Great people to work with. The crew that did the work were fantastic. We will call them back whenever we need tree trimming or removal. We went from big pine to no pine.

Tom looked at stump gave me fair price. His crew showed up on agreed time and got busy. Cleaned up job done quickly.very happy highly recommend!!!

These guys do great work, they aren’t the lowest cost but you really get good service and a competent, well equipped team when you hire Tip Top to do a job. Alex, Danilo, Izzy and Julio were a pleasure to work with and did a wonderful job.
After the rains of 2019, a couple of oak trees grew so much foliage that some of the larger branches started to fall off in the late summer. The biggest limb that broke was around 22” in diameter and hung up on its way down, making it pretty unsafe. A tall 30-40’ high ailanthus tree died over the winter and there was a concern that it might fall on the house after the entire trunk rocked near the ground in the recent high winds.
The reasons that Tip Top were hired were that (1) they have a proper boom truck with a man lift that can reach the tops of our largest trees which are probably 50-60’ tall and (2) their team are qualified arborists working for a licensed contractor and (3) we have known the owner Jimmy for many years and we prefer to hire people we know and like.
Chris called me back and arranged an appointment for the next day to view the work that needed to be done. He gave me a verbal quote on site and then followed up later that same day with an email version. I called up the office and gave a deposit so that the work could be scheduled. The earliest time was about three weeks out however a day or so after scheduling the work, they called me up in the afternoon and asked if they could come the next day since they had a crew available who had finished a job one day early. In the end, I called on Tuesday and the job was all wrapped up by Friday of the same week, so you can’t beat that!
So the next morning at 7:30am the team showed up. There were three trucks, one with a boom for topping and trimming the trees, another with a chipper for getting rid of everything and a third with saws and other equipment. I noticed that the motor that operated the hydraulic boom is powered by natural gas, so it was quieter and cleaner burning than a normal diesel engine.
The team got straight to work, felling three tall ailanthus trees (or trees of heaven/ghetto palms) near the house. While this was going on, Alex and Julio set to work climbing one of the oak trees and removing the dead branches and cleaning up the overgrown branches. After dealing with the three Ailanthus trees, Danilo and Izzy then moved on to the biggest project, trimming up the largest oak tree. This tree is very old with a 10’ diameter trunk and a canopy that measured at least 60’ across so it was important to save it after the large limbs had fallen off.
While Danilo was trimming the branches and tidying up the tree, Izzy explained what they were doing and how the tree’s vascular system carries water up and down the branches which determines where they make the cuts in the branches. He explained that Tip Top’s team all attend school to become qualified arborists and that they go back regularly for continuing education. This was good to know since it is really important that you hire qualified people to trim mature oak trees.
As the trimming work was being performed, the crew set aside some of the larger branches and limbs to use as firewood and also cut the larger limbs into manageable sizes for my log splitter. The trimming generated a lot of branches and these all went neatly through the wood chipper and into the truck. The chipper is pretty powerful and I was amazed to see it swallow up an 8’ section of ailanthus tree trunk that was probably 10-12” in diameter.
After about 8 hours, the job was finished and everything had been neatly raked up and thrown into the back of their wood chipper truck. The trees looked healthy again with no dead/dying branches draping down and even the neighbors have commented on how good of a job Tip Top did.

Hello, my name is Dan I called Tip Top Arborists to handle a tree that needed to be removed after being damaged after a wind storm. My first call was with Jim on Monday and I met in person with him on Wednesday and the extremely large fruitless mulberry tree was gone (stump grinding included), total clean up as well, by Thursday.

Hired tip-top to remove a tree that was invading my sewer and water lines. Exellent job, thank you Jose, they left NO debris, started cleaning two houses down, even repaired the sprinkler line under the tree roots. Ground the stump down, did a great job... I would hire again, and also recommend... They have the equipment to safely do the job fast and correct... Highly recommend.

Customer service was great, the manager was excellent, my only small issue was I wished that my tree was trimmed just a bit more. The crew came out the second time but it still needed a bit more taken off. However, the work was great, the manager excellent and the receptionist/customer service was great. I will definitely use Tip Top Arborist again when needed.

We hired Tip Top for 4 trees in our yard. One was to be taken out entirely, two oak trees needed trimmed and de-misteltoed, and the mulberry tree needed a hair cut badly. Tom Baal was so professional and friendly and it was clear he really knows his stuff. His crew were great and very fast. They took down our cottonwood tree in less than 15 minutes and there wasn't a sign it had ever been there. It was a lot of work and they finished it in half a day. They also cleaned up beautifully. Our trees look gorgeous and I feel so much better about having our daughter play safely under the trees. I would recommend them to anyone. One note, be sure to clear the area of furniture or wind chimes or anything they could run up against. My wind chime was broken on accident.

We have three xylosma and two plum trees in the planter behind our pool that had grown totally out of control. Tip top did an amazing job thinning, crowning and reshaping the trees into the beautiful, natural-looking, accent trees they were intended to be. They completely transformed the look of the planter bed, and cleared access on the back-side of our pool. Tom was extremely professional and very helpful, and the team was prompt, efficient, amazing and clean! They didn't leave a scrap of anything behind, and even ensured the pool was clean when they left. I will definitely use this service again!!

Tip Top is the best if you need any tree work done! We have used them twice.
Both times we had trees removed and our very tall ash trees trimmed. They send a team of workers with the right equipment,
They also grind the tree stumps out of the ground and fill the hole with dirt.
They do an excellent work and are nice guys. I would highly recommend them. I will always call them for my tree maintenance.

We used Tip Too for the removal of a large tree in our backyard. Tom came out to give us an estimate and was very knowledgeable and answered questions about several trees in our yard although it wasnt related to the service. He made great recommendations and was very helpful. When the tree was removed the team was quick and professional. There was one issue with the work but the owner was willing to work with me to remedy the issue. Overall we had a great experience and would use Tip Top again

Tip Top Arborists are absolutely the best! Part of the reason is simple. Tip Top experts are actual ARBORISTS which means they understand each tree and what requirements exist for keeping them healthy. They know what needs to be done to prevent roots from doing damage underground and what specific pruning, treatment, topping off, and. maintenance is necessary. They are very honest and dependable and their teams leave everything looking beautiful and properly cleaned up before closing out the job. I've seen others use other businesses to have their trees trimmed but the result isn't even close to what Tip Top does. I highly recommend this business. They've taken care of our trees for 20+ years.

Tip Top provided great and timely service. I was able to schedule the removal of my oleander within just a few days after contacting them. When they arrived they went right to work and the job was completed in less than an hour. I would definitely call them again should the need arise.
