I have been having issues with gophers and moles for a number of years and finally reached out to Gingrich Horticulture for help. They came out within one day and trapped a gopher on the first try. The provide markers and when I saw some other activity, I marked it with one of their flags. Again, they came out within a week and caught that one as well. I am now using their service monthly as it is nice to enjoy beautiful flowers and plants again. I highly recommend them for the prompt and efficient service. They are a pleasure to work with and very knowledgeable on how to approach the critter issues.

I am so grateful for the years of service from these professionals. I have a large yard and could not have cared for it without the advice and service of this great team. At almost an acre of beautiful trees, plants and cottage garden along with a lawn, they sprayed for aphids, powdery mildew, took care of the grubs to keep the raccoon's from digging up my yard, while I watched my neighbors get torn up. They advised on my trees and fertilized and kept me abreast of all the happenings to have my yard looking tip top all year! If you want the best for your yard, use this team of professionals. I've used Gingrich Gopher Team to help manage critters in my yard and have been happy with the service. Recently, I reached out to the horticultural folks, and they set me up on a tree/shrub/ground cover program. Gingrich responded within 24 hrs to evaluate and provide extermination service for Voles in my backyard lawn (had 54 Vole tunnels exposed in lawn). Gingrich representative explained his findings and applied proper extermination materials. Has been 9 days and seems as if Voles have been eliminated. Great service and follow up. Service costs are very reasonable based upon the amount to damage caused by the Voles. Ron

I hired Gingrich to get the moles / gophers out of my lawn. On their first trip out to examine the situation they found the mounds and holes and placed traps. Sure enough, they caught a gopher and the problem is solved. I am grateful for their professional skills and helpful attitude.

Very easy to set up, quick phone call and I had someone come in the same day I called which was pretty cool! They send you a text with tracking info so you can see a real time update of the tech. They came out did an inspection set two traps, and caught a gopher within 3 days. It was quick and easy and the techs were easy to talk to, even the customer service text messages, they respond quickly if you have a schedule problem. Will use them again

Great service and will happily use again! The fellow who came out took the time to explain gopher behavior and reassured me the problem was more manageable than I was expecting. He came and checked things out without needing to disturb us and the gophers were gone in just a few days. Also, very quick responses from their office. Great job!

I hired this Contractor about two weeks ago to hopefully, remediate the identified Gopher & Hole in my backyard. This is the first time we had this issue in the 39 years I lived in my home! Over the course of two weeks, I have had serious scheduling issues with this Contractor. My family and I had to cancel medical appointments, commitments, and events that were scheduled week and months in advance in order to accommodate the visit of the Technician. Yesterday, 04/23/2026, my wife was waiting and expecting the Technician to arrive at our home. My wife was at home the entire day in anticipation of the Technician to arrive. I received two text messages of the Technician's arrival (the day prior and the day it was scheduled) and we were ready. The Technician never showed up. However, I received an E-Mail message that the Technician made a visit to my home but did not complete the service because the side fence door was locked. We left the side gate door unlocked (there was an unlocked lock on the door hardware). The Technician never rang the doorbell or knock on our front door, if he arrived. Due to this inconvenience, I cancelled the service and went with another Pest Control Contractor specializing in Gopher Holes who is willing to work with my family, accommodate our schedules, and communicate with us. Their rates were much, much better, reasonable, and doable. We would not do business with this Contractor if anyone anticipates scheduling challenges and issues (and rate differences that I have now discovered). No one should experience what my family went through. The lesson learned here: Shop around and ask the right questions for the best Pest Control Contractor to meet your needs. Not all Pest Control Contractors are the same.

I have gone with Waraner several times for various tree trimming and stump removal projects. Recently had them thin out a monterey pine and remove mistletoe and dead branches from birch tree. All very well done and good clean-up afterwards too.

I'm not a customer, just an "innocent bystander". They were apparently hired as a subcontractor to trim a tree in front of a neighbor's house in Oakland. (They wouldn't tell me who the contractor was.) Their truck showed up bright and early (8:15 AM) on a Monday morning and double parked on our narrow residential street. My car was parked on the street in front of the neighbor's house, under the tree [a big magnolia that spread over the sidewalk and street].

They'd put up no prior notice of their work, or of the need for people to not park under the tree. Five minutes later, my neighbor shows up and asks me to move my car. At that point, there were no longer any parking spaces available on the street (it's just off College Ave., and "parked up" from 8 AM until 9 PM), so I had to come out in my slippers, move my care, and park a block and a half away. Perhaps needless to say, I was annoyed.

I called and left a message for the company. About an hour later, I got a call back from the owner, saying there had been a "miscommunication" between them and the contractor. Said it was "just a mistake." They admitted that if I hadn't been available to move my car, they would have had to drive their truck back to Walnut Creek and come again another day.

To my mind, this kind of "oops" is not something i'd like to see in a company I hired, and I sure won't call on them to work on trees on my family's property.

Dustin Waraner is a Bully and one of the rudest, self-righteous individuals I have ever dealt with as a previous Property Manager in Alamo! After a job he did on the property on Danville Blvd I called him about following up on his incomplete work and he literally started yelling at me and was unwilling to finish the job.
This was a few years ago but it needs to be said
and I would have no issue saying it to him in person!!!

I have Used the services of Waraner Tree Company multiple times. They have always been prompt, professional, and courteous. My husband and I have .33 acres of very overgrown land that Dustin and Kim have meticulously maintained over the last 4 years. You know how you can tell quality work?
