Sun Solar made this entire process painless. They were easy to talk to, highly responsive with question, and I was really impressed that the sales people were knowledgeable enough of the technology to be able to talk tech with me (I am an engineer). I am very glad I went with this company for my solar installation.

Called on 09/30/24 for service on my solar/battery system. Appointment for service is on 10/02/24. Fast and Concise customer service. Looking forward to seeing the technician.

From start to finish this has been an amazing experience. everyone in the office and in the field has been extremely friendly and knowledgeable about their products. My system not only looks great, but its saving me money which is a win win. If you are in the market for solar, look no further than SunPower by Sun Solar. You will not be disappointed.

They drilled holes through my roof and ceiling and thought the proper fix was wood putty on the inside and silicone on the outside TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE The owner said he would show up nd never did, said I misunderstood him ... no I didn't he just didn't show and made up that as an excuse. If I could give them 0 stars I would.

This is my review on this installer so fair on my process what I learned so far they’re not guaranteeing any production of your solar panels unless u lease the warranty only covers broken parts so far they do answer any questions u have they might not like it but they do answer your questions the best of their abilities they do have different panels so do ask about the models U serious panels are not top-of-the-line producT X serious seem to be a good product. For whatever reason they don’t want to quote me on that. IDK why The M serious panels are the top in line most expensive panels they do offer that what i liked about them the most is they were upfront about their cash price it a big difference between finance price you will really save a lot of money. Bye finding your own loan.and they did not hide that next thing I have to do is see how well the panels do I hope this review helps you guys make a good decision there is risks of your panels, not going to perform make sure you’re gonna be ready to take that risk

The team is responsive but at times I felt that professional touch was lacking. I was pressured to get the payment before the install but ultimately the same was agreed to release 95% after install. now install was not ready (breaker was not in stock) but was tols its all installed and on trust I released not only 95% but 100% and then at a later date came to know that install was incomplete. Good sense prevailed with the team and next day breaker was put for final inspection by the county/city. Also after PGE send PTO letter on working day, the team has no idea about the same and I had to brought to the team's attention. It took 10 days after that to officialy set the monitoring on phone, but I took preemptive steps and enabled the breaker switch and the panel switches a day later when PTO email was received. That saved me to generate 600 KW minimum which else would have been wasted after the installation. Here I feel Professionalism is lacking.

Must say from start to finish I had a smooth transition over from the grid. Andrew McCormack my sales rep always informative. The design group to the installers very polite to my family while I was away at work. Thanks Sun Solar for the great experience. 5 star service.

I’d put zero stars if I could, that’s how unsatisfied I am. I wouldn’t recommend this solar company to anyone. Their customer service is terrible. My panels have been disconnected from wifi for months. No one ever reached out. When we saw our true up bill we decided to log in and see how are panels are running and found nothing. It’s been a month now….still not able to view our information and when I call I get told they are waiting on a part that should have been here weeks ago. No one has called me. No one has come out. Would not recommend.

Sun solar just finished installing a system on our home, and I have been impressed with their process from start to finish.

First, the person that we went through was Scott Sterling. From the beginning to the end he was very helpful, informative and comfortable to deal with. Not once did I feel like I was in a sales pitch. I genuinely believe he was most interested in what was best for me and my family. The first conversation wasn't even on cost or leasing vs selling or anything like that. It was simply what the company can do for our family and whether or not it was feasible for our situation. Once we determined it was, he brought us all the information of lease vs purchase options and answered every question I had. If he didn't have the answer, within 30 minutes he had it from his boss. They had great communication with us every step of the way. They dealt with our HOA and everything associated with it.

The next part was the actual install. Steve was the person in charge of it, and their work was exceptional. They were very courteous of their actions, language, music for the 2 days they were here. They left our property in better condition than they found it, even blowing out my garage before they left, as they put some tools in our garage. The actual install is the best I have seen, there is NO exterior conduit running from panel to panel (all ran through the attic) or on the side of the house (ran through the walls). Our house has spray instillation on the roof and they replaced every bit they had to take down to install. Once they were done in the attic, they vacuumed our closet to make it as if they weren't there. They were very professional and courteous to everyone, answering every question I (and my very inquisitive 2 and 4 year old) had for them.

