J & D Plumbing does way more than plumbing. They just finished putting a new roof on my 2,300 s/f home and did a superb job. Working with Bobby Mungo was a pleasure. He was professional and very knowledgeable. The roofing crew knew exactly what they were doing and were finished with the job in five days. What I really appreciated was the detail work they did. I would not have known to ask, but they did it because they take pride in their work. Bobby came to me a couple of times to suggest they move or change something to make the roof (or vents, etc) work more efficiently. I thought they would charge me more money, but they didn't. The only extra charge was the replacement of some rotting wood, and all the estimates I received included this cost, should it be necessary. J & D Plumbing was very fair in the cost of the roof. They are general contractors, so before you choose a company to do any project at your home, call J & D Plumbing and get a quote. You will be glad you did.

Had another company in the area out to help with a sump pump. I had a bad feeling that the quote was high. I called J&D to get a quote and they saved the day. Literally the same job was 1/2 the price. They did an amazing job. I am so lucky I called them.

I have used a few plumbers with mixed results over the years as I own several investment properties. I had a pipe break under the building of a fourplex which required having the water completely turned off. J&D responded very quickly and Steve, the service guy, was amazing. He was able to quickly diagnose the issue and repaired it quickly and solidly. Very nice guy and super knowledgeable. I would STRONGLY recommend them and they will definitely be my go-to plumbers in the future!!

J&d has been a vital part of our property management here in Long Beach for the past 8 yrs. they are always quick to respond to plumbing problems in the 3 old homes that we manage. They schedule appointments with tenants and the plumbers that come out are always nice and efficient . They have handles small jobs as well as very large jobs and we have never had any problems! Bob and his crew are amazing! We could not do it without them!! Highly recommended.

Early on Saturday morning the thermostat controlling my ancient floor heater went rogue. The heater came on by itself and would not shut off. The area near the heater was getting very hot and I worried about a fire. The heater was completely unresponsive to the thermostat. I called J & D and within the hour, Steve from J & D was at my house. He diagnosed the problem, replaced the thermostat and was on his way in about an hour. Steve was very professional and non-judgmental about my ancient floor heater...

This was my first time using J & D Plumbing and Heating and I was very pleased. I had two issues, a slow draining sink and a backed-up washer. Working with Diane to set up an appointment was easy. The technician arrived on time and was very thorough. He was diligent in making sure all issues were resolved before completing the job. He tested the washer several times. The cost for resolving both issues was quite reasonable. I will be using J & D Plumbing and Heating in the future and recommend you do, too.

They quoted me a price and had me on the first visit of the next business day. Leo showed up on time, checked the lines and explained any potential issues and was out all in less than an hour. I would definitely recommend this company for sewer line inspections. I myself will be using them for my future plumbing work.

We live in a 90 year old house which had central heating which was ineffective. We also wanted air conditioning. Shane switched out our inferior size heater for a larger heater, and installed air conditioning. All was done seamlessly and professionally, and we now are warm in the winter and cool in the summer. I had an excellent experience with Frans plumbing. The actual owner came to assist my problem. He Was prompt knowledgeable and always had a smile. He quickly found out that my toilet was flushing slow not because of my drain but the problem was from our actual toilet, from a series of tests that he performed. We had a new toilet put in and no problems. He saved us a lot of money. Frans plumbing is highly recommended and I will continue using them for my plumbing and HVAC needs.

We have used Shane before to help install a split AC unit for us. This time Shane quickly came to my assistance when my AC stopped working in a heatwave. He is very obliging, professional and incredibly helpful. Would highly recommend him

Shane is awesome! My parents very old AC was not blowing cold air and the home warranty contractor did not know how to work on the unit. I called Shane on a Friday night and he came over the next morning and got everything running great. He could have easily sold us a newer unit but said that the one they have is good and there is no need to replace it.

Shane was quick to respond for a drain cleaning and an ac tune up. He was highly recommended on Next Door and he's local. He was very thorough and explained to me in detail everything he was doing. Very personable and respectful, he is now my go to ac/heating and plumbing company. Will recommend him to all my family and friends!

Words cannot express how delighted I am having discovered Shane of Frans Plumbing! He came out to snake my very slow draining shower and ran into a wall of calcium. He explained the process of what needed to be done and gave me tips on how to help slow the process of build up. Shane Frans practical and creative solutions made our new shower more functional and beautiful! We had remodeled just two years ago and were already having problems with leaks and the materials already failing and looking worn. Shane redesigned the configuration of the shower so we no longer need a glass door. We love it! I highly recommend Shane for his knowledge, creativity, skill and integrity.
