I hired System Pavers for my driveway and walkway and they did not disappoint(!) not just on the results but also the customer service! I am so glad I decided on them even though they were not the least expensive bid (but I’m a believer that you get what you pay for). What made the experience so pleasant and positive was the team we worked with, particularly our amazing Project Manager Darin and Design Consultant Pamela. I met with Pamela initially (design phase) then she handed it off to Darin (project phase). Not only were they super responsive but during the project Darin kept me apprised of every step and sent text updates and photos proactively. He really went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the results. There was a crew of about 2-4 guys working everyday except on weekends and when it rained. It took two weeks from demolition to completion (they probably could have finished in one week had it not rained so much). They kept the construction site clean, sweeping the debris on the street too, which I’m sure my neighbors appreciated as well.

The communication, the service, and the results are all 5 stars!!

I highly recommend System Pavers, specifically Darin and Pamela as they are on top of it and provide excellent customer service and ensure the paver work is done to your satisfaction!

One side note - if your project requires a permit with the county or city (most paver work does not but there could be some nuances like sidewalk or street use), the timing is really out of their control but once it's issued or they find a workaround, System Pavers moves fast!

System Pavers has been doing an exceptional job renovating my backyard, transforming it into a beautiful and functional outdoor space. The highlight is undoubtedly going to be the finished outdoor kitchen, which will become the focal point of our gatherings.

The design process was seamless and helpful; the team has been attentive to our requests and provided excellent suggestions to further enhance the space. The quality of materials and craftsmanship so far is absolutely evident, and the attention to detail is impressive. From the layout to the finishes, everything has been executed with precision and care. I highly recommend System Pavers for anyone looking to upgrade their outdoor spaces.

We needed our backyard to be a playground for our 50 lbs goldendoodle. He had torn up the grass and was running through the dirt planter beds. Jeremy and his crew demolished the old yard, redesigned and modernized the shape of the yard, replacing the mowing strip with a paver curb, the lawn with artificial turf and covered the dirt planter beds with landscape fabric and river rocks. Now our yard is certainly dog friendly and no more muddy feet. We couldn't be happier with the quality and the speed in which the time the project took from start to finish. We certainly appreciate the value provided and the financing offer.

From start to finish, System Pavers had exceeded our expectations! The design assistance and expertise helped create the perfect space for our home. The communication as the job proceeded kept us aware of what to expect and when to expect it. The workmanship was outstanding and the completion schedule was quick and efficient. We made an appointment after attending the Bay Area Home Show at the Santa Clara Convention Center. We met with Charstaan Mussman a week later and discussed what we envisioned. We looked through books of paver styles, colors, and layouts, while he did a quick draft and took measurements. Charstaan gave us space to discuss details when we needed it and was never pushy. Husband has an easier time to visualize these types of projects, while I need to see it in person and touch it. Charstaan offered to meet us at the office so we could see different colors and layouts. We appreciate that he went the extra mile to ensure I was comfortable with the decisions we were making before signing the contract.

We met with project manager Javier Rodriguez a few days prior to his crew starting so he could relay the information to the crew. On the first day, there were about 6 people to do the demolition of our driveway and walkways. As the project continued, there were 2-4 people on different days over the course of 6 business days. Javier communicated with us daily in person and with texts. If we had questions, he always responded promptly. When he was onsite, we would walk the area as he explained what was happening and the status. He included us in all decisions, no matter how minor. We were very well informed of different milestones throughout the project.

Laying out the driveway seemed a lot fast than the courtyard, but there was some miscommunication, and it probably added a day. The foreman, also named Javier, asked me about the layout of the pavers in the courtyard. Since we live on the inner side of a circle and our house is on the end, our yard has different angles to consider. He and another crew member had laid out the pavers and asked me to take a look at it. I told them that I wanted the pavers in the courtyard to line up to the pavers on the steps, and not the entry door landing. That evening, my husband and I looked at the pavers, which were about 90% laid out, and saw that it was not straight with the steps so informed project manager Javier. Project manager Javier came out to inspect the work and after 5-10 minutes of trying to explain myself, they finally understood, and the crew had to adjust all of the pavers. This taught me to communicate only with project manager Javier on the fine details. Personally, I felt bad having them redo their work, but not once did they express any negativity of having to do it again.

