We have had several different service providers come out from Albert Nahman, and while they have all been great, I will definitely be requesting Charles in the future. Charles was friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and easygoing. He quickly and accurately assessed our issues all the while un-phased by our dog’s constant barking and curious baby. 5 stars for Charles!

I hope it's an anomaly, but my initial consultation was a disaster. They missed their appointment window AND their rescheduled window. Despite repeated promises to notify me about updates to my service appointment, I never received a single text or phone call. I had to call numerous times and was often greeted by an A.I. voice service. When I finally reached a live person, they blamed the inconvenience on me, citing the 1 hour during the entire day when I wasn't available. When the plumber finally showed up, he was visibly sick - coughing, sniffling, etc.- and didn't offer to wear a mask.

Ricardo's a great salesman and a really enjoyable guy—thorough, experienced, articulate with details, personable, honest... and the new heater unit we had installed as a result of his pitch is wonderful.

Terrible experience. We spent many thousands of dollars on a new water heater 4 years ago. It now isn't functioning and needs a part that requires several hundred dollars to provide hot water. Even worse, I cannot get them to even give me a call back after calling 3 times over 3 days to get an update on when they can install the part. There is no leadership and no action here. We are without hot water and have no recourse because it will void the warranty on the heater. Will never work with this company again.

The Albert Nahman team helped my husband and I sort out our sewer lateral issues in order to pass the EBMUD sewer lateral pressure test. The team was thorough and helpful. Big shout out to Sam and Sergio for their work figuring out what was wrong with our pipes and to Jeff for coordinating and offering great customer service.

Had a leak in a copper water line inside a wall. Very professional. Big van stocked with equipment. They used Pro Press (which I prefer) instead of solder weld.

We are extremely unhappy with Albert Nahman’s lack of service and
communication. We used Albert N. for a broken main water line to
our house 3/27/24. It has now been 3 ½ months since Albert N. started
their work; we have been left with an incomplete job, an open ditch
and busted-up sidewalk. The only temporary coverings provided are
small pieces of plywood covering Albert N. incomplete project. Our
neighbors and my 4-year-old son have all tripped over the sidewalk
coverings. At this point, it is a hazard.

We have called Albert N. almost daily since the work started and
have been promised by the operators numerous times that Management,
including the Owner Tyler G, will call us back by the end of the day. As of today
7/1/24 we have not received a single call back or any response on when
our work will be completed. We were also told us at the initial
completion of laying the pipes that we had to pay it in FULL even though the work was not complete!
Now, in hind sight, it is not legal; California Contractors State license board, Contractors of Progress payment restrictions, and progress says you are not allowed to accept more than 80% payment until all work is signed off and completed. We are now stuck waiting for any response on if and when our
work will be completed.

The reason we chose Albert Nahman is that my parents used to use the original real Albert Nahman in the early 90s in Berkeley and raved about Albert’s great work and that the pipes have been working with no problems for 30 years. Unfortunately, this company is not Albert Nahman. It is a disorganized, noncommunicative cooperation whose only likeness is a faceless silhouette of Albert on the side of their vans.

Great experience with Albert Nahman. I called for service on my mini splits earlier this week and they sent Enrique out the next day. He was prompt, friendly, professional and efficient. He also taught me how to take care of the filters myself which I really appreciated. Will definitely be calling them the next time I have a plumbing or HVAC issue!

Kevin and Nick (Nicholas) were awesome! They did everything quick with quality and details. They told me everything that they would do and get them done and I understood them perfectly! And man, the new toilet is awesome! Use a little and push unwanted hard like tornado. Feel a lot different than regular toilet when sitting on it and size of bowl and height are spot on. If you have any problem with plumbing, heating, etc, you can’t go wrong with any technicians from Albert Nahman. Albert Nahman for life!

Albert Nahman Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling provided outstanding service. The team was professional, knowledgeable, and very responsive. They arrived on time, explained the issue clearly, and completed the work efficiently. The quality of service was excellent, and the pricing was fair. I highly recommend Albert Nahman for reliable plumbing, heating, and cooling services.

The guy was great and took care of things promptly. The only issue I have is with scheduling. An 8-hour window just ties up the whole day. There's got to be a better way.

This firm is professional and responsive. They have expert plumbers who advised us on options and quickly came into the city to do the installation. Their office staff is courteous and helpful. I feel that we got the quality service we paid for.

