM), but they apparently think it stands for Skip Landscape Maintenance. Even a natural approach needs some trimming, but they are doing almost no trimming, even when plants are growing into and over other bushes. I personally like a natural approach, but this looks terrible!
UPDATE
After I gave the president of DBL a short tour of some of the worst areas, they trimmed the home where the access to the front door was blocked by a huge overgrown shrub, and also a large area where bushes were growing up into adjacent trees. However three months later they still have not trimmed the overgrown Lantana that have not been trimmed all summer. Residents are now trimming these themselves to correct the worst overgrown areas.
I sent the president a message over two months ago asking about getting the Lantana trimmed, and he never responded to me. He had also agreed to let me know what he discovered about why their care “did not reflect the standard of service they strive to deliver”. He has not done this. He said he was working on fixing things, and to “stay tuned”, but it has been total silence since then.
Worst of all, I am 77 years old and recently experienced a bad fall due to a Red Yucca leaf next to a sidewalk that had been allowed to grow to four feet long. The DBL president has also been tripped by a Red Yucca leaf, yet he had not emphasized to his crews the importance of trimming those leaves. Recently a neighbor who is 79 years old was walking on a sidewalk and was also tripped by one of these leaves and experienced significant injuries, so I trimmed the leaves in that area to keep anyone else from being injured.
I spoke to a friend whose condo community is also using DBL, and he said that like us, they found it took a massive effort to get DBL to do what they had agreed to do, and that they didn’t seem to want to trim anything, but were really good at making excuses about why it hadn’t been done, so I now know it is not just us.
I strongly recommend staying away from DBL Landscaping. -
Fué un placer contratar a Solera landscaping nuestros árboles lucen hermosos, gracias Miguel por tú servicio todo su personal muy atento.

Solera has serviced our property for over a year in Chandler and we have enjoyed the company. They are friendly and respectful when on site (always saying hi to the kids watching) and it’s easy to communicate with the owner. They were able to come up with unique fixes and solutions for some odd yard situations which we appreciate. Their pricing is fair and consistent, and they maintain the sprinkler system which was helpful.

Just today while I was speaking with a City of Tempe neighborhood inspector, he said the yard always looked well taken care of and manicured. Thank you Solera Landscapeing!

Honestly, the best landscapers around! I worked with several others prior to finding Solera and once I found them I never turned back. They have done everything from clean-up, to regular maintenance, and they even brought my grass back to life! They are super reliable, great customer service, and pricing is great.
