I called Robert after a piss-poor repair job went array. I was hesitant to trust anyone else. Robert did a repair to the siding on my house a few years ago and did a fantastic job so I knew that I could trust him to do a good job again. Robert fixed my leaky faucet and identified the root issue was with my garbage disposal. I am definitely a satisfied customer and happy to have waited for a contractor whom I can trust.

Robert is a skillful and professional contractor. He calmly walked us through our partial kitchen remodel. He located an adapter kit when the overhead range vent we selected wouldn't fit the low ceiling. He's a master of dry wall repair, can't tell the old from the new. His plumbing and electrical skills are flawless. We love all the updates to the condo and will definitely be calling him again for our next project. Thanks Robert, you made what could have been a very stressful remodel an enjoyable experience.

Robert came out to my house a did a great job remodeling our office into a bedroom for our in-laws. He really took care to make sure the new closet matched our existing closets in just about every way possible. The other thing I noticed was the time and attention he paid to overbuilding everything to be strong. We are really happy that we hired him!

I contacted Robert after the purchase of my first home. The home was built in 1947, and was in need of some updates and TLC. I contracted him to install a new kitchen, update the shower in the bathroom, replace the living room ceiling, install ceiling fans and light fixtures, and paint the entire house inside and out. Robert is a consummate professional. The work came in on time and within budget. He pointed out a few things that I would have overlooked, and I was grateful he caught and repaired them before they became an issue down the road. His assistant Josh handled the painting duties, and his skills are impeccable. Both of them arrived early in the morning, and were extremely pleasant and professional. Robert takes an extreme amount of pride in his work, as does Josh, and the results were breathtaking. The home has been transformed into the dream home that I have always wanted. You could do no better than to have Robert as your contractor, and I look forward to doing more projects with him in the future.

Robert just finished remodeling a kitchen, bathroom, replaced windows and followed up after a new air conditioning install in a property we have had in the family for quite awhile. I heartily recommend him and his work. He is everything you want a contractor to be; knowledgeable, competent, on time, and has a quiet pride in doing things right the first time. His estimates were very good and his commitment to the client and the job are quite refreshing. I will gladly use him again and have already recommended him to a friend.

Robert Calvo did an absolutely first class job installing our new front door. This can be a tricky process, requiring someone who is careful and meticulous at every step, as installing a new front door is the marrying of a new product in an existing home, with existing interior and exterior trim. Robert was perfect for the job, beginning by measuring everything several times, and very carefully taking off all the old trim so as not to damage anything. Once the door was in, he had to do some customization on the hardware, as the deadbolt and front handle were manufactured by a different company than the door itself. Robert creatively solved all of these issues, and made it all work perfectly together. I would definitely hire him again, and recommend him to anyone who needs a detail-oriented contractor for their home repair/improvement projects.

I was referred to Robert by a Painter that was getting ready to prep my house for painting. Robert replaced all of the under eves woodwork before the painting and did an excellent job for a very reasonable price. Attention to detail was evident wherever you looked at his work. After that I had Robert remove some in-wall gas heaters and patch up the drywall. When I saw the drywall work I could not even tell that any drywall work had been done, he had matched the existing texture perfectly. I then had Robert do some siding work with Hardy Board. Again the job turned out perfect. I was very busy and I had Robert come by to replace an aging circuit breaker. He then replaced an old single pane window for me and he cut it in so perfectly that you could not tell it was a new window, it looked like it was part of the house. I did not have time to finish putting a new dishwasher in and Robert was able to get the job done in very little time. He then hung a screen door for me which turned out looking great. Robert gets his work done when promised and always will tell you up front exactly what it will take to do the job. I would highly recommend his work, and if you want someone who will pay attention to details, Robert is the person to call.

