We needed a new HVAC system and water heater. The representative that came to the house was extremely helpful with the process. The entire staff at Shaw's Home Comfort was wonderful. They all were pleasant, and polite as well as focused on making sure their portion was completed on time. Thank you Shaw's Home Comfort for a wonderful experience.

Efficient Diagnosis, Quality Work, Room for Improvement in Customer Service

Shaw’s AC & Heating recently fixed my Lennox AC system, and overall, the experience was positive. They came out and diagnosed the issue in under 10 minutes — it turned out to be a freon leak in my 4-year-old unit. The technician, Mike, called me the next day with an estimate of $3,500 to fix it. I’m not a service professional, so I can’t really speak to whether that price is high or fair — I’ll leave that up to you, the reader.

Mike came back the following week and did the work professionally. The unit is now running properly, and it seems like the job was done right. I also received a 20% discount by enrolling in their Penguin Priority Club, so there are definitely options to save a bit if you're looking to cut costs.

One area where they could improve is customer service. Communication could have been smoother throughout the process. Still, the diagnosis was fast, the fix was effective, and the technician was knowledgeable.

Would I recommend them? Yes — but with the note that they could polish the overall customer experience.

Erik Hansen did an amazing job replacing my 30 year old water heater. What started as a check up turned into an eye opener. It was clogged with calcium and wouldn’t drain. He was able to work in the small closet it was in. He replaced the water inlet valve that was leaking and the gas line. He was very thorough to make sure everything was connected and working. Andy at Shaw's Home Comfort was wonderful, knowledgeable, respectful and provided me information that the other heating companies didn't. Another company came out and said I needed $2,300 worth of work and Andy did the real work to show me that my control board was not the problem. When I asked him why he thought the other company told me otherwise, he shrugged and said, " Maybe they just didn't know what they were doing." Well, Shaw's has hired a great young man to work for them and I appreciated that he didn't just try to make quick money off of me.

Sure, the radio commercial sounds folksy, and they advertise to fix your old units rather than replace. That's inaccurate. They do not. What a waste of time. (30 year old trailer home furnace) They wanted 1,000 to change a 27.00 and a 13.00 part that was a 20 min job... Nope. The unit was old, and they said there was going to be no warranty on the work. With that, and the stupid expensive estimate, that was loud and clear that they did not want to deal with my issues.
