Amit arrived on time with a great smile and energy. I explained my issue of not finding a leak on our property. Amit gathered some information, checked our meter and then we began walking the property. I assured him that we had checked every spigot, toilet and sink. Amit assured me that he just wanted to double check and of course found not just one, but two running toilets. After shutting down the culprits, Amit ran a couple more test to ensure they were the problem including checking the meter again. Not our finest moment, but in the words of Amit “ finding the little issue beats finding a major problem”. I’d use Sherlock Leak Detection again in a heartbeat (I just hope I never have to)

Lol, I assumed from all his experiences he already knew the most likely source from the beginning. So I found his bedside manner better than Sherlock Holmes.

The cause of our leak was quite rudimentary in the end. I still had my other concerns and I couldn’t pinpoint the leak myself even though it was right in front of me. It wasn’t critical. We are getting a plumber to do the easy fix along with other home improvements we already had in mind. I wish we had a more complex house or bigger problem to evaluate our experience against the one star reviewers.

I guess the point is I thought Ron’s flat rate was appropriate. I prefer it to getting a plumber involved. Now those experiences have not been positive, one plumber doing the water heater came up with a story that he also saw a leak under the house. I ignored him, but it did concern me. So when I called Ron, I was concerned that was the leak or from the new plumbing tapped off our house going to the recently constructed ADU in back.

So at his rate he saved me from potentially being swindled, pointlessly crawling under the house, and he verify our new piping was holding up. I learned a lot as well, so for even my simple request I had no complaints on the cost. Great experience

Never have I experienced such an unprofessional company in all my experience. These guys came out and were supposed to detect a water leak in our kitchen. They spent 30 min and charged 300 dollars to mark every pipe incorrectly. They marked the hot water line as a cold water line and where they said the leak was completely incorrect. After tearing up the floors and breaking the foundation the plumber found that the leak was in a different area that they didn't even mark as having a pipe in and going in a completely different direction. They had to widen the whole remove more of the floor and break more of the foundation to access the pipe. Not only did Sherlock leak detectors not detect the leak properly. When I called the owner to explain what happened and understandably get my money back since they failed completely. He was condescending and said that it's not their fault they couldn't find the pipe, that they were close enough in discovering it and didn't even care that his company messed up a job and cost us thousands extra because we had to re-dig. I will be bringing this company up with the better business bureaus. I highly recommended everybody stay away from this company. It's sad to see that a company that supposedly has good reviews won't stand behind their job and correct their mistakes.

Sherlock is everything you want in a company - professional, timely, pleasant and just plain great at at their job! My leak was hard to find (under the slab in the garage under a mountain of junk) but Amit didn't give up until he found it. Highly, highly recommend!
