After months of research and multiple attempts to purchase a good quality espresso machine I finally settled on Kanen Coffee to purchase the Quick Mill Andreja Premium. My previous efforts were through a larger east coast company that did not provide the service I expected for a high end machine. All things being equal, that is, most companies specializing in selling espresso machines are going to sell them for about the same price, what's left? Customer service. If anything goes wrong with my machine and I need service under warranty I trust that Kanen Coffee will take care of me and my machine. Sam was very responsive through the whole purchase process and, as my luck would have it, when he received my machine it needed a part before he could set it up and test it for me. Sam provided regular updates on the status of my machine via email and helped me through the initial growing pains of learning to use the machine once I got it home. I'm very satisfied with my purchase and more than satisfied with the great customer service from Sam.

They got my EXPOBAR Office Pro working like new again!

I had it serviced last year by someone else after a few issues, but they clearly didn't diagnose the underlying issues or didn't see some of the other impending failures, because it stopped again.

I brought it to Kanen and they gave me a reasonable quote to fix the current issues and also get preventative for future ones. The price was solid, The service explanation was great, and when they were done they even included a video of the machine functioning as expected.

Hopefully I will not have to use them again but definitely would if ever needed!

Brought in my much loved 7-year-old Rancilio Silvia espresso machine for repair after frying the heating element. The repair crew is great. Very professional offering lots of details of what was replaced in their YouTube video posting. At the pickup they also answered all my questions about maintenance and how to keep my machine in shape for the next 7 years. I love coffee shops, but having a reliable machine in home that can make perfect cappuccinos is necessity in my mind. Thank you Kanen Coffee for the great repair job.

I brought My Rocket Giotto evo R Espresso Machine to Kanen in September 2023 for repair of burnt out wires coming out of the main switch. Just past the warranty period expired in January 2024 the machine stopped working. I found that the same wires were cooked again. The one problem wire was not replaced by Kanen and it appeared that it was poorly attached to a connector which was shorted again. For DIY folks, you can save hundreds of $ by looking on the internet. I correctly repaired my machine for $6.00 in parts.

Let me first start off by saying it did not go as intended but that allowed me to experience their customer service on the unexpected.

I turned my machine in and when I received it back I plugged it in and it was not working.
That led me to reach out to them and they allowed me to bring it in they went above and beyond and replaced the grinder finally received my machine back and it works better than ever! Sometimes in life things don’t go according to plan but the fact that they were willing to work with me and extend a hand and the customer service was phenomenal made experience that much better.

Great communication and transparency. Will definitely be using their services again in the future.

Sam and his team are great! Trust the timeline and appreciate that your machine is in GREAT hands. These guys are diligent in their work and respect the art form. Julian and Caldon were great, diagnosing problems with my ECM espresso machine, ordering parts and repairing the machine to as-new condition. They clearly communicated the machine’s issues and timeline for repairs. I have trusted Sam and his staff for years to service my machine.

Julios the man. I stumbled into this shop after coming to CoRo to meet a friend in Berkeley. Although I live out of this area, I got a ton of advice and tips on how to maintain my Breville Dual Boiler machine without the promise of business. The staff at Kanen seems to know their stuff, and also you can see their active repair scene in the background, showcasing a fair bit of machines like the standard Breville machines all the way up to E61. Please come visit for help with your espresso machines. If I lived around here, I would 100% trust to bring my machine here for repairs if I ever had any issues. Plus, talking to the guys here are so educational and fun.

I ordered a part for my coffee machine from this company but received no notification from the company that my order was received or shipped so I thought I was scammed. I emailed them asking for a refund because I bought the part elsewhere after not hearing anything from them. they said they had already shipped my item but needed to return it on my dime if I wanted a refund. They won’t refund me for the $20 shipping I had to pay to get refunded after they are the reason I didn’t need the part anymore to begin with. I never would’ve ordered a part elsewhere if they had communicated properly and now I am out $20 because of it.

Excellent service! They answered all of my questions. They caught other things that we needed to fix. Fast response and finished the project quickly!

Miniska showed on time. He was very professional, quoting his estimate after his initial inspection. He was very careful and clean. In fact he put booties on his shoes prior to entering the premises and covered the floor area in front of boiler before beginning the repair. I would recommend him to anyone needing a boiler tech.
