Wonderful experience. My Izzo Duetto of eight years started developing leaks with the steam boiler letting out steam like a pressure cooker time and again. Took it to the fine folks at Kanen and have a machine that works like the day I first got it! Super friendly staff adds icing on their extremely professional service. Great communication all through the process with precise setting of expectations. Kanen will be my go to for all servicing and repair needs going forward! Thanks Sam and team!

Very helpful. I called to ask about repairing my espresso machine and the owner helped me figure out if the issue was economically repairable. He also, per my request, based on his experience on repairing espresso machines, recommended a quality replacement.
I opted to take his advice and researched the recommended product and made the purchase. He also helped me know what repairs he mostly made on the new product, so I could compare that info to the online reviews and make an educated purchase.
I appreciate his willingness to help me, even though I ended up not sending a repair to him. And I would recommend this business, based on my experience today. -
Kanen worked extremely hard to find the root cause of my broken Pasquini machine, working closely with the manufacturer to correctly diagnose the problem. I appreciated the perseverance and willingness to keep digging in until they were confident everything worked perfectly.

They are the best! Tuned up our Jura Coffee machine at a reasonable price. They are professional and have a quick turnaround. Thanks!

Very friendly, capable people who did a great job on my 15+ year old Mazzer grinder. It's like new in performance and appearance. The whole process was very smooth and just as they described on their site. This is the second time that they have done work for me and I'm very pleased.

I purchased a used Izzo Alex Duetto III espresso machine from the owner of this business via Facebook Marketplace last month. The listing had stated that the machine needed repairs, including a new pump, heating element, and o-ring for the mushroom. In our conversation, I specifically asked the owner if the machine was in overall good condition aside from those repairs, to which he assured me it was.
However, when I started working on the machine a week later, I discovered that it was poorly disassembled and missing numerous crucial parts. These included the main electronics controller, one solid state relay, the bottom body panel, the pump collar, the lid for the water tank, and all of the screws. The motor itself was also corroded, and the bearing was grinding due to a pump leak. It was clear that the machine had been disassembled at some point, and the owner likely decided not to fix it.
I reached out to the owner, hoping it was an honest mistake, and asked if he had simply forgotten to include a bag of parts. He responded that he didn’t have any of the missing parts and reiterated that the machine was being sold as a project with missing parts. I pointed out that these missing components—estimated to cost around $1,000—were never disclosed upfront, despite his assurances that the machine was in “good condition overall.”
While the owner offered to take the machine back, the logistics of returning it (a 2-hour drive each way) along with the fact that I had already spent $300 on non-returnable parts made this unfeasible. I chose to accept the loss but strongly urged him to be more transparent with future customers.
It's also worth noting that the owner has since deleted the original Marketplace listing, which prevented me from leaving this review on the platform where I made the purchase. I’m sharing this experience here to warn others. It’s disappointing to have had this experience, and I feel that my situation reflects a lack of honesty and integrity in how this machine was sold. I would caution others to thoroughly inspect any items sold by this business and to expect full transparency regarding their condition. -
Really wanted to like this place as the owner seems like a good guy. However, my experience was absolutely terrible. I brought in my Breville Oracle for Repair and was charged over $150 upfront non refundable deposit. The nonrefundable deposit didn’t bother me as much as the lack of communication and abilities to repair after I dropped off my machine. The website stated it would take 2 to 3 weeks before being contacted about the details of the repair which never came, I had to continually keep reaching out and it took over six weeks before hearing back that my machine wasn’t repairable. I only received communication because I kept sending in emails and calling.
The owner did not work on my machine and instead a younger staff member was and I was told it was tested a few times and they were very busy this season. Extremely disappointed because I drove all the way out from Sacramento. I’m out over 1k on the machine and over hours to drop off and pick up. I’m not the most well off and this was a HUGE investment for my wife and I with nothing to show for it- right before the holidays.
Absolutely couldn’t be more disappointed. -
Wonderful service and knowledge. I really appreciated the assistance in finding a grinder that has been perfect for our needs. I could not be happier. Thank you!

My husband left our Saeco espresso machine for repair at Kanen . It is a 20+ year old model, so we were not holding a lot of hopes that repair is even possible. In fact we bought the newest Breville espresso machine but after 2 months of having poor quality of espresso every morning delivered from Breville machine, he decided to look and invest into repairing our old Saeco. Let me be clear here - we love espresso, black espresso, we do not add anything to our espresso so if you add anything to your espresso or are not a picky coffee consumers Breville espresso machine is probably a great purchase for you. So, as I said my husband found Kanen and they did fantastic job repairing our Saeco. Professional and knowledgeable people!! Extremely satisfied with their work and our espresso :)

The service you get here is always detail oriented and thorough. I’ve brought both my espresso machine and grinder here for repair and have had great results. The team knows what they’re doing and will be up-front about the cost and time to delivery. They communicate extensively throughout the process and are incredibly knowledgeable. I trust Kanen to do a great job every time and I highly recommend their shop to anyone needing expert repair in the Bay.

We had a great experience with Kanen Coffee. We arrived early for our service appointment, but the helped us anyway. They got a repair estimate back to us within a couple days. We will return there when we purchase a new espresso machine.

Excellent level of attention to our older and much-used Pavoni espresso machine! The care and attention transformed the machine by overhauling the old gaskets and leaks from a loose base, putting our treasured kitchen item into excellent working order. And it makes fantastic espresso again!!!

The best and only place to take your coffee machine for repair. They are so nice and knowledgeable. I was happy to repair it instead of buying a new one. Easy drive up to drop and pick up your machine.

Took my Breville Barista Express to Kanen Coffee for a fix on the seal during extraction—super happy with the whole experience. They were great about communicating what was going on, what it would cost, and when it’d be ready. Pick-up was easy and friendly. Highly recommend if you need solid espresso machine repairs and good service all around.
