We met with Woolsey Construction to look at our options for building an ADU. They were incredibly supportive and educational every step of the way. Their team is interested and intentional in doing the right thing for the customer.

We suffered a sewage back up caused by another construction company and Mistakingly called Woolsey. Even though it was not his problem he sprang into action and contacted the engineer from the responsible company. If he hadn't taken the time, our flood would have been much worse and would have affected more of our neighborhood. I absolutely recommend Woolsey. They are good humans.

We worked with Woolsey Construction to build a granny flat using the new County pre-approved ADU plans. From start to finish, Luke and his team helped us feel comfortable with a big project. Clear communication, excellent workmanship, and the years of experience are what sets Woolsey Construction apart.

If you've tried building in California, you know how hard it is to find good contractors. We have a few additional renovations to do in the future and we're definitely going to work with them again.

Not all contractors/builders are equal! Have utilized a good number of high quality contractors/builders over the years and without question, the Woolsey team, top to bottom and from initial conversations through project sign off, are the best of the best. Completed the construction for the installation of a 4 stop elevator in a 140 year old home. Project started on time, completed as agreed and at the estimated budget...and unless you knew there was an elevator installed, you would NEVER be able to tell as the completed project mirrors the original home. Every step of the way the communication was perfect. For us, we greatly appreciated having the same team show up 'religiously' every day on time and ready to work and always paid attention to the small details such as cleaning up everyday before leaving the job site. 100% recommend and would/will definitely use them again.

My wife and I had Woolsey Construction add a second floor to our home and we are absolutely thrilled with the end result! They added two large bedrooms and a full bath and from start to finish, our project manager, Seth Woolsey, kept us up to date on the progress of our build. The construction crew from the framers to the painters were top notch and the quality of their work is unsurpassed in home remodeling and construction. In our opinion, Woolsey Construction is the absolute best in San Diego. They turned our vision into reality and did so on time and within our budget.

We recently had our 1,200-square-foot home renovated by Woolsey Construction and we couldn’t be happier with the results. If you know small, Clairemont homes - then you can picture what ours looked like "before." Essentially, they completely transformed our kitchen and main bathroom, turning our once cramped spaces into bright, open, and beautifully functional rooms.

The new kitchen is everything we hoped for — airy and full of natural light, with a gorgeous 9-foot island that’s become the heart of our home. It feels spacious and welcoming, perfect for family gatherings and everyday life.

The bathroom renovation was especially meaningful to us. Woolsey worked closely with us to make it fully accessible for our young daughter, who uses a wheelchair. Their team paid thoughtful attention to every detail, from layout and materials to safety and ease of use. The result is both practical and beautiful — we’re so grateful for their care and craftsmanship.

Some things I feel are worth mentioning: we, the homeowners, were very strict about our budget and also didn't have a particular design or aesthetic in mind - we simply wanted to stay on track with our money. This was our first time ever undergoing a renovation and we were very nervous about the cost and the length of time to get it done. Due to this, we often selected rather boring design elements that we felt were good choices because they fit the budget. An example of this was when we chose some pretty basic subway tiling for the bathroom, which was being transformed into a big, bright, open room with a giant roll-in shower. Aaron, our construction lead, gently suggested as an alternative to our tile choices, a striking patterned design for the floors and walls, which really elevated the very practical bathroom into a spa-like space.

In fact, I often deferred to Aaron about design choices, figuring with his experience and eye for detail, he would not go wrong in presenting options that were both functional and beautiful. I truly appreciated his insight and attention to detail during a stressful time. I could not be happier with the results of our renovation and I have learned a lot from the team about design, budgeting, timelines and expecations, which will serve me well in our next reno project.

Throughout the entire process, communication was clear, the team was professional and respectful, and the work was completed in record time. Shout outs to Robert, Jon and definitely Aaron, who were responsive, friendly and understanding throughout the process. We liked working with Woolsey so much, and the results of the reno, that we are working with them to build an ADU in our backyard.

Woolsey features incredible transformations and new builds on their social media and do amazing work, but even for someone with a modest budget and limited timeline like me, they took dated, dark and dingy rooms and transformed them into bright, airy, highly functional and stylish spaces. We give Woolsey Construction the highest recommendation. They are truly the gold standard of construction companies. We’ve worked with others in the past and our Woolsey team was in an entirely different league – they are top tier in quality, professionalism and ability to successfully solve problems. They bring the best combination of expertise, quality of work and clear communication. They were able to accomplish projects that other companies and G.C.’s said were completely "impossible."

Our project seemed straight-forward – a townhome remodel – but was fraught with repeated issues, including structural water leaks, inoperable ducting and multiple other fundamental problems related to the faulty original 2006 build (by a different builder). Our project lead, Aaron Rawls, was superb, and approached each issue with a positive, can-do attitude. Aaron told us during one particularly difficult moment; "there are no problems, only solutions," and this was certainly his creed. Aaron and the entire Woolsey team were always able to find solutions for us. They turned what could have been a terribly stressful project into a series of pivots and solutions – resulting in our beautiful, dream home. We recently completed a major remodel with Wayco Construction that included fully gutting and remodeling two bathrooms as well as updating our hallway, and we truly could not be happier with the outcome.
