Before I started this project I put about 60 hrs into researching the different type of pool designs, equipment, concrete variations around the pool, pool surface, pebbletech colors, etc. I spoke with 6 different leading companies in Fresno and set up appointments with all of them.

3 of the companies said it would be a month before they could come out and it seemed like they didn’t take me seriously when I told them I had a budget of 45-50k and what I wanted for my pool design. One of them never got back and the others emailed me pricing and although they were 10 percent lower they didn’t keep in contact with all my questions and never made an effort to come out to my home.

The other companies that came out gave me quotes within two weeks. One was about 20k over my budget and the other ended up to be really shady (I left a review on what happened ok their company google review page).

So I met with John with V.O pools in the middle of all that. Very easy and straightforward when talking to him. Took me out to a customers pool he was working on and after getting his pricing and seeing the quality in person I pulled the trigger. I pretty much copied that pool he showed me to about 75%. Just made some changes to suit my style.

John kept in constant communication the entire project and even when he wasn’t there the team of different contractors for the various parts of the install were polite and respectful of my property.

Project took about 35 days from the time he marked the pool outline with chalk to the time he filled it with water. It might not always be that fast for everyone as I’m sure it depends on different factors but he definitely pushed hard and met every deadline he set for us. Only had to be at the mercy of inspector at some points but that can’t be changed. With all the little things I kept changing, everything went off without a hitch. Never waited more than an hour to get a text back from him though out the whole project and trust me, I ask a lot of questions. I also have 4 dogs so communication with contractors working on my property was crucial. I couldn’t have had a better experience and am glad I did the research and went with VO pools.

Our pool came out exactly as we envisioned it, thanks to VO Pools. John was amazing to work with and heard all our requests from the getgo. He listened to everything we wanted and overperformed as far as I'm concerned. I've dealt with alot of contractors in my day and none as good as John.

What we really liked was how hands on he is, was here to answer all our questions & oversee every phase start to finish. Very detailed, very honest abd very nice to work with. It has been an absolute pleasure working with John of V.O. Pools! As the owner, he was hands on throughout the entire process. Constructing a swimming pool is quite an undertaking, but John’s introduction of the proposed project during the bidding and his communication throughout the entire project schedule made this all painless and easy to understand. John was provided with a few simple ideas for what we envisioned and he was able to produce a wonderful design, and he even incorporated space for a sport court that I had been thinking about. John was always in communication about the current phase and next phase of construction, and he takes tremendous pride in ensuring everything stays on schedule. He was always on site, whether it was early in the morning upon crew arrival or later in the evening to check out even the smallest details. And during a time when so many things have become difficult due to the pandemic (procuring materials, delayed shipping), John went above and beyond to secure equipment well in advance so our project didn’t get stalled - that is a special quality and service that is hard to find. Even after the project was completed, John still remained in contact to ensure everything was all good. We thank John and V.O. Ready to build a pool but not sure which company to hire? Look no further. V.O. Pools is efficient, professional and affordable. Our pool building process began in March as it started raining. John contracts with the best companies in the pool building business and had our pool complete in 6 weeks. His design was beautiful! We had great communication throughout the entire process which was essential for us since we have a big dog and our property is fenced with a gate. He patiently worked with us when we had questions or made minor changes to design. We already referred a few friends to V.O. Pools because he handled our project with integrity.

If you want a great designed pool at a great price.... VO pools is the one for you. John just finished our pool and it was done in 8 weeks exactly. Would have been done a week earlier but I had something come up and delayed the pool 1 week. John is onsite every step of the way and is available for questions anytime. He keeps you posted throughout the whole process. He has great ideas and his design had so many little extras that added so much character to the pool. If I could give him 10 stars I would. He helped me get great and quick financing. Like I said this is a great company and a great guy. You won't regret it. Simply the best. John got my pool done quickly, painlessly, and on time despite the insane weather we had this season. My friend who was/is having their pool built by Vineyard Pools and started BEFORE our build STILL just have a gunited hole in the ground and no pool. Mine is done and usable for the season. John perfectly scheduled around the pockets of good weather and got everything done with zero delays. He is amazing!

First off I loved the fact that I was able to deal with one person( the owner) from first initial meeting, design process, all the way through out the building process. John’s attention to detail is amazing, he listened to everything I wanted and designed a gorgeous pool for me. John was there every step of the way from dig day all the way to fill up day overseeing it all and making sure everything was correct. He was great at communicating with the me every step of the way and was always available to answer my call or return my call in a timely matter if needed. I highly recommend VO pools. It is obvious that the owner takes great pride in each and every pool he designs and builds and doesn’t just treat it as just another commission, his passion in building a beautiful pool was obvious in how he treated us and how he was always present. My pool was built in the time frame given and it never sat more than a couple days without someone at my house working on it. He made the process so easy, smooth and stress free.

John built our pool 6 years ago and til this day he still answers my calls and texts same day. He has referred me to some great people for different things and any issues I have he helps me find a solution. We used VO Pools for a pool build after hearing great reviews from people we know that have used him. We’ve heard a ton of horror stories from neighbors with other pool builders and we are so happy we went with VO pools. He’s quick, great at communicating, and just an overall great experience. Our pool was done in about 8 weeks and would have been sooner if we didn’t experience a Fresno heatwave for 10 days. The madera county inspectors also said that they never have any issues with VO pools and we made a good choice going with him. We will post pictures once we finish landscaping, but we highly recommend VO pools for your pool build.
