Amazing Selection and Helpful Staff

C&S Nursery is hands-down the best plant nursery I’ve visited. They have an incredible variety of both outdoor and indoor plants, and everything is well-organized, making it easy to find exactly what you need. Affordable pricing as well.

The outdoor plant selection is extensive, with everything from flowering shrubs to large trees. I especially appreciated how knowledgeable the staff is — they helped me pick the right plants for my garden based on the climate and sunlight in my area.

The indoor plant section is equally fantastic, with a wide range of houseplants from low-maintenance options to more exotic choices. The staff gave me helpful care tips for each plant I purchased.

They are better than homedepot.

Bought a pittosporum crassifolium (Karo) 15 GAL and a pittosporum tenuifolium (Kohuhu) tree 5 GAL. Definitely better price and condition than the garden centers near my home. friendly staffs. Very happy buying. Thank you.

Has a good variety of plants that you may not find at home depot/lowes or small sizes which makes it budget friendly. They do carry 5 and 15 gal plants if you're looking for bigger ones. Helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable staffs. Responsive to emails on availability questions. It has enough parking.

What a wonderful nursery! Large selection of outdoor and indoor plants. I was greeted by all of the employees. They did a great job potting my plant.

The team there is so knowledgeable and always helpful. Love their selection of indoor and outdoor plants which we've purchased. Love the potting service they provide when you purchase a plant and new ceramic pot. Definitely recommend this garden center.

Very knowledgeable staff, helpful and patient. They have a nice selection of California native plants. You can always place orders with them if you're looking for something that they don't have or try to get it for you. I recently ordered some California buckwheat. I was happy that they were able to get that for me and it didn't have to drive out to the valley to get natives.

Lovely nursery that really does a good job with customer service. They frequently checked in while we were shopping and offered great advice. They offered to pot the cactus I bought and did a fantastic job.

I went to the C & S Garden Center yesterday just to have a look around. Everything was very well kept. A myriad of nice plants. I walked around looking at plants and prices. The smaller plants looked reasonably priced and there was a great selection. I walked around outside for quite awhile, and then went inside. Wow, just a well laid out great looking place! I have a variety of plants at home and rarely need a nursery. However this place is just down the street and relatively new to the neighborhood. Located at Marine and Freeman in Lawndale. There is plenty of parking inside with an entrance on both streets. I highly recommend a visit. It is so visually pleasing you might save yourself a trip to the museum! 😎

Highly recommend this place. Got a beautiful fiddle leaf fig and blue pot to put it in. But before that, the wonderful staff helped us narrow down what plant to get and what are the pros/cons.

Our track record with keeping plants alive is pretty bad, so they helped us find a plant that best suits our lifestyle. They also said to feel free to reach out to them for any questions, esp since it can be hard on the plant to move to a new environment/home.

This is a great nursery located in central Hawthorne that has a decent selection of just about everything you may need. Whether you grow tomatoes, blueberries, fuchsia, sunflowers, or cannabis this place has everything you need. This is true of many places in the area, but what separates this nursery is the attitude of the employees and the owner himself. You know who owns the place just by the way he acts. You will also know who takes care of the plants because of how enthusiastic and knowledgeable he is. I help a disabled person get to and from El Camino so I often stop there with him so we can walk around and he can enjoy the plants and walk my dog. I waited until I had been there five times before leaving this review just to make sure it wasn’t a one time thing. I had bought several plants, nutrients and soil, and if I need anything that they don’t carry they offer to order it for me. The prices are not low, but they definitely are not high either. For example I think I paid $-10-$12 for a medium bag of Ocean Forest and $12-$13 for a couple feet of organic acid mix. All their plants are source locally and guaranteed to be appropriate for our environment. That’s not the case with Lowe’s or Home Depot.

This is a gardener’s nursery and I recommend it to everyone I know that enjoys gardening. Stop by and support your local nursery!