Albert Nahman is my go-to for all plumbing and HVAC work. most recently, I called for a leaky faucet repair and they sent someone out the next day. I have the repair scheduled next Friday. I’m confident they’ll do a great job. About 4 months ago they replaced my water heater. While it was costly, the inspector raved about the quality of the work.

Sal came a little early but had phoned first to make sure I would be there. We looked at the problem with the stormwater drain in back yard. He gave me an estimate and showed how it was calculated. It was a fair price for the length of my line which was over 100 feet. I approved, he got his water jet tools and started clean where water was running over the gutters at one drain spout. He got that all clean to where one of three lines go into the main line going to the concrete stormwater ditch at the back of the yard. He then cleaned that line. In the process huge amounts of old leaves and extensive amounts of dirt came out. He worked the water jet line back and forth many times to make sure the water was clean. Finally he came back to where he had started and run clean water. It flowed rapidly out into the concrete ditch as a double check. He cleaned everything up on the decks and in the yard, put his tools away and made sure I was happy with the work, which I certainly was.

I would highly recommend this company for your plumbing needs.

We had some plumbing work done by Albert Nahman a few years back. There were some organizational snafus along the way, and this was explained to us as resulting from the company being in the process of expansion and reorganization. Now, in 2025 we brought them back to do a minor sink repair and then to install a new tankless water heater. The four stars are for the good job the techs did, including their being prompt and courteous. The one star deduction comes from an annoying failure on their part to record our having paid for the job. I handed a check to the initial plumber/technician who quoted us the job. When the second tech finished with the actual installation he asked for payment, and when I said I had already paid we had to go through the rigamarole of him calling the office to check. Paid? Yes. But wait, there's more. In the following week I received by email an invoice requesting payment, and when I ignored that one, I received a second invoice. I was irked. I called and of course, the person in the office had to (of course) check to see if I actually had paid. There was no record of this, and when I expressed annoyance I was told "that's a different department." The age-old bureaucratic explanation/excuse. And yes, the check had already cleared, so it wasn't misplaced or lost. So it seems that Nahman, now a big name company in plumbing and heating services in our area, is still in that 'left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing" organizational stage, which is disappointing.

Once again, Albert Nahman has exceeded my expectations. I placed a call for help when I found water under my sink and was given a same day appointment. The technician was well within the appointment window, capable, personable and cleaned up thoroughly. What a relief to have the situation resolved quickly.

This is an update of a previous review from 11/17/25. Albert Nahman Co. contacted me some days later and they offered to cover the cost of the labor for a replacement faucet cartridge. It was later determined that the entire valve assembly had failed necessitating, not only a whole new faucet assembly, but in order to access the plumbing it required removal and replacement of the part of the shower wall and tile. Albert Nahman 's service manager, Jeff really came through for me on this issue. They covered the cost of all the labor, which was extensive. Their technicians were prompt, kept the areas clean, did a respectable job with repairing the tile, and most importantly, everything is working again. I am revising my rating to 5 stars.

Great job replacing 60 year-old duct work. Project was 2 weeks from initial contact to wrap up. Tom made some great suggestions for the initial estimate then Bryan and his crew did great work on the installation.

I've been a repeat customer for the past two years, bringing my 100 yr old house up to date. Most recent project was a re-pipe of my kitchen drain line: Jared was my field supervisor, and Moises and Sergio did the install. My entire experience was fantastic from start to finish. They were prompt, efficient, so courteous, easy to work with, and fast. This is a team that knows exactly what they are doing. HIGHLY recommend asking for this team. While no one likes dealing with a plumbing issue, this team makes the process so positive -- I'm not wishing for more leaks...but if I have them, I know I've got a go-to group to help me solve my problems. Save yourself the frustration. Go somewhere else.

I have been waiting here for nine hours now for a technician to come. I have gotten no phone calls from Albert Nahman plumbing, No updates, no responses to my outbound phone calls.

Their installation was very fast and they were very fast to get their cash from me, but their service afterwards has been absolutely horrendous. They have not followed up on getting an inspection done until we nagged them four times, we have not gotten any paperwork to support the claim that they would help us get a rebate or a tax credit.

Although their initial service was reasonably priced, Their lack of follow through and horrible customer support makes me wish I had spent more in the first place for better quality and responsiveness.
