HVAC reviews in Albany, California

We were switching our heating system and thought we might need a new chimney liner. After getting quotes from a few places, we decided to call Mr Chimney Cleaning. Jerry came to our home in Albany and carefully inspected the chimney and the liner. He ran a leak test and made sure all parts were connected properly. To our surprise, Jerry told us our current liner was still in great shape and there was no need to replace it. I was really impressed by the honesty—he could have easily sold us something we didn’t need, but he didn’t. This saved us quite a bit of money and gave us real peace of mind. For anyone needing a trustworthy chimney sweep or inspection, I highly recommend using them. I’ll be calling again next time I need chimney service!

I had a wonderful experience with this chimney sweep company in Albany. After another business missed my appointment to replace my chimney cap, I reached out to them. Charles and his team arrived the same afternoon and got the new chimney cap installed in under half an hour. They made sure to clean up after themselves, answered all my questions, and were very friendly. The price was also better than what I was quoted by the previous company. I'm really glad I chose to go with this team for my chimney needs!

fast and efficient service, really friendly staff, and they made sure everything was done properly. jerry came out to check out our fireplace and installed a fan so now it actually warms up our home, not just for looks. charles handled all the scheduling and customer questions, and he was super easy to work with. i would definitely recommend them if you need any chimney or fireplace work done!

i'm really glad i chose a local chimney sweep company to check out the fireplace at our new place in Albany. wayne came right on time, was friendly, and explained what he was doing as he cleaned and inspected the chimney. he was honest about what needed attention and answered all my questions. i definitely recommend them for anyone needing chimney or fireplace services!

If I could give a zero I would. This is a consolidator business and the person they sent to do the work charged 3 times the usual rate for what a chimney cleaning in our area usually costs. When the charge showed up on our card there was an unauthorized tip added of almost $100 !!! The job was messy with black finger prints on our white walls. Even at an hourly wage they collected $700 for a job that took less than an hour - no repairs and only on one chimney. We got taken. We called customer service to complain and got a complete run around. No customer service. DO NOT USE

the team showed up right on time, which really matters to me. when they arrived for the chimney sweep, they were super friendly and took the time to walk me through everything they checked during the inspection. when it was time to do the cleaning, they put down a fresh drop cloth and used a big industrial vacuum, so there wasn’t any mess left behind. after they finished, wayne even showed me how to start a fire in my fireplace since i’d never tried it before. he also pointed out a couple of small issues, explained when i should be concerned, and gave me some affordable suggestions to take care of things for now. overall, it was a really positive experience!

Pedro arrived earlier than expected, which was a pleasant surprise. I had told them to come whenever they had time, so it worked out perfectly. The team was very professional and quickly discovered what was causing my chimney problem. Even though my chimney wasn't being used, they still found and fixed a water leak without any hassle. It was great to see such skilled and reliable service, and I appreciated how quickly they kept me updated throughout the process. I would definitely recommend this chimney sweep service to anyone in Albany looking for honest and efficient help.

I really appreciated how he explained what repairs were needed and gave me helpful details about the condition of my brick fireplace. Overall, I’m very happy with the service and feel more confident about using my fireplace safely in Albany.

we had a great experience with the chimney sweep service! our roof is a bit unusual since it's metal and requires extra care when someone is up there. wayne really knew what he was doing and handled it safely. he checked out the chimney, gave it a thorough cleaning, and even showed us before and after photos so we could see the improvement. we’ll definitely be using this company every year to keep our chimney in top shape.

We needed a new wood stove chimney pipe because the original one wasn’t installed right. We didn’t know about the safety issue until we called for a chimney sweep, and the crew pointed it out to us. They gave us a quote quickly and scheduled the work just a week later, which was great. On installation day, Jerry and Wayne showed up and did an outstanding job. They were professional, friendly, and explained everything clearly. Our house has a high ceiling, which made things tricky, but when they ran into a problem with the ceiling joists, they handled it smoothly without any extra charges or delays. The finished chimney pipe looks perfect, and you can tell they really know what they’re doing. Plus, they left the area even cleaner than when they arrived. If I could, I’d give them 6 stars! Highly recommended for anyone in Albany needing chimney sweep or wood stove services.

I can't thank Pedro and Jerry enough for the wonderful job they did for my family! I highly recommend Mr Chimney Cleaning, not just because of their great work, but also because of how much Pedro cared about our safety. We had purchased a new wood-burning stove kit and needed someone to help with the installation. Most places were booked for a long time, but we ended up finding another installer who told us the old chimney liner—an oval one—was fine to use, even though our new liner was round and wouldn’t fit. We were told not to worry about it, so the new liner just sat unused. When Pedro came by to buy the unused liner, he asked why we hadn’t installed it. I explained everything, and he immediately offered to take a closer look at the stove installation. He quickly found that the job had not been done properly at all. The old liner was very worn out and had dangerous holes in it, which could have easily caused a fire, especially since we had already used the stove for a whole season with our two young children in the house. Instead of just walking away, Pedro offered to finish the installation and do it the right way. Now, thanks to his expertise, our new chimney liner is properly installed, the stove looks amazing, and we can enjoy warm fires with peace of mind. If you want a trustworthy and skilled chimney sweep team, I definitely recommend giving them a call!

This chimney sweep company was a pleasure to work with—very trustworthy and professional. After another large company said I needed to replace both of my steel chimneys, Charles came to inspect them and let me know they were actually in good shape and didn’t need to be replaced. I really appreciate their honesty and integrity. I highly recommend this team for anyone needing chimney cleaning or inspection!

I called because I noticed water dripping down my chimney. I spoke with Wayne, who was very patient and took the time to explain exactly what was causing the issue. Unlike other companies that might quickly say something needs a big repair or replacement, Wayne carefully checked everything and gave me honest advice. If you want a trustworthy chimney sweep company that really cares about their customers, I highly recommend giving them a call.
