Roger, the owner of R&D Tree service really cares about his clients and knows a lot about trees. He has taken care of all the trees on our property including palm trees, for over a decade. Tony and his team did an amazing job taking out two large trees and six smaller ones around our house. The two large trees were in a small area along the side of our house, impacting our foundation, and also growing up and around power lines. We found Safeway Tree Service through a friend who had had similar work done.

Tony is lovely, personable, and extremely passionate and knowledgeable about his work. He responds to voicemails within about a day. He came by for an estimate, easily identified trees and plants by sight, and gave advice on how to care for them, listening to what we needed and then working out the best way to get that done.

He and his crew arrived on time and got to work straight away-- literally 8:06 the branches were coming down! I had coordinated with our neighbors in advance, and the team was courteous and helpful in removing any branches that fell into their driveway (since the trees were very close to them, too!).

I honestly can't gush about the work they did enough! We were totally overwhelmed by the amount of cutting back that needed to be done, including to large weeds that had grown up. They removed all the trees, ground down into the stumps so we can start growing new plants in there, cleared everything away, including leaves that had already been there, cleared away other dead weeds, sent everything through the chipper-- everything exactly as outlined in the estimate. They truly went above and beyond in every possible area. Once they started work, they were self-sufficient. Tony asked my opinion on the trimming of a particular branch to make sure we got what we needed, then walked through everything with me at the end to make sure I felt taken care of-- that was it. I could get on with my workday inside.

Tony will absolutely be my first call any time I need help with my (remaining) trees, and I won't hesitate to recommend him to anyone who needs help with theirs. Truly a godsend, and a total delight.

Tony came out and suggested I wait to trim my pine tree instead of just pushing to do the job. I appreciated that. I had brush trimming that needed done and his crew came out as scheduled and did a great job. They have great equipment, licensed, insured and reasonable rates.

Safeway Tree Service removed two large pine trees from my next door neighbor’s yard. Because of the location, the trees needed to be removed by a climber, no cherry picker on this job. These guys knew what they were doing. I spent 13 yrs on the Tahoe NF, a Wildland firefighter and know chainsaw work, Safeway knows. They do a professional job. Had them up today to trim my Aussy willow, just a great job. I recommend them.

We hired Tony and his team to trim the trees in a block of nine houses. The team was professional, responsive and affordable. But most importantly, the work was excellent. A block of nine happy customers. We will use Safeway again for additional work!

I’m so glad we hired Safeway. They are extremely professional. We called them to remove a damaged tree. They showed up shortly before 8 AM, the scheduled time. The very first thing they did was cut down a huge (18” across, 25’ long?) limb that stretched over the street. With commuters and moms driving kids to school, the limb blocked the street. A crew was waiting, and had the street cleared in about two minutes—amazing! I thought it would take the full day to cut down the tree and grind the stump, but they were done in about 2 1/2 hours. It saved my ears, and my sanity. We’ve had lots of tree work done by various companies, this crew was the fastest and most professional I’ve worked with.

Tony and his crew removed 12 trees to my complete satisfaction, a terrific job! Space was a bit tight for them in the rear yard with fence & patio where they brought 11 down, the other one, a stout old Beachwood, was wedged in-between and over my house and neighbors and came down without issue :) These guys totally hit the mark and all went smoothly. If I had any trees remaining I would definitely engage Safeway Tree Service again. Northridge CA homeowner.

Tony and his crew did an amazing job removing some problematic trees from our yard. We hired him upon moving into a house that had some major tree issues. We had one tree in the front yard that was termite infested and about to fall down. The tree was MASSIVE in size and Tony and his crew were efficient and quick to remove the dead tree from our yard. He is prompt with his timing and he works quickly and efficiently. Removing a tree that size is not easy work but he removed it safely and hauled all the debris away. I highly recommend hiring Tony for all your tree services. He is reliable, kind, and takes pride in the work he does. I would definitely hire him again!

After receiving several bids to remove multiple trees from my property I chose to go with Safeway Tree Service. I could not have had a better experience. They had the best bid, great service, and left the property looking great. If I ever need any tree or landscaping services in the future I will reach out to them without hesitation. Tony and his team pruned our stand of thirteen bottle brush trees. They arrived on time, and did a wonderful job, The trees had not been properly trimmed in several years and when they left, the trees and yard looked good. Price was fair and we will happily use Safeway again. Very knowledgeable and professional. Recommend!

We needed 15 birch trees trim and thinned out and got bids from several companies. We chose Safeway because the bid was competitive and the customer service was great. The workers came on time and pleasant to work with. They did a great job and we will use them again next year. We recommend them highly.

I went to Safeway tree service for the second time. Great again. Tony followed up with me when it was the right season to trim my huge pine tree. They were quick, efficient, and had a reasonable price. They also chopped and saved left over fire wood for me. If you have trees to trim or remove just call. Tony always answers, is friendly, and provides a great service.

Tony and his team were wonderful to work with. I requested a quote and Tony came by the next day with to see what needed to be done and give us a price. The price was very reasonable and they completed the job the same week. They did an excellent job, they are my go to tree service now.

Wonderful experience with Safeway Tree Service and Tony. I have had the pleasure of having them out to do tree trimming, service, and removal. Each time they were responsive, on time, friendly, and very professional. They were able to quickly remove large palms and grind the stumps out. They were also able to remove very large branches there were hanging over my property/house from the neighbor’s trees, without needing to access the neighbor’s property or disturbing them. Pricing is very fair, and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again in the future.

Tony and his crew are the best! Tony is so kind and knowledgeable and gave me a very fair price to remove some very mature juniper bushes. They showed up on time and worked tirelessly to complete a big job in one day. They took great care to cover my pool and left the entire property transformed. So impressed with Tony . I called on a Sunday afternoon to get an estimate on tree branch removal. He was at my house within a half hour. We got in over our heads with the amount of debris we ended up with and he saved the day. He and his crew were there the next morning. His price was beyond fair they came and left within a half hour. Nice new equipment, professional, and Covid safe.Would definitely recommend .
