Great service from Albert Nahman plumbing in Berkeley. Charles Williams did the work. Great job. Two tricky jobs fixing a water knock problem and the other a leaking bath. All the work was done very well and fast. 100% service. I’m a previous customer for plumbing and new AC so I know that Nahman plumbing does great work. Highly recommended

While they came out quickly the first time, and the technician was very nice and professional, I’ve been waiting days for a follow up. They were not able to resolve the issue, saying I needed a jetter to come and clean out my lateral. I’m still waiting for any information regarding an estimate or schedule and in the meantime cannot use my toilet or shower. I called twice and sent one email to follow up and was told they couldn’t promise when I’d get the info because they didn’t want to set an unrealistic expectation. Needless to say, I’m looking for an other plumber to finish the job. Especially since I spent a lot of money to just diagnose the issue. I’m very disappointed.

Updated: I finally received an estimate but it was too late. We had an other company do the job. We couldn’t really wait considering we couldn’t use our toilet. Plus I wouldn’t use them again - the toilet the technician removed for the inspection was not re-installed properly and now the toilet rocks. We have to have that fixed now too. So basically we paid over $500 for an inspection and a rocking toilet.

After I discovered a leak in the drainage pipe underneath my kitchen sink, I made a service appointment with Albert Nahman. I selected Albert Nahman because I frequently see their service vehicles in my neighborhood. (The plumbing service I previously used -- and valued highly -- seems to have relocated out of the area.)
The service technician, Deandre Perkins, arrived on time and quickly analyzed the scope of work and the parts needed. He left briefly to retrieve the parts and quickly started the repair work upon returning.
Deandre was friendly and professional, and he completed the repairs carefully without rushing. He tested his work to ensure that the leak was fully repaired. My spouse and I could not have been more satisfied.
My sincere thanks go to Deandre and to Albert Nahman Plumbing.

I was happy with the response time. The prices are still higher than I would like, but that was the trade-off for me. And I really appreciated the technician, not trying to up, charge me, or sell me some “membership”. And for that reason, I would recommend them.

I highly recommend this company. They really know their stuff and made a great recommendation for heating that I could afford. All staff I interacted with were knowledgeable and professional. And they have great customer service. They answered all my questions and encouraged me to reach out if I ever needed help. Phone calls were always answered or returned promptly. Great job! Love my new wall furnace.

Good quality of work, very pricey, extremely poor scheduling and customer service.

I have Albert Nahman install a toilet for me last year. No issues, except they charge $300+ for that job. 4.5 stars.

I recently had them quote replacing a tub drain, which was $1700 not including drywall repair 2-4 hour job and $50 of parts).

They couldn’t do it same day, so I scheduled it for 1 week later. They sent a plumber the next day when no one was home, even though I said not to schedule it that day. I called the office and talked with the plumber that was on site to let them know that I would like to cancel entirely, and I would call back to reschedule. Two days later, I got another call from a plumber that was at the house when I wasn’t there, beause their office had again scheduled a plumber to come when I had not requested it.

Overall, very poor communication between the customer office and actual technicians doing the work which likely adds to their overall costs…making their work expensive. It was also clear that the technicians knew this was an issue because the first plumber who inspected and quoted the job mentioned that I should schedule it directly with him because the office was likely to mess it up. 2 stars

Updated to three stars. After I posted the below review a Nahman rep reached out quickly and helped fix the issue. He was attentive, responsive, and helped resolve the problem within a day. It was a good experience and erased some of my earlier frustration. I feel three stars is appropriate given the delay but I appreciate the company making an effort to respond to criticism.

This winter we scheduled Albert Nahman to come diagnosis an issue with a furnace. The technician was fine but needed his supervisor to complete the estimate to fully diagnosis the issue. Fine. That was done on December 22. The first appointment was on December 10. It is now late January and we have yet to receive an estimate. We spent almost $300 for no diagnosis and would have been better off going with another company. I would avoid.

This company is a life saver everytime they come out! I have had three different technicians come to my house and each one has been very knowledgeable, very respectful and professional. They get the job done right every single time. In a busy world, my time is priceless and the jobs that they do are worth every penny. I highly recommend this company!

