HVAC reviews in Arcadia, California

We had a solid experience with this company. The salesperson was approachable, familiar with their products, and accommodating. Pricing was competitive against others we compared. Installation was swift, as they came the following day. Overall, we're pleased with how things turned out. Thanks for the work done.

The technicians were very professional and courteous throughout the entire process. They didn't try to push any unnecessary products on us - just asked about our systems and offered suggestions to improve them. When they came out to fix our non-starting furnace, they also took a look at our A/C unit as part of the service, but no hard sell or upsell tactics were used. We actually chose their retainer option over paying for diagnostic visits upfront, which made this troubleshooting visit free for us - and it includes regular checks every six months as well.

Daniel, the Project Manager, and Juan, the Service Technician, were exceptional. As a senior citizen, their patience was greatly appreciated, especially when it came to explaining complex issues with my air conditioning units. Although I initially sought additional estimates, I've since become confident in NextGen's reputation and quality of work, making them an excellent choice for future needs.

Juan Jimenez from Nexgen performed outstanding work on our unit. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional throughout the entire process. The AC unit now operates at a perfect temperature, meeting our needs. What impressed me most was how thoroughly he explained the additional products and services offered by Nexgen without being overly sales-y. This level of transparency is rare in customer service. I'm confident that we've made the right choice with Juan and Nexgen for our ongoing maintenance needs.

I recently hired Nexgen to install a brand new HVAC system during my home renovation. The representative, Jeff Larson, was extremely professional and designed an excellent system that exceeded my expectations. He deserves the highest praise for his work.
Unfortunately, the installation process was marred by a series of mistakes made by the installers. One of the handlers was not properly connected, requiring a hole to be drilled in new drywall to accommodate it. To make matters worse, they left a live electrical line exposed, which I later discovered when an electrician tested it with his meter and found it to be 230 volts.
Despite the initial issues, Nexgen has been reliable in terms of service visits. They send a technician every month to maintain my AC and tankless water heater, a service that costs $180 per year. While this may seem like a good deal, I've come to realize that their business model is primarily focused on selling overpriced services.
One example that stands out was when they tried to charge me $12,000 for installing a mini split. Instead, I purchased the unit myself and installed it with the help of a professional who charged me just $100 to finish the job. This experience has led me to question Nexgen's pricing strategy and their willingness to nickel-and-dime customers.
In fact, every time they send a technician over, they take extensive photos of my AC and replace only one of the eight filters in my house, all while trying to upsell me on additional services that are not needed. This has become increasingly frustrating, leading me to consider paying them directly for service visits instead of relying on their monthly subscription model.
Overall, I'm disappointed with Nexgen's business practices and would caution others against using their services unless absolutely necessary.
