Travis Zack, our MVP Tree Care Specialist, has been amazing. He treated our new tree and took the time to answer all of my questions. He has a lot of knowledge and shared many pro tips. I feel confidant that he knows what he’s doing and that our tree is well maintained.

Great selection of plants staff super nice the place is really huge be prepared for a long walk or if you prefer the salesperson can take you in a golf kart and give you a more personalized tour.

Working in event planning, I deal with vendors every single day. Lacey at Moon Valley Nursery just set a whole new standard for customer service. I reached out about renting palm trees for an October fundraiser, not knowing the first thing about what would work for our space.

Within 10 minutes of our first inquiry call, she was already sending photos of inventory from all across their nursery. The next day? More photos from different angles, showing the actual size and scale of each tree. This woman understands that seeing is believing when you're planning an event.

She explained why certain palms would work better than others for our venue, got her manager involved same-day for delivery pricing, and had our quote ready faster than any vendor I've worked with. Most take days just to respond to an email.

What got me was how she actually took time to educate me about the different palm varieties. As a designer, I know aesthetics, but her knowledge about which trees would work best for the different areas of our event based on their characteristics was genuinely helpful. These insider details really matter.

I literally texted her that she's one of the best vendor reps we've EVER worked with. In this business, I usually spend half my time chasing people for basic info. With Lacey, everything just flowed. No stress, no delays, no confusion.

Moon Valley's event rental prices are super reasonable (who knew they even did rentals?), and their inventory is massive. But the real reason I'll be back? Lacey made a potentially complicated rental feel simple. If you need plants or event rentals, definitely ask for her. Your event will thank you.

The best botanic place I've ever been to in like 30-plus years. On a scale from 1 to 10, it's eleven. If you live in Irvine and have never been here you are missing a great experience. They don't even charge for entrance.

They have to think about guided tours and maybe partner with local schools or PTSA to make some kind of field trips.

The place is huge. I've seen it from the highway multiple times and finally decided to stop by. Worth it. If you go there with kids be mindful of the vehicles/trucks/tractors in the area. They slow down when they pass by but there is no pavement on the road so accidental small rocks could fly out of the wheels.

If you are careful and patient enough you can get close to some wildlife.

The crew is super kind and cool. I think the guy who showed us some things was Cody (sorry if I got your name wrong) and he was super helpful.

Matt at Moon Valley Nursery was fantastic! He knew exactly what we were looking for and used his vehicle to expedite our shopping needs. Thank you Matt!

My wife and I wanted a large tree in a pot for the front of our house in Dana Point CA. We went to Moon Valley Nursery in Irvine. We were masked and gloved and so were they. Joe Reyna helped us pick out a very nice Palo Verde tree and a pot to match. Joe was very helpful and professional and easy to work with. He made suggestions that were useful. Mike and his crew delivered and planted the tree. He helped us rotate some other 12 foot tall privacy trees that we purchased from Moon Valley about 10 years ago. They were also in pots and one side was against a wall. We rotate them once a year so they grow evenly. We were happy with Moon Valley 10 years ago and that is why we went back. Again we are completely satisfied and recommend them. They have the largest selection of trees I have ever seen. We also purchased some other plants and another pot. The tree is just beginning to show leaves and will have small yellow flowers soon.

We had (18) Podocarpus Fern Pines, (4) Indian Hawthornes and (1)Redbud Forest Pansy Tree planted and they all look great! Thanks to our designer Christopher and the planting crews guided by Cruz and Mike the whole process from selection to install went very well. We highly recommend Moon Valley Nurseries !!!

Had a long over due project delayed because of lack of creativity on where/how to start. Immediately upon driving up John ( Brazilian one, there's a few John's- I'm sure they're all efficient) drove up and showed me around, gave him pictures of what I was thinking and pointed out options. Within 10 min, he was drawing out where each plant should go/distance etc. I didn't have measurements of area- he google mapped it! Every rebuttal, he had an answer to, which is what I needed!! 15 min later, all plants purchased and I opted for next day self pick up, which was ready! Granted, I went w out the wife, but got this done, especially after visiting other nurseries where they just pitched me their designers !

Thank you to moon valley nurseries they were on time to plant my majestic Ash tree . Cruz and his crew were in and out and they did a great job

Bad customer service and terrible claims process!!! Be careful with your backyard, they broken my new tiles when they planting. And three months have passed without any compensation.
I purchased over $6000 plants from moon valley last year December. Now I have to say their prices are quite expensive and the service is not worth the price. I contacted Cody all the time. He gives me some suggestions, I appreciate that. Everything is fine before they come in to plant.
After plant, they screwed everything up. The foreman name Joel. His team broke my tile, I contacted Cody immediately and he told me they will pay me back within one or two weeks. But then is endless waiting.
3 months past, I keep asking for updates, He told me he and his manager contacted corporate office which located in Arizona and reminded them all the time. But nothing change. The repair bill is $170, I don’t think it is a big deal for them, and I don’t think that’s how they should handle it.
I don’t need this money for live but I believe if you make a mistake, you should take responsibility instead of running away from it. I am so disappointed with that.
If you already bought plants from them, be careful when they doing plant job.
I will continue to follow up the matter, I think I have to go to the office to solve the matter with them

I have just purchased a new tree from Moon Valley Nurseries. The service team did an excellent job planted the tree in my backyard. The whole process was not easy from the tree transfer to dig a whole with thick dead tree roots. The team was so focused on how to make the job right. Now I have a healthy, straight up beautiful tree at the exact location that I wanted. Thank you Travis and the team. I will definitely share my good experiences with all my friends.

We ordered quite a few trees, bushes and plants from Moon Valley Nurseries with the help of our nursery specialist Tim Rael. Tim was very instrumental in design, placing and suggestions for a symmetrical look that we had envisioned. The process of self-choosing the trees and larger plants was very gratifying to know we chose the exact tree or plant ourselves. The team that came to plant all of our items were very professional, polite and truly passionate about the job they were doing. They went the extra mile to assure our comfort on placement of the trees/plants even though it was all laid out by Tim the previous day. We had a couple of issues that were resolved professionally with no disruption to their planting. The team: Christopher Gill, Michael Towne, Jorge Ulloa and Douglas Moran knew their job and how to assure at the end of the day we were happy with all of the plantings. This team worked in unison and other than all of beautiful new trees/plants in the yard you would have not known they were there. They clean up and left our yard looking beautiful. Highly recommend this company for your landscape needs!!
Our order (we had a very large order) had a couple of items that were not available at time of original planting schedule, our sales person (Tim Rael) and scheduling guy (Chad) kept us in the loop on when the items would be delivered/planted. The team: Mike Falco and his team member knew their job and how to assure at the end of the day we were happy with all of the plantings. This experience was very refreshing from time of sale to the complete planting. Highly recommend this company for your landscape needs!!

Jake was very kind and knowledgeable. I came back a second day and bought several hawthorn plants. They were the healthiest, most beautiful plants I could find in SoCal.

Patrick, an arborist for Moon Valley Nursey, took a look at my dying Magnolia tree and told me exactly what I needed to do to save it. I found Patrick to be friendly and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend him and will look to Moon Valley for my next tree purchase.

We had a great time at their trick or treat event. I didn't realize how extensive the nursery is. It's relaxing just walking around here. Cody and Riley were especially helpful and super friendly!

Gino and his crew did an amazing job putting my yard together. I was really happy with the plant selection, and the installers were on time and gave me some suggestions that really looked fantastic.

My home went from being bare to being the nicest in the neighborhood. I highly recommend Moon Valley and will be using them for the back yard as well.