As mentioned above, we live in a circle so we had to play it by ear when the courtyard was being designed. The crew had to deal with the angle of our entry door landing, the side fence, the side of the house, the sidewalk, and the slope of our yard. We initially planned for two steps spaced out equally to the entry door landing, with the second step also leading to the small courtyard by turning left. After discussing it with foreman Javier, Project manager Javier presented us with another concept, which was similar, but would expand the space of the courtyard and it turned out fantastic. They also had to adjust how the steps would look.

There were a few other details that project manager Javier, foreman Javier, and the crew did in order to go the extra mile. They fixed our rainwater gutter drainpipe and sprinkler irrigation pipes and relocated sprinkler heads. A portion of our driveway had our children's handprints so they cut it out so we could save it. They dug out our rose bushes and moved it into pots that we provided.

Overall, we are VERY HAPPY that we went with System Pavers and LOVE the way it has elevated the look of our home. The cost was higher than we expected, but the quality and care they put into their work and the top-notch service of Charstaan, Javier R., Javier, and the rest of the crew just can't be beat. Such an overall positive experience! There is no buyer's remorse here! We highly recommend System Pavers and consider yourself blessed if you work with Charstaan and Javier.

Searched and found Black Diamond to update my mother in laws large front and back yard. Within 24 hours contacted by Vanessa to schedule a meeting at our home. We walked the yards, told her everything we wanted to do “ideally” to see pricing, then we worked back from there to “realistic”. She turned around a design and quote in about a week (big awkward shaped court ending backyard). Chose synthetic lawn in front with rock in planting area and paver lawn/yard border. Vanessa met me with my physically limited mother in law to walk the material yard, pick samples and recommendations. Chose materials, completed final plan/walk and from start of demo to finish was about 3weeks. Vanessa was proficient in design alternative options, communicative, flexible and efficient. It made the process smooth, easy and the finished product is better than expected. I highly recommend working with Black Diamond and Vanessa specifically on your home project.

We can’t praise Ricardo Garcia and his crew enough. Work had to be done on our pool at the same time as the paving. Ricardo coordinated the projects extremely well. He and his team went above & beyond what we expected, from replacing moving & replacing sprinkler heads & lines & cutting out large tree root. The finished project was amazing. We are beyond pleased. We would highly recommend them.

The whole System Pavers team is a joy to work with. From Dan, who iterated the design with us several times, to Darin and his whole crew. They are super responsive and we felt reassured throughout that our vision for the yard would be fully realized.

The job was done in a clean way. I was not happy with the representative with whom I signed the contract since she promised many things that didn't put in the contract. However, later working with Patrick and Octavio, they tried to accommodate my needs as far as they could and I am happy with the results.

The crew were quite friendly and even my neighbors were happy with them being courteous and nice.

I also believe that they did the job with a fair price.

We recently worked with System Pavers on our project, and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. Alec, our sales and design lead, did an excellent job with the design — it required very few changes, and he really understood what we were looking for.
During installation, we had a few expected challenges come up, but Adrian, our project manager, handled everything exceptionally well. He was always accommodating, proactive, and consistently communicated updates. Adrian checked in regularly, made sure we understood each step of the process, and kept the project moving even when other contractors caused delays. His professionalism and readiness to help really stood out.

We hired SP to replace our front sidewalk to create a wide, paved entryway. Jonathon was very helpful in the quote and design process and managing the change orders. Ricardo was the PM who managed the team. I really appreciated that he was very professional, easy to reach and flexible in managing the project, and addressing any issues and concerns as they came up. I was really impressed by the workers. Shout out to Alex who started the tear-out. He started first thing in the morning and worked diligently through the day, rain or shine. He always made sure the job site was tidy before leaving, including making sure the sidewalks were clean. There were many workers that came through to do their part. We have a small area where we wanted artificial grass with a “mow strip“. Erik, the design consultant came and scoped out the job and gave us what I believe is a fair bid.
Adrian and his stand-in Ryan (while Adrian was away for a few days) where responsive and seemed to genuinely care about the project and my satisfaction. We had minor hiccups but they stepped up and quickly made everything great.

We had a backyard renovation done for our patio and the side walk ways in the yard. The communication and coordination was very good with System Pavers. Our Project Manager, Octavio, was knowledgable and responsive whenever there were any questions or some re-work needed during the installation phase. 4 stars for the brand name, communication and the 25 years value or warranty they provide on the work. However, I feel installation team can improve their quality to ensure the number of revisits required in future. Overall had a good experience.