Albert and his team were amazing. I had been freezing for months and had no idea what to do about my furnace. I called Albert’s company and worked with Jeremiah, and he was outstanding. He diagnosed the issue fast, fixed it quickly, and made sure everything was running properly before he left. Super professional and helpful. Highly recommend these guys to anyone.

Albert Nahman Plumbing has been our long time favorite plumbing establishment for years. They are competent, kind and very well priced. My Mother haf always used them, and now I myself will go nowhere else
Salvatore who came put today to help us, and when I say it was a tough job, mean it but he handled it beautifully. Clearly Mr Nahman chooses exceptional plumbers.

Plunged parent’s toilet $189. Five stars. Replaced parent’s broken single hole lav faucet with “like” faucet with no change to fittings $1010.95. ZERO stars. I was the contact person and they had the person with disabilities sign the contract. I would NEVER have approved that. I called Thursday. No return call yet.

This was my first time using Albert Nahman Plumbing and they were fabulous. The Technician, Christopher was truly an expert. Very knowledgeable and very clean in his work. He completely replaced my kitchen faucet unit and it looks beautiful and works great. He totally went out of his way to buy a new unit and it matched perfectly to the one that had to be replaced. I will be referring my neighbors to this firm and of course Chris. Thank you so much for making this job a complete success.

We were so disappointed with this company. I made the appointment in November for 1/14/26.
We traveled from Colorado for this appointment. We told them in November that we wanted our heater checked and our thermostat changed, since it wasn’t functioning and our house was 50 degrees.
The day before the appointment I called to get a time window when we could expect the technician to arrive. They could only tell me 8am-4pm. We woke up and waited and waited. I called in at 10:45 to get a better idea of when they were coming. At that time they told me that one of their employees called out sick and that they would have to reschedule the appointment. At that point we asked to speak to a Supervisor and lodged our complaint. After some time in our explanation, she guaranteed that we would have service today 1/15 and that we would be the first appointment.
No one was here at 9am so I called again.
The receptionist gave me the same explanation of an employee calling off. I asked to speak to a supervisor again but she couldn’t transfer me and had no phone number to call directly to a supervisor again.
At that point I was livid!!! They did send an employee after noon today and when he got here he didn’t have a thermostat, which I originally requested to help me. At that point we cancelled our appointment. I will never do business with them again and nd I hope people reading this review will stay away!!!

Sal Garrido was absolutely spectacular in restoring my peace of mind when he stopped the running water in 2 of my 3 toilets. He expertly repaired them by needed replacement of parts that caused the problems. And he clearly explained and priced the job before starting. Given that my husband who recently passed away used to handle all of our home maintenance issues, I was particularly relieved to have such knowledgeable and gracious assistance from Mr. Garrido. He’s a true asset to your company and deserves special recognition for his excellent service. I have been a customer of Albert Nahman in the past and was again impressed.

Highly recommend Albert Nahman Plumbing! The customer service was excellent from start to finish—from the receptionist who handled my initial call to the knowledgeable technician, Deandre P., who arrived within two hours.

Unlike several other plumbing companies I contacted, Albert Nahman did not charge for travel time. They were also offering a February promotion for free diagnostics, which was greatly appreciated.

Deandre P. was professional, thorough, and patient. He carefully inspected the pipes and water lines and clearly explained his findings. Although no plumbing leak was identified and the issue appears to be related to a large rainwater stream under the house, I valued the honest assessment and the time he took to investigate the problem. I was not charged for the visit.

Overall, Albert Nahman Plumbing demonstrated integrity and outstanding customer service.

Devin at 3rdGen Heating and Cooling did a great job installing our mini split unit - highly recommend for ductless AC.

Devin is the upmost friendliest respectful person I have ever came across, he gets straight to the point always on time very professional, & acknowledged at what he does I have had 3rd Generation come out and do many repairs and installations I can say 10/10 of the times I am very satisfied with the work I will continue to use 3rd Generation they are the best at what they do in the HVAC industry.
