Reviews of local pros in Clovis, California

BE AWARE OF EXTREME OVERPRICING!

I found California Turf and Landscape through Angie’s List and was honestly shocked by their estimate.

They quoted us $6,669 for a very small landscaping job around our pool. Our backyard is minimal, and there was very little actual work to be done. A huge portion of that quote—over $5,000—was for labor, which they claimed could be completed in half a day.

The price didn’t sit right with me, so I did my homework.

I went directly to the sources for the materials (rock, sod, mulch), and the total cost came in under $1,000. California Turf and Landscape marked those materials up dramatically. I also got a second opinion from another licensed professional, who quoted us $1,950 total and flat-out said the original quote from California Turf and Landscape was wildly inflated. This $1950 quote included sprinklers, concrete, mulch and sod install. As long as we buy the materials ourselves, that helped the cost go down.

California Turf and Landscape will target naive home owners and try to milk them for as much money as possible!

I’m extremely glad I shopped around, because this felt like a blatant attempt to overcharge—especially on labor—for a straightforward, small-scale job.

If you’re a homeowner on a budget, I strongly recommend getting multiple quotes before even considering this company. If money is no object to you, fine. But if you care about fair pricing and transparency, look elsewhere.

Castone Roofing and Construction did an amazing job helping me remodel my home. My home was elevated aesthetically thanks to their impeccable work and willingness to meet my discriminatory tastes. Five stars!

I hired Castone roofing to redo my Dad’s bathroom. The bathroom is amazing! My Dad is very pleased with the job and they did in a timely manner. Very professional. I would absolutely recommend this company!!

The roofing job they performed for me was outstanding. I searched for a company that would address my home-improvement needs at an affordable price. I found it in Castone. I highly recommend this company for their attention to detail and excellent customer service.

After shopping around and going through several consultations with different companies, we decided to go with Castone for their professionalism and affordability. My mother-in-law’s house needed a facelift and Castone did an amazing job!!! Their care, expertise, and service is second to none. I highly recommend Castone to anyone who has roofing and/or construction needs.

I recently remodeled my kitchen, into my dream kitchen. I am beyond pleased with the outcome Thanks to Castone Roofing and Construction They help guide me through a very difficult process. We had our balcony repaired, the job was on time, repairs/work were great. We found out over few months the materials did not hold, causing leaks. When we reached back, it was great service, the guys came back, inspected and redid all the needed work and repair and corrected the leaking at no extra cost. So far the balcony has held through the rains. Over excellent service, on time, professional. All the constructions folks were professional, on time and got the work done as scheduled.
I would recommend them highly and use their services for additional projects.

The worst craftsmanship ever!! Bought a house with a brand new roof from these guys and the roof leaked (everywhere) within less than 2 years. And what even worse is when we tried to talk to the company we get ghosted and hear nothing back super unproffesional it like bro there water coming into my bed room! stay far away from this company and just hire Shelton.

Over all, the work performed was very well done. There was one small detail that I called to complain about and it was taken care of in a very prompt and professional way. I would definitely recommend you contact them for your home repairs or upgrades.

Fantastic company! We’ve used them multiple times for different projects and they have always taken great care of us in a timely manner. They are now our main contractors that we use for any projects we need done at our home.

The roofing crew was professional, timely and cleaned up every last nail when they tore the old roof off. New roof looks great they did a 50 year comp shingle, added vents new flashing and drip edge to bring me up to code and i haven’t had a single leak issue!

Roofing is such a big expense and a lot of work. But I’ve never been so impressed. During the process they were clean and courteous. I almost never knew they were there. Not once did I have to worry about my yard or home. They stand by their word and it was worth every dime. In our world today you can’t find better. Thank you

Very happy with the job they did Bryce was very helpful they even replaced facia and ordered match paint. I would definitely recommend them to any of my friends and family

Bryce came over to give me extimate, said he would have it in by end of week, 20 days later still hasn't given me quote and is screening my phone calls and we he text back he doesn't recall anything that we talked about or agreed upon, if your not competent enough to do job or just don't want to do it then be professional and say it, wish I could give this -5 stars , my 2 yr old makes more sense then him.

I just renovated my patio and a new porch. The work team is very professional and very friendly. Super clean, and cleaned at the end of each day. The management was always quick to address any concerns I had, which I really appreciate. I will totally call you again for my future projects and remodeling I recommend the company totally they are very professional.

The four man crew they sent out to do our fence, led by Gustavo, did a great job. They took their time to do quality work. They were communicative, skilled, and clean. The price was fair and the job was done right. I would recommend them for any kind of work you need done.