Robert and his crew is very experienced,  detailed and hard working.   I hired them to do dryrot repairs before having my house painted.   I am very particular on how I want things.  My Grandfather and Uncle where homebuilders and so I know the difference between a good and bad job.  This is tough for less experienced and knowledgeable professionals,  but this did not phase them.  We walked the job and went over everything in detail and he provided a very competitive bid.  During the job they ended up finding more dryrot then initially expected,  but he just got it done, and didnt "nickel and dime" me.  He was also honest enough to admit he broke one of my tiles while on the roof and offered to fix it and even noted some other broken tiles in other places that he took care of for me as well- no charge.  While I did not expect it he even offered to drive 40 minutes away to pick up the exact lightweight tiles from the manufacturer.  He also worked very well with my painters to make sure everything was caulked and prepped property to ensure a long lasting product.  My home feels like new again.  Thanks guys you went above and beyond.  It was almost like I hired a good friend to work on my home.

Mr. Calvo does absolutely fantastic work. We asked him to appraise the handyman-mess that was the kitchen we inherited with our new house (complete with peel & stick backsplash). He gave us a bid that was more than fair, did the work well, and was an absolute professional. Recently we also had an issue with our primary bath and once again he came to our rescue. I highly recommend Mr. Calvo for any job big or small.

We hired Robert for a remodel we did on our living room, which included a fireplace and replacing floors and lighting. His work is always done well and he is a trustworthy contractor. We wouldn't go with anyone else.

Robert came through on a residential addition that I couldn't finish after a shoulder injury. He literally had to pick up the pieces of where I left off and finish the project. Robert did the trim and baseboards, flooring, interior painting, cabinet painting and hardware and door assembly, lights, plumbing and fixtures and exterior stair fixes called by the building inspector, I'm sure I'm missing something. Robert did it all and he did it on time, the right way (even correcting some of my shoddy work), showed up every day and worked until the project was completed. He even showed up to the final inspection to make sure nothing was left undone. He came through in a clutch situation and I am forever grateful.

Robert is that rare contractor that does what he says he'll do and charges what he says he'll charge. We have a 60 year old house so there are always surprises when you start opening up walls, but Robert's calm demeanor and knack for solving problems kept the stress to a minimum. We're really happy with how the kitchen turned out and we'd happily work with him again.

He graciously showed up and did an amazing job creating a brand new, and lovely, bathroom for us. We have nothing but praises for the quality of design and work shown in his impeccable craftsmanship. I had a great experience with Robert (and his helper, Mike). Robert installed new flooring throughout my house, new baseboards, painted the interior, installed new kitchen and bathroom cabinets, sinks and faucets. He also installed new kitchen appliances, back splash and all new interior doors. He was professional, always punctual, great attention to detail, takes pride in his work and made sure I was completely satisfied. He kept me informed each step of the way, was well organized and always left things clean and tidy at the end of each day. We had our approx. 140 sf kitchen remodeled in the summer of 2022. This project included a full tear out down to the studs, and we brought in all new flooring, cabinets, counters, plumbing, appliances, trim and molding, paint, lighting/electrical, and even had to replace two exterior windows with shorter ones to accommodate new counters. We contacted Robert Calvo to give us a quote and I was pleasantly surprised that his quote was very reasonable.

Overall, he did fantastic work. He was on time in the mornings and he worked full days diligently. He completed the project in roughly the time that he originally estimated (there were some supplier delays that weren’t his fault). He even went out of his way to work around our schedule when he came back to the job a couple months later to install the last pieces that were significantly delayed, and he didn’t even think to charge us extra for it.

He provided constructive feedback throughout the design and construction process so we could make the most educated decisions about how to design the layout, what materials to use, and more. He welcomed our questions throughout the process and was eager to accommodate some of our pickier requests without asking for change orders. He was very communicative and always made sure we were happy with the way things were looking as it came along.

While he was working in our home, he was also very courteous and did everything I’d expect to make sure the dust and mess never migrated to other parts of the house. He made sure to cause as little interruption to our already interrupted lives as he could. Overall, we could not be happier with our experience and with how the kitchen turned out in the end. I would highly recommend Robert as a general contractor for any home remodel.
