We had our 9 Washingtonia (fan palms) trimmed and 3 in the front skinned - night and day improvement. They thinned and trimmed multiple clumps of giant bird-of-paradise and reduced a giant ficus to the perfect size. The crew protected more fragile plants and cleaned up perfectly; and even got some small, floating debris out of the pool. We’ve used Higuera Tree Care for years. Always good pricing and the work exceeds expectations.

I needed a stump removed to put up a new fence plus some tree trimming. After Higuera Tree Care finished the job you can't even tell there was a stump. I wanted the tree trimmed in half and that was done too. The best part was how clean they left the area after all the trimming was done. I was really impressed with their work and cost was good too. Hernan is a wonderful, knowledgeable arborist and person, and Higuera Trees will trim your trees the way you want them. Originally I would tell Hernan what branches I wanted cut and what I didn’t. He graciously accepted my requests & would then instruct his very capable crew, who carry out his instructions to the letter. Here I must say that the crew seems to know what they are doing, especially the head trimmer. I’ve learned from Hernan, because he willingly shares his knowledge, explaining why it would be beneficial to the tree to trim it in ways I hadn’t thought of.

Nowadays, since I live in a different city than the house I grew up in, I trust Hernan and his crew to trim the trees the way he knows I like them. This is a big deal for me, because my own father was an expert tree trimmer who owned his own gardening landscaping company, and these trees were planted by him. Hernan and his crew know how to lace out a tree, which appears to be a vanishing art. The crew also thoroughly cleans up at the end of each job—another lost practice!

We were in need of a tree service to trim 4 of our queen palms that are on an upper hill of our property.

After some research, reading reviews , and getting quotes from 3 local tree service companies, we made the right choice to go with Higuera Tree Service.

They were quick to respond with my call requesting a quote. It was important to know we were protected and requested proof of current insurance. Carla text me over a copy of their insurance policy. Their prices were fair, and though we’re are on a fixed income and didn’t want to pay extra to have the trimmings hauled away, they did include a military discount for my retired navy husband.
Carla was able to put us on the schedule a few days later. The workers arrived earlier than expected but that was fine for us.

The workers carefully brought all the trimmings down the hill and piled them up per my request. They were very thorough in their cleanup. They made sure the trees were trimmed to my liking. They were efficient, hard working, respectful guys.
The communication from start to finish was amazing. We will definitely use Higuera next time for our tree service needs. They treated us as a valued customer.

This is a long overdue review as Higuera Tree Care has been taking care of my tree trimming and removal needs for many years, most recently tree trimming. After their first visit over a decade ago, I knew they would always be my first choice. They’re very quick to come out and provide an estimate and quick to schedule. They’re very professional and they listen, offer opinions and more information as asked. From the first step in scheduling with Karla (sorry if I misspelled that) to the end, the team here is wonderful.

Very professional, great attention to detail. On time and courteous. All trees trimmed and cleaned up. Pictures don’t show the branches on the roof, ivy all over the palm tree or the huge bunches of palm seeds ready to fall and create a mess! Excellent work. Have used them before and will call them again. Highly recommend them.

A round of applause for a professional tree trimming job done by Joel’s Tree Service. Residential San Carlos home with a steep hillside and several large eucalyptus trees. Joel team arrived on-time, covered power lines and path way, safely removed large overhanging branches from crushing property and cleared all debris. The entire job was complete in 6.5 hours.

Joel’s tree service did a great job in trimming/pruning large pine trees on my backyard hill. They also removed a palm tree. They arrived on time, were friendly, cleaned up well, and got the job done. I will definitely be using them again.
