The owner truly respects your rugs and will honestly tell you what can be done to restore them. They also clean rugs and provide underpads. He was wonderful with my great grandmother's carpet, a family heirloom.

I have a 9*12 Heriz Serapi rug (Persian rug) which I love so much that I was ready to do anything I could to get it fixed. It got two big rips that was caused by water damage and on top of the damage I always wish I could change the black color parts to something bright so it could match with my cream color furniture and after taking it to different places all I got was disappointment until I found Rose Rug. They made it happen with care and their knowledge. The result is unbelievable. What they did was almost unreal so that’s why I thought they deserve to be recommended. So I highly recommend this business for any concern about any kind of rug you’re having problem with. They know what they’re doing !!!!

I want to give this place a good review because the man running it does seem kind but unfortunately I can’t. We had a rug that we bought in India that had fraying on the edges from an accident. We dropped it off and they said they had to clean it first before they could give a quote for the repair due to COVID which while expensive (70 dollars) we thought acceptable. Well, we waited and waited and went back weekly to ask for our rug and each week we were told they would have it next week and we were given a day to come get it. Finally after this happening numerous times the owner said he would deliver it to us on a Friday. Which to his credit - he did. That being said when we opened the rug it was damage even more than before. The corner where the fraying is must have been where they washed it as it’s a completely different color, it looks bleached and also there seems to be a hard layer of crust on it from whatever sort of washing they did. The rug is basically ruined. I’m going to try to now find another shop that can fix the entire corner where they damage the rug. This was a small fix which is now huge due to the work they did.

Rose Carpets just finished a difficult repair and restoration of our silk Indian rug, which had been badly chewed by our pup. The repairs have been completed seamlessly and we cannot now see where the damage has been. Amazing work. I recommend their professional and highly skilled weaving skills.

I trust Rose Oriental Rugs to clean my beloved rugs. They do a great job and are very thoughtful and careful. They also are good communicators, and it's obvious they take pride in great customer service.

Last year, Rose Oriental Rugs cleaned and "repaired" five oriental rugs for us. Our valuable 9' by 12' Persian rug caught our attention immediately, as some washed-out blue dye had stained one of the borders. A representative said they would remove these stains without cost, but they never followed through. More careful study of this rug shows that one half has brilliant deep reds and bright sky blues; on the other half, the reds are now watermelon hued, and the sky blues are noticeably paler. In summary, a large, valuable rug appears to have been washed improperly, and a promise of follow-up cleaning was not fulfilled..

I would give six stars if possible. I am a collector of semi-antique and antique Persian tribal rugs, mainly Qaishqai and Luri. These are rare one-of-a-kind works of art, not commercial Persian weavings. I have over 70 of these. I had one rug that had some moth damage so I took it to Sam for repair. Over the years I have know many many people who repair and restore Persian rugs. Sam is the best I have ever seen. I defy anyone to look at that rug and show me where the repairs are. His cleaning is done the 100% correct way with the rugs coming back shiny and soft like new. I also give him credit for saving 52 of the rugs in my collection from destruction. One day he was in my place and started looking at the rugs that I have hanging on the walls and noticed that every one of them had moth eggs, tiny, almost invisible little white dots. He took every rug down, treated them for moths and washed them. The next step is to spray every nook and cranny of my office where they will be returned so that they can't possibly get re-infected when he returns them. It's expensive to treat and wash 52 rugs but nothing compared to repairing them or losing them completely. Thanks, Sam. Great job.

Mr. Zareii did extraordinary work cleaning our two rugs! The color is brighter and the fringe around the edge is completely clean, we didn't think either were possible. He chooses the cleaning products based on the type of soil in the rug and uses gentle cleaners to maintain the color and quality of the design. He is a wonderful, good, and generous man with his time and expertise!

Rose Oriental Rugs did an excellent job of cleaning my hand-designed and loomed family room rug, which was quite stained. Sam was professional and gave me an estimate and time in which the work was to be completed and fulfilled it. I highly recommend this company.

