This place is plant heaven. You can inhale deeply and find a little peace in the concrete of Glendale. They have a huge variety of decorative plants as well as veggie starts. Seeds were reasonable, and if you miss the overpriced but beautiful decorations that OSH (rest in peace) carried - look no further. This is a lit like Orchard Supply but it carries less hardware items and more garden goods.service was friendly. Plants are well taken care of. Service is friendly.

The service here keeps us coming back! We get our fresh Christmas Trees from this location each year and the quality of the trees and service we receive are worth the trip. They typically get trees in the second to last week of November, and we call ahead.

Beautiful selection. Friendly staff a very inviting place. Been wondering what places to find ladybugs! They got them here :) they are very knowledgeable about their plants , and will order things for you ^_^ love it !

Decent selection and variety of plants here. A little on the small side though so can be a bit hit or miss during the busy times of the year (or during the transitions between seasons). Only real gripe: Wish they carried a larger selection of native plants. Staff is generally friendly and always looking to help or answer questions.

This place has the standard fare of plants, pot soil and mulch. However, they are expensive, especially their pots. Lowes, Home Depot have better prices.

Their customer service is first rate. Knowledgeable , friendly and helpful. It's just the prices that put me off.

Got three citrus trees here. All strong healthy and happy. No complaints other then my local ones not having them.

I usually visit for seedlings, potting soil and the like. But recently I took in a piece of a vine that has diabolically invaded my hillside, growing fast and taking over. The young man working on some plants was able to ID it for me, after online groups (on invasive plants) did not pan out. it was a great help, and I appreciate their going above and beyond (I did buy plants that day, lol).

Have purchased all shrubs, supplies, veggies/herbs, trees, and annuals and perennials at the Glendale store for 20+ years, and love this place. Well-run, well-stocked, knowledgeable, helpful, and will order if they're out of something you want that's in season. Great organic produce plants! And organic fertilizers, soils, etc., and bedding bark mulch. Love this place!

We love coming here because parking is easy. Staff has always been excellent. They also deliver so that was a great help when it came to getting 30 bags of micro bark mulch this year. It is worth the savings in water and keep the plants happy and the weeds at bay.

Through the years I have grown to love Armstrong. They have a good selection of healthy plants, wonderful ceramic mushrooms and very nice and helpful employees. Prices are fairly reasonable. I almost always find something I like there.

Amazing customer service. Eric was very helpful, he gave a lot of info on indoor and outdoor plant care. I can spend a whole day looking at the beautiful collection of plants they have. Its pricey but there is always someone to help you with your questions and suggest the best fertilizer for your plants. Thank you Eric.

Very knowledgeable staff and if someone does not know about the topic you seek, that person will find you the staff member who is practically the expert in that area. I also really enjoy the free gardening classes offered most weekends. You may ask any questions about your garden. I appreciate the assistance of taking my purchase to the car. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. I enjoy my time I spend there.

They charge a lot for plants. Most of the time they don't know what they have in stock. And it takes a long time to find someone to help you because it feels like 1 to 2 people work there at a time....but their shopping carts are cute. And they do have a large variety of plants for a chain business.

I like Armstrong in general. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to help you. Pasadena and Glendale locations are particularly nice. The prices are fair and for the quality you receive better than bigger chains.

I went in today looking to repot my fern and ended up purchasing a bunch of plants. Jackie was incredibly attentive, kind and helpful. This is a beautiful spot to get your plants and accessories and the employees are SO nice!!! Highly recommend!

If you ever ended up going to Armstrong Garden Center on San Fernando road in Glendale, make sure to ask for Mark. He is the nicest and most knowledgeable person I have ever met. Last week I had to buy several plants from light loving to medium and no light for my house. Mark helped me pick the right plants and he even explained how to take care of them. Today I had to go to the same place for another plant for my front door and I was lucky to see Mark again. Even though he was getting ready to go home for the day, he helped me pick a beautiful Azalea plant. This is good customer service. Of course I am sure other employees will be most helpful, but for now I am sticking to Mark.

Nice selection, generally, the folks are always happy to help out. I have had trouble buying things that have been infested with pests. They have a good policy on larger plants, but don’t stand behind their smaller seedlings, and as they’re more expensive than other places, it’s worth being extra vigilant before you buy.

I was looking for a Sumo Mandarin tree and was able to get one here. Staff was really helpful, especially Jackie.
