Sam at ROR is awesome. I had 2 8x10 rugs cleaned and repaired, and they came back perfect. I also ended up buying 7 afghan rugs for my halls and stairs to upgrade from bare wood floors, and they are gorgeous. Sam did the installation too. The price seemed reasonable to me for the rugs although I did no price comparisons. I'm extremely happy with everything.

I wanted to give a shout out to Sam at Rose Oriental Rugs for the excellent service he provided on cleaning and repairing the fringe on our carpet. At pick up he gave us a estimate and completion date and delivered right before Christmas. Thank you for the wonderful work.

We got our 10x13 Persian rug cleaned here and they did a wonderful job. The rug pickup was free and they even wrapped it for us for shipping afterwards. Sam was very knowledgeable and educated us on the origin of our rug, how to take care of it and even how to spot signs of moth damage (which we actually had on one side of the rug). He was very helpful and communicative throughout the entire process, making it a good experience. Thank you so much!

Absolutely superb workmanship. I had two valuable rugs and three ok rugs. They were inspected inch by inch before they were taken away. Assessments were made about the pads, small rips, tattered fringe. Of course, hand washing is essential for rugs of this calibre and Rose's did a beautiful job. one of my rugs had been in the home of a son and his young family. I no longer recognized it after ten years. The restoration of the colors astonished me. AND they pick up and deliver. Very ethical business. THANK YOU, SAM!

This was our first experience with Rose’s and we were very pleased. They operate from a sizeable property in the Elmwood on College Avenue. We had our very large dining room Oriental rug cleaned for the first time in probably 20 years. It looks fantastic! Sam, the proprietor, was able to pick up the rug the same day I called him, and returned it with 48 hours notice. We also purchased a pad. Nice people to deal with, we will use them again.

Thank you for the +5 star treatment from phone estimate, pickup, cleaning and delivery of our 6×9 oriental rug. My daughter's new dog soiled our rug and she tried cleaning it w/ vinegar and water, then baking soda. The urine stain was now totally bleached. Sam said he would do his best, but couldn't guarantee it a 100%. The rug was delivered back to us and it looked like a new rug.

I found Rose Oriental Rugs on Yelp a few years ago. They had very good reviews. Since then, I have used this place consistently over the past 2 to 3 years. In each instance, I've found him to be very conscientious and diligent in his work. Great workmanship. Their prices are very reasonable. His 5-star reviews are all very well earned. I have no reason to bother with any other rug cleaning place now. Its worth my drive from Alameda to Albany b/c I know my rug(s) will be in good hands and Rose Oriental will do a great job as always. I found Rose Oriental Rugs when I experienced an unfortunate series of pet accidents on my very large antique Persian (Tabriz) rug. I was looking for someone who knew how to properly respect and care for this rug and clean it the best way. Sam was so kind and helpful and personally came to pick up my rug and educate me about these rugs and explained their careful process -- one they do themselves from start to finish. The care he put into rolling up my rug and returning it and placing it just right was amazing. The smells were removed and it looked better than ever. When a visitor pet had a seizure and messed it up again, he graciously came back with the same kindness and repeated the whole process. They have been flexible with scheduling and always return calls. I could not recommend this business more! If I remember correctly this family has been in the business for a very long time so they can be trusted with the most confidence with your rugs. Don't hesitate to have them help you!

I saved this beautiful antique rug from a home because it was going to be thrown away. It was so filthy and dogs had peed on it for years. It was disgusting!! Sam (extremely knowledgable and kind) picked it up (and returned!) in Alameda, repaired some frayed edging and thoroughly cleaned, sanitized and removed all pet odor. He completely restored it for its next 100 years. Absolutely amazing skill. Total pros and so kind.

I usually dont write reviews but I needed to for this. I had a rug that my cat sprayed and the smell was the worst! I tried to shampoo the rug myself and it just spread and drenched the entire rug with the smell. It was so bad I even considered dumping the carpet. However, after considering the value of the rug, I had to try and save it but I was really doubtful. I looked online and checked reviews and found Rose Oriental Rugs and Sam. I called Sam and he assured me that he would be able to take care of it. Rose Oriental Rugs is a family buisness and He noted they go back several generations. I still had my doubts because the smell was just that bad. Sam told me dont worry he will pick it up, wash it, and bring it back 100% smell free. After a couple of weeks, the carpet is back home and smell free. To me its a minor miracle because that smell was like a nightmare but now its gone! I would recommend them to anyone that needs a rug cleaned.
