I've been recommended by my contractor friend to use Residential Heating and Air Conditioning for years, and they've done two replacements in different properties for me - both experiences were top-notch. The team, including Cathy, Trina, and the techs, are seasoned pros who get the job done right every time. Their service is always reliable and positive; I'm a big fan and recommend them highly.

We've had a great experience with this company before, replacing an old AC compressor with quick, expert work (Timo did a fantastic job!). However, on Labor Day Weekend, our thermostat suddenly stopped working due to the sweltering heat. We called just before 5pm and Cathy Haire picked up - she walked us through rebooting the furnace and thermostat, which fixed the issue and saved us from having to spend the weekend dealing with it. The service was outstanding and the customer care is top-notch; this business truly delivers!

I recently had a disastrous experience with this company, which left me thoroughly unimpressed. The issue began when their representative showed up at my home, insisting that I needed a complete replacement of my system. When I asked why, they claimed it was because the existing system used R-22 coolant, which was phased out in 2019.
I quickly fact-checked this information and found that R-22's phase-out date was actually set for 2020, not 2019. Moreover, I discovered that R-22 is still available online at prices ranging from $17 to $33 per pound. When I presented this information to the representative, they initially backed down but then claimed that it would cost $80 a pound and take 4-6 hours to locate the leak in my system.
The quote for replacement was a staggering $5000, which seemed excessively high considering the representative's earlier claims about R-22. What struck me as particularly egregious was the lack of discussion about environmental issues, despite the phase-out of an ozone-depleting substance like R-22. At that point, I was livid.
Fortunately, I managed to find a different HVAC professional who quickly identified the issue – a loose valve cap – and recharged my system for a total cost of $500. It's likely that this company will respond with some form of justification regarding environmental concerns, but their initial deception left me skeptical.
Their representative lied about the phase-out date, R-22 availability, and costs, which changed their stance only when presented with alternative facts. This behavior was designed to manipulate me into buying a new system from their sales team, making me fearful of doing business with them in the future. I'd advise others to avoid companies with aggressive sales teams and fancy trucks – instead, opt for local, honest mom-and-pop shops that prioritize transparency and customer satisfaction. -
Had a fantastic experience with Residential. They replaced our air and heating system right on schedule and stayed within budget. Given our hillside location, the installation was more complex, but their team tackled it without hesitation. Having them maintain our previous system for years has paid off now that the new system is operational just in time for winter - a huge improvement. A shout-out to David, Andrew, Matt, Jessie, Nick, and Noah, especially Noah who did an excellent job painting the conduit to match the house paint.

I had a decent start with this company when I encountered an issue with my furnace, and they responded quickly. The rep who came out was very courteous and knowledgeable.
When shopping around for air conditioning, it seemed tough to compare Residential's offer with others that visited for estimates. However, Nick was thorough and honest in his assessment. His professionalism continued throughout the installation process, where the crew showed attention to detail. They even followed up with a rep to help pass the city inspection. Overall, I'm impressed with my experience and will likely choose Residential for all my HVAC needs going forward. -
A home AC's thermostat died during the last heatwave, with temps in the 90s. I'd previously used Residential Heating and Air, where technician Timo was great, so I called them back. The owner, Cathy Haire, got back to me and walked me through how to reset our thermostat - a lifesaver. Top-notch customer service! We can't recommend this company enough, they do fantastic work and genuinely care about their customers.

I recently had a positive interaction with this company after initially contacting them about an issue. They responded promptly and professionally, providing a quick evaluation of the problem. The owner, service manager, and technician all contributed to addressing my concerns. However, during follow-up attempts to schedule a start date and estimated timeframe for resolution, I was met with a lack of response. It turned out that missed messages had been sent between the customer service representative and the service technician. Despite this, the owner offered reasonable solutions, which I appreciate. Unfortunately, the delayed response ultimately led me to choose another company over this one.

They quoted $500 upfront for parts and labor on a 15-minute job, citing high part costs. However, once work began, the price per piece dropped to $20. The issue lies in lack of transparency about pricing. While companies need to be profitable, honesty is essential, especially when it comes to rates. Despite having purchased an AC system from them and multiple maintenance services, I won't return.

We recently hired Residential Heating & Air Conditioning to replace our ancient furnace with a heat pump, allowing us to enjoy safer and more efficient heating, as well as reliable cooling in the summer.
Their initial quote was fair, and they made the process straightforward. Their team (Abel, Ray, Nick, Noah, Tyler) consistently arrived within their promised time frame, leaving our property tidy throughout the job. The installation met all their commitments without any surprise extras.
Although I'm not an expert in HVAC, the quality of their work seems high, and we had no issues with the city permit inspection. We also appreciated their follow-through on minor adjustments after the installation was complete.
This winter has been unusually harsh, but our new system has performed admirably, keeping our poorly insulated home warm. I'm looking forward to a more comfortable summer ahead! -
We were impressed with our experience with Residential Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. Their installation of a Mitsubishi ducted heat pump and upgrade to a rigid duct system on our first floor was seamless. Lead consultant Tyler Shook stood out for his clear communication and professionalism throughout the project. The entire team demonstrated punctuality, expertise, and a friendly demeanor - a truly exceptional experience.
We selected the Mitsubishi ducted heat pump because of its compatibility with our solar panels and Powerwalls, allowing us to harness stored energy to efficiently cool and heat our home. The system has been a revelation in terms of comfort and energy savings. I wholeheartedly endorse Residential Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. for their outstanding service and expertise. -

I've used this team twice now - once for a mini split installation on our ADU and again for maintenance on my older main unit. The work done is top-notch, and I'm thoroughly impressed with the communication during the job, as well as their transparency about costs and progress.
The most recent technician, Jason Hood, was exceptional (highly recommended). He not only got our AC up and running after it had been neglected for years but also took the time to explain everything in detail. He walked me through my options and made sure I understood what would work best for my family. It's clear he genuinely cares about customer satisfaction.
This company has earned a long-term customer in me, and I've already signed up for their annual service plan. -
I've got them on speed dial after they came through for me last time. Brandon showed up, no fuss, professional job done. Turns out, some pesky squirrels had gotten into the wires and blown a fuse. He fixed it quick and didn't sugarcoat anything - he checked the whole system and let me know that the fan motor was running at max amp draw, but still working fine. No hard sell or upsell, just a straight shooter. Now they're my go-to for any repairs, no question.

I recently had a service call from Jason with Residential Heating and Air Conditioning. I needed some HEPA filters replaced in my garage and attic units, as well as a furnace inspection on both furnaces.
Jason took care of all the requested work, including replacing the filters and inspecting the furnaces. He also did a thorough cleaning of our dryer vent, which included vacuuming behind the dryer and the floor to tidy up any mess. Additionally, he cleaned out the opening from the wall to the outside that had previously been neglected.
What impressed me most was Jason's attention to detail and commitment to transparency. Before doing the work, he took photos of everything, including the old parts and new ones, which he later shared with my husband and me. This showed us exactly what he did and what needed to be done, making it easy for us to understand.
Jason is not only competent but also friendly and personable. He takes the time to explain things clearly, which made a big difference in my experience. I'm grateful that Jason came out to our house and did such a great job. Based on his professionalism and excellent customer service, I think Residential Heating & A/C is lucky to have him on their team, and we're lucky he chose us as customers!
