We used Schatz Construction for some remodeling work for our business. There were some issues but Ryan addressed everything during the construction. He has been professional and it has been almost 2 years and he always answers his phone and continues to provide good service even after the end of construction. Schatz Construction Restoration was recommended to me by a trusted source and home builder when I called him to ask for a remodel referral. I had purchased a 1960’s ranch style home that needed a FULL update. When referring Schatz, the source told me that with any construction, it’s about reliability, and the finish work, and he said I wouldn’t find anyone better than Schatz. On my first call to Ryan, I explained the scope of the job, and my timeline, and he said he had a reliable crew and group of subs, and didn’t foresee any issues in completing the task in the condensed timeline I requested. I then met with Ryan Schatz, and Jeff Blote (Ryan’s partner) and we walked the property and discussed the plan. Because I wanted the project finished on a tight timeline, and we were remodeling the entire 3 bedroom 3 &1/2 bath house, Schatz quoted us immediately on the demo so we could get started while we picked our finishes. I hired a design team Kathleen Jennison and Sandra Van Slack of KJT Design, and they were amazing in their presentations of finish items, and their layout suggestions. While we were picking finishes, Schatz Construction Restoration began their work, and it was a FLURRY of activity and this continued throughout the entire project. We were impressed at the amount of workers that showed up to the house on work days. All of them were professional, polite, and seemed happy to be there. Very friendly, very trustworthy. This seemed to trickle down from the ownership of this impressive Company. Ryan and Jeff were ALWAYS professional, and friendly, and patient, and polite. The finished product is truly unbelievable. From the crown molding to the flooring, the window trim, the wall finish, paint, closets, etc...pictures don’t even do it justice. Great work aside, these 2 guys feel like family to us now. Our project lasted for approximately 5 months. After the initial demo, and structural work, we received a daily schedule of events with a move in date, and that schedule stuck! We had been trying to do crown molding after we installed ship-lap but after several wasted boards and wrong angles (not to mention major frustration), I gave up.
I contacted Schatz Construction and Ryan came and did an absolutely beautiful job!!! He was right on time, very personable, professional, and he certainly is talented.

Ryan and his crew did an excellent job on our remodel project.
Everyone that worked on our project was skilled at their job, polite and friendly, and left the jobsite clean the end of each day. We could not have asked for better results! I highly recommend them!

This is the second time we used Ryan and his crew. They painted three rooms, installed, doors and install fans. They also installed are wood floor, and hang cabinet's. They can do it all and do a great job with everything. They were always on time, Ryan and his crew are very nice. Their price is very reasonable, I would use Ryan and his crew again if I had any work that needed to be done in and around my home.

I can’t’ say enough about the awesomeness of working with Schatz Construction Company.
They are a professional Company and greatly respected and appreciated.
First: Their follow through, with my project was over the top.
For example, they provided me with a calendar for each day of the project , which they held too 100%. Also, the workers cleaned up at the end of the day. Regardless of whether they returned the next day or not.
Lastly, I was provided me with a projected finished date, which was correct to what they had forecasted.
I would definitely recommend them, they are loyal and trustworthy company, which says it all.

Schatz tore out and replaced an an outdoor porch attached to our house. It was a somewhat complicated job since the porch had to tie into the roof and the porch roof sloped correctly. The price was very competitive and they did the job within the time frame stated. Ryan, Mike and the workers are very knowledgeable, professional and personable. Their work is excellent and I am very pleased with the new porch. They even followed up to make sure that the job was done correctly and that I was satisfied. I would highly recommend Schatz Construction and would definitely use them again.

Schatz built me and a custom house and they didn’t disappoint. Even with the challenges of the pandemic they still got it done on schedule. This guys do great work. We had a few issue after I moved in and they took care of them right away. Thanks for the quality work

They responded when I first called for my kitchen remodel. I was impressed right off because they suggested that I get 2 other estimates. Which I did, and they were the best by far! I have gotten so many compliments on my kitchen remodel and have been so happy with the job they did. I had a problem with my garbage disposal at the very end of the job and Ryan came out to fix it and wouldn't leave until the small leak was fixed. (with my dogs in his lap as he worked). LOL I will be contacting them very soon for a bathroom remodel and I can hardly wait!!!

Living Area Wall Removal: We had high hopes, given the good reviews, and the first interactions and meetings were great. They even connected us to a wonderful architect/designer to get everything drawn up and submitted to the city. But then they COMPLETELY ghosted us. We followed up regularly for months over text and phone, and they NEVER reached out again. This has never happened to us in this way. It was VERY unprofessional and disrespectful. It's one thing not to have the capacity/ability/manpower to complete a project (totally understandable), but another to completely ghost a client you've already been working with.

I have used Schatz Construction for several projects in my home. We had beautiful fireplace and cabinets installed in our family room. The subcontrator they used for the painting did a great job too, the painted finish had a strong smell so they taped off an area from floor to ceiling and ran huge fans out of the house, but the paint is hard as a rock and I wish all my cabinets had been done by them. We also had them install all our kitchen cabinet hardware which came out perfect with no scratches or mistakes. They have built and installed floating shelves for my water closets.

Excellent work performed by this Company, from start to finish. They have been my contractors for over 10 years, from total remodels to minor repairs. They are reliable, honest and their workmanship is beyond compare! Ryan and his crew will always be my contractors.