It was my first time using the rug cleaning services and I could not be happier with the result. I made the phone call and they were at my house in few hours. The quote was the same as what they gave me over the phone. I asked them to wrap my rugs (I had five of them) in plastic bags when they were done with cleaning since I wanted to storage them. They said they don't usually do that, but made it happen per my request. They were very professional and came to my home with masks on. They brought back my rugs and asked me to monitor them first before wrapping them on the plastic bags. Overall, I am very happy with my experience with the Rose Rug Cleaning & Repair and I highly recommend their services.

I couldn't be happier with the work Rose did on two rugs of mine this month. The rugs hadn't been cleaned in a while and one had to be washed a handful of times, more than usual, and I was impressed with the care that was taken. The rugs came back looking beautiful again, and Sam was very kind and thoughtful. I will definitely use Rose again and will recommend to friends.

We bought a large rug for our dining room in 1991...and hadn't had it cleaned since then. Lots of dinners, parties and receptions meant the odd red wine and food stain. We had the rug washed, and the red wine stains vanished. When it was installed again (180 degrees rotated, to even out the wear and sun exposure) I was SO impressed. It looked new again! We opted for a new rug pad as well, which seems to grip the rug and prevent bunching. We're really happy with the service, as well as the expert advice.

Excellent service and treatment of fine rugs. I needed several antique rugs cleaned and repaired and Sam the owner is an expert at repair and restoration or just plain cleaning. He is detailed oriented, extremely knowledgeable about rugs, and can tell you their origin and other interesting information if you ask. My experience at Roses Rug cleaning was absolutely incredible from start to finish. Everyone at Roses Rug cleaning was knowledgeable, sincere and kind. I Highly recommend this company. We need to support small businesses, especially those owned and operated by people of color. I will be going back to Roses Rug cleaning over and over again so long as I live in the Bay Area. Rose Rugs did a very good job on 3 rugs for me. My dog had messed them up substantially. Sam picked them up and delivered them, I think it was 3 wks, later. I also bought a thick pad to protect the floors. I'm happy with everything they did. Sam, the owner, told me one of mine was 80 yrs old which I hadn't known. And did a repair on it. They all looked and felt good, and I would use Rose Rug again. Also if shopping for rugs, I would look here too.

The two washed rugs look beautiful, better than they have in decades. Sam told me about some of their images and the age and genesis of the rugs. Wonderful. A 3rd rug is being repaired, a hand process that takes months. The Rose Rug worker repairing other rugs gave me the confidence to hand over mine.. I've now given this company another 6 rugs for washing, repair, and moth proofing.
Sam believes in, lives, personal service, a seeming casualness that obscures his diligence with his records. Even so, I suggest that a customer take one's own photographs when relinquishing rugs, if only to keep straight which rug came from what province...

The owner of Rose Rug Cleaning is named Sam, and he does all the cleaning. He is a total professional. Understands carpets from A-Z, and then some.
He saved an antique plush fabric nobody else would touch. But Sam took me on as client. Not only did he manage to get all the stains out (in a long process without harsh chemicals), but made the plush carpet-like fabric look like new. It was almost a miracle!
I could not have been happier.
He saved the fabric all other cleaning services had told me to throw away.
Sam has since done our big wool carpet and given us excellent advise on 2 Persian rugs we own. His expertise and craftsmanship is for real. He also understands customers. He is calm and polite and he knows that sometimes a cheap rug can hold memories and feel priceless. One can be sure that he will give it the same diligence as an expensive piece. He explains everything. A great craftsman!

They cleaned 3 of my rugs (2 wool and 1 silk, large, medium and runner). They provided excellent service and the rugs look great. They also looked at my antique rug and gave me advice on how to take care of it and what repairs it would need in the future so I can plan for it. Appreciated his honesty and advice.
