Final walk thru of newly installed system went smoothly. This company excelled in every part of the process. My only regret is not replacing the system sooner. This unit is quiet and much more efficient than what I had before. The additional air purifier made a noticeable difference in our home within a short period of running time. The installation crew is the best I've ever dealt with. Communication was A+++.

With 35 years experience Mr Dale Skinner show cased the upmost professionalism, with his knowledge and expertise he was able to diagnose the root cause and explain the proper procedures on how to proceed with with resolving the issue at a low cost. He not only explained the issue but helped but together a game plan to never have future problems. Dale will be the only person I call and refer to anyone in need pluming problems! Great technician to have on the job!

Recently replaced our home's 25+ year old condenser and furnace to an 18 SEER2 heat pump condenser and air handler (with Air Scrubber Plus). Primarily driven by end of useful life on our old system, increasingly hotter summers, utility bills (that's always painful), expected increases in cost (tariff and demand driven), and availability. Glad we pulled the trigger because demand and increasing costs, including new regulations for transitioning to a new, more environmentally-friendly refrigerant (R-454B) very quickly narrowed our preferred choices in a new system. Initially wanted a slim line 4-ton Trane XV19 heat pump but availability was not in our favor. Mark Govender was quite determined and diligent, however, to provide equivalent options while simultaneously reaching out to other dealers that may carry the original system we wanted. Mark was thorough, communicative, and was engaged throughout the whole process. When we finally decided on a 4-ton slim line Carrier HVAC system, Marathon's team took no time to install our new system. The job took 2 days to complete and the work came through seamlessly. Marathon effectively communicated via text the technicians that were going to be on the job, down to a real time tracking of their arrival. We had exceptional service and positive experience with extremely knowledgeable technicians Juan Gomez, Saul Serna, Chris Patten, and Cesar Torres - all of whom were accommodating of our schedule on both days (they worked around their arrival and departure times for our son's school schedule). Absolutely and positively recommend Marathon for HVAC needs! Thank you!

I got a second opinion on a HVAC diagnostic. They responded quickly and took care of my heating issue by refilling R-410A refrigerant fluids. The other company wanted to replace coils and have me spend over $3,000. I'm glad I trusted my instincts on this repair.

November, 2025. The weather has turned to rain and temperatures in the 60’s. My heater did not turned on in the morning. I redid the time scheduler…that didn’t fix it. I called Marathon and got on the next day service schedule. Dale arrived within my time from and immediately set up in front of the heater. Within half an hour the issue was resolved. Thank you Dale. He’s a wealth of HVAC knowledge.

David Lara was our tech with Marathon great interpersonal skills. Went beyond the call of duty to vacuum my vent. My husband Tim usually does the maintenance needs of our home, but had surgery. Great service and explanation not trying to get more money showed me how dirty ducts are. Karley and Saul came in to clean ducts, were careful to keep areas covered, professional and friendly did not mind my small dogs.

I would like to commend our service tech today, Dale from Marathon plumbing and Heating. Dale was extremely attentive, as well as friendly, and professional. Dale also made suggestions that we might consider in the future. The owner of Long Beach Heating and Air recently sold the business to Marathon. My only concern was our previous company(Long Beach Heating and Air) who we had for the last thirty years charged us $25 for a filter last year and was required to pay $68 today for the same filter.

They arrived right on time, were very friendly and approachable, and took the time to answer all of our questions. My technician today was Javier Torres. He did a great job performing the maintenance for the day, but he did not just stop there. He provided a lot of education which is helpful to me to understand the big picture. We also took time to assess the current state of the system all the way to the vents. He provided the various quotes for the services I will slowly be requesting. Great experience

Marathon is very professional. They respond quickly, are respectful of your space, and are thorough. All the workers were nice. We especially were thankful that they didn’t need to cut our attic opening wider to get the furnace in.

Kiki was absolutely great in repairing our furnace. He was pleasant, courteous, extremely thorough, knowledgeable, and explained the issues clearly. Mark, from the office, was very understanding and helpful in explaining the different options. I never felt any pressure in deciding among the different options.

I really appreciate that Marathon sends a picture of the tech that will be arriving at my doorstep in advance of my service call. David L was such a great help today! He checked the output readings on the vents in every room, checked the readings through out the air-conditioning unit. Because of the fires last season and build-up I decided to have a deep cleaning done which should be good for 6-8 years, and changed the air filters that needed it. David even re-programed my nest thermostat which kept lowering the temperature setting in the summer! Thank you David L!

We were recommended to marathon(formerly Long Beach heating and Air) by a family friend when our AC unit just stopped working and they were amazing! They were able to come out the very next day and Whitney found our problem within the first 5 min. He was thorough and found a few other things that might be a cause for more issues in the near future for our 12 year old unit. Excellent, professional service from making the appointment and the service. Johnny was wonderful. I had family staying with me over Thanksgiving and was so worried about the heater not working. They all went to special lengths to make sure it was repaired. It now works like a charm. I highly recommend these people and will use them in the future.
