They were great on the phone. Tech showed up though and it felt like he was out of his element. Used compressed air and a snake on the dishwasher hoses (uh!?!?) and then said it wasn't working because a part was missing. Never tried to run it or turn it on. Felt like a scam. Beware - hope my experience was not the norm.

I called Universal to check out my refrigerator that was not longer cooling.
Mike called me when he was on his way and was actually within the timeframe I was give which I thought was a great start! After spending alot of time looking at my fridge Mike told me that it could not be fixed. Rather than trying to "do things" to make it work on a temporary basis and cost me more money in the long run, Mike was honest and I really appreciated that. He was very friendly and helpful and even gave me advice on the type of refrigerator to buy. I would highly reccommend Universal and will call them again when I needd appliance service.

Mike was a stand up guy. He gave it to me straight exactly what was wrong with my fridge and how much it would cost to fix it. I've dealt other companies in the past and always felt like I couldn't 100% trust them. I had no reason to feel this way with Universal appliance from the initial call to the tech showing up. Alex was very professional, examined the dishwasher and diagnosed what part was needed. He had the part in his vehicle so I was very lucky the repair was made the same day. He was very courteous and I am happy to meet him in case any other appliances need repair!

My husband and I called Universal Appliance and Mike, understanding the urgency, rushed to our house within a few hours to fix the machine. YOU SHOULD USE THIS COMPANY. Our washing machine broke with clothes and water in it. We called Lex Appliance Repair and Julia immediately answered. It was 4th of July and Fred called back even though he was out with his family for the holiday. He agreed to come the next day and showed up on time with the proper part. He was very respectful of our "no shoe" house and remembered to take the booties off every time he had to go to his car to get something and to put them back on inside!

The challenge began with a stripped screw and made the job take hours longer than he anticipated. He never lost his patience or perseverance to solve the problem. The next challenge arose when he discovered a crack in the plastic. Instead of not telling us or taking a short cut, he spent the time he needed to get it done correctly.

In addition, he kept his original quote even though it took much longer than expected. We've used a lot of repair folks over the past several decades and I'm impressed with this company. We will be using them again!

We were having issues with our freezer and wanted to get an in-wall AC unit cleaned and serviced. Fred and Eugene came out and were able to complete both services at the same time. They were both patient, thorough, and addressed all our questions and concerns, explaining the issues and solutions and giving recommendations for ongoing service so we don’t run into similar issues in the future.
