I normally don't write reviews but felt compelled with my experience with Mullen plumbing. Trevor completed our tankless install in 2.5 hours and did a great job. We had a previous tankless that was being replaced so the job was a little easier. Yesterday, Trevor came out to fix our old tankless but recommended replacing it with a new one. I told Trevor that we wouldn't get additional bids and would go with Mullen plumbing if the pricing was fair and reasonable. They sent me a price estimate of $4,226, which I thought seemed high. When I asked for a breakdown of cost, they refused to give me any type of material/labor breakdown out of Mullen plumbing to evaluate if the pricing was reasonable. We were in a bind because my wife doesn't like cold showers so I agreed to the price. Now, the job is complete, the internet price for the tankless that was installed is $1,349. If there was an additional $500 in material costs (probably much less) that would bring the total material cost to $1,849. This would result in a labor cost of $2,377 ($4,226 - $1,849). This would mean the hourly labor rate I paid is $950.80 ($2,377 labor dollars ÷ 2.5 hours). This is unreasonable. Normally, I would have gotten 2 more estimates and that would have resolved my price reasonableness issue. After the job was complete, I discussed with Trevor and Ashley that I felt overcharged for the work performed. They were unsympathetic and could have made it right with a reduction in price but refused. I really didn't care what the end price was just wanted a fair value (not $950 per hour). I understand Trevor had to order the tankless, pick it up along with other parts that does add some labor time to the job. I'm giving 3 stars because Trevor did a great job. If you decide to get an estimate from Mullen plumbing make sure to get at least 2 other bids to assess price reasonableness. Mullen will only provide a total price estimate, no detailed pricing, no transparency. I paid the full amount of $4,226 and feel like a sucker for trusting them. Good luck with your plumbing issues.

Trust but Verify

Our water heater has been on and off with hot water. Trevor & Ashley were so helpful in answering all our questions and replacing our water heater quickly. Trevor did a great job, and Ashley was attentive and prompt with her responses. Thank you, Mullen Plumbing! Now we can finally enjoy hot showers!

Our water heater control valve died and we needed it fixed fast. When we called up Mullen Plumbing Ashley was friendly and accommodating. She got Carlos out there ASAP and he was able to diagnose, order the parts and have it fixed the next morning. Everyone was so professional and easy to work with. 100% would recommend.

The closed-loop communication from this company is outstanding. Steven with Mullen Plumbing was fast and efficient! His work ethics were outstanding and he was prepared with a bucket and wiped everything clean when he was done! Steven was so friendly and polite and definitely a people person where you immediately felt comfortable in his presence! Steven did an outstanding job and he was so fast! I couldn’t believe how fast he unclogged and snaked my kitchen drain and out a new garbage disposal in for me! Steven also unclogged my restroom sink and out a new toilet seat on for me! Such a sweet young man! Steven is a major asset to Mullen plumbing that I thought he would be the owner because of the professional way he carried himself! I found me a lifetime plumber!💖🙏🏼

This is my third time using Mullen Plumbing. Trevor came out and did the assessment and got a quote pretty fast. Carlos Larios was the plumber that came out to install the new toilet. He was friendly, polite and did an excellent job. I will definitely use them again.

Excellent family owned business to hire for your plumbing needs. The staff is so responsive, their tech’s are courteous and professional. We had our main sewer line jetted and Carlos was kind and explained the issues showing us the primary problem/issues. Mullen Plumbing was great with accommodating our schedule and arrived promptly.