Overall, I cannot answer as to how I will like solar in 10 years from now, but Sun Solar, and specifically Scott and Steve made this decision very easy for me and my family. If they are the standard for the company, I am sure Sun Solar will do everything they can to fix any problems that may come up in the future. One of the best companies as far as customer service I have ever dealt with.

Our solar consultant Orlando Ruiz was very professional and informative. He was quick to respond to all of our questions. The whole process has gone very smooth and quicker than expected.

Sun Solar did a great job with installing our panels! They insured that we would have optimal production with the appropriate panels installed. Couldn’t be happier with there customer service and the amount we save in electricity every month!

They explain everything very well, and make sure you understand how solar works and what you're getting into. When I had a question they were always right there to help... Especially Geoff. Definitely a good company to go with if you want solar. I'm happy I went with them.

We have had nothing but problems with our panels. They have not produced enough for the last two years and have gotten tiny “paybacks” for the difference the panels were supposed to produce and what they actually produced. Staff was initially helpful but after going in circles for several weeks about the deficiencies with the panels we were told we could pay an extra 10k to add more. Now our panels have not been working for over 3 weeks and we’re waiting on an appointment for them to be fixed. Meanwhile our latest power bill was close to 300 dollars plus the 175 we have to pay for our lease.

Not a happy customer and no one seems to care.

These guys will take your money and if you ever need something they’ll give you the run around on the phone and then converse with you over email for a month and ultimately leave you high and dry. Even if you offer to pay them for coming out they don’t come.
They said if you have the PPA then that’s one thing, they still want you to pay (so they’ll take care of issues) but if you already paid and they don’t have anything to gain from you anymore, you are a disease and they have no interest in taking care of those customers. They are no better than a fly by night operation.
People have asked who I have for solar and I’ve told them I was happy with Sunpower. I would not recommend them anymore. Anyone can install panels and turn and burn. Nothing special here!

Sunpower by Sun Solar was the easiest company to work with. Ashley set me up with a great sales rep. It took very little time out of my day. Install was quick and easy. The guys kept the work area clean. Love that I know exactly what my bill is and that we don’t have to sweat all summer long!

They have failed to provide communication , as promised, between my solar panels and the app that goes with it. Because of this I have no way to check solar production. It has been over a month and the company has not fixed the problem or communicated with me so I can understand why.
In addition there is a monthly fee of $7.50 for not being enrolled in Auto pay. This is not good customer relations!

We just has solar panels installed and the whole experience starting with Andrew McCormack to the install team was a great experience. They were knowledgeable, they communicated and very professional. I would highly recommend Sun Solar 100%. Thank you for not being like most companies these days, we appreciate your service.

Great Experience - I was contacted by Andrew McCormack from Sun Power by Solar after being referred from a neighbor of mine who had a 2 year old system from Sun Power. Andrew was great in answering my questions and communicating with me during each step of the process, from contract signing - to permission to operate. Sun Power's office staff is also easy to deal with. Our system has been up and running now for about 3 months and I monitor the production/usage everyday - I love being able to see production information in real time. Overall, I would recommend this company!

We have been VERY happy with our decision to have a solar system installed by Sun Solar. From the outset our representative, Andrew McCormack, was, and still is, very responsive to our questions. Installation happened on time, and installers were punctual and clean. Our system is one year old. We used to have $500 summertime power bills, but this summer we have had several months of credit, no payment necessary. Our true-up bill is estimated to be $80, coming soon.

I looked at a lot of solar companies in Bakersfield. In the end Sun Solar had everything I could ever ask for. The design of my system was great. No conduit. The install went fast and clean. I have not paid pg@e a dime in over a year. If you want the best company that is also local. Sun Sun Power by Sun Solar is the way to go. I would recommend them to anyone who asks.
