I’ve built many homes and gone through many contractors. This has been by far my best experience in construction. We were living in the house at the time on construction and I couldn’t believe how comfortable and clean everything was given the circumstances. Working with Jacob and all of Aggregate was an amazing process from A-Z. The whole team is professional, clean, and amazing to work with. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a contractor.

Eddie and his team were fantastic to work with! They helped us repair wood rot on our balcony and sliding door that had become a safety concern for us and our kids. From start to finish, Eddie was professional, honest, and clear about the process. He gave us a fair quote, stuck to it, and even went above and beyond with the final results. I LOVE my newly renovated family room fireplace wall thanks to ACG! Check out the before and after photo! The work speaks for itself!!! They installed new tile, completed new drywall, created beautiful arches on each side of my fireplace, and made sure the wall looked exactly how we imagined it to look. Working with ACG was soooo amazing and easy- They were fast, knowledgeable, on top of it, honest, and trustworthy. They finished this project quickly and efficiently and they also had great attitudes and were a pleasure to work with all in all. It is hard to find people you can really trust but with ACG you won’t have that problem- they really care and they always strive for perfection and make sure you are happy. I can’t wait to work with them again for other projects in my home.

To slow company, they have been working in the building where I rent for more then 3 months and haven't finish. They only work 1 day a week

I had a great experience using these guys for my earthquake retrofit. They had a good price, were very responsive and professional and got the job done quickly and efficiently. Very professional!

In overall, a very positive experience. We hired JC Retrofit for the retrofitting job after receiving the California grant approval. We called a couple of companies from the approved list and JC Retrofit was reliable and quoted us with a good price. They pretty much handled the whole process including processing the paperwork needed to receive the grant. So we only had to pay the difference out of our pocket between the total cost and the grant amount. Very good experience.

Juan was incredibly knowledgeable and the utmost professional. He spent over an hour inspecting my house and answering all my questions, as well as giving me several repair options. Can't recommend him enough.

You know how you go to an auto repair shop for one thing and they call you later about 3 or 4 other things you "need" but it's really overkill and you really don't? J&C was the only company out of the 4 I called out that didn't do that. Our raised floor was really wobbly (as noticed while watching Lakers games) and, after calling some foundation repair estimators, we found out that our living room was sitting on just ONE post that had almost slipped off its pad (see photo)! Our whole living room could have come down crashing if it slipped just a little more! Yikes. All the other companies came and quoted from $4000-6500 to put all kinds of beams and several posts all around, etc. etc. In short, overkill. I knew that all that was needed was a couple of support posts and at most one beam. Juan at J&C Retrofit was the only company that operated that way, not too much that it would be overkill and too expensive, but not too little that I would have a problem later. They were JUST RIGHT! Juan said they would be there on Saturday morning and they were, at the exact time they said. They did say something incorrect though.....they said it might take all day to repair, but it ended up only taking a couple of hours! 2 hours and $2500 later, our living floor no longer shakes. Thanks to Juan and J&C for giving me a fair quote of just what was needed and doing the job FAST at the appointed day and time. I feel much better knowing we can jump up and down in the living room when the Lakers win another championship next year! ;)

Juan and his team were wonderful to work with--super responsive, professional, friendly, and exceptionally helpful. They are incredibly knowledgeable about and experienced with all of the detailed EBB requirements and specific timing, and they made the whole process much less stressful. HIGHLY recommend them...do yourself a favor and hire them for your project...you'll be glad you did!

My retrofit project was completed by J&C RETROFIT CONSTRUCTION INC and I am EXTREMELY pleased with the result. From the initial inspection, bid, completion of work, and permit sign-off, J&C Retrofit handled each task with ease. The entire process was incredibly smooth. Juan, Iris, and Jesse were a pleasure to work with too! They are very knowledgeable and professional. I am relieved that I am giving my home a better chance of surviving an earthquake thanks to J&C.

We had heard horror stories about home renovations from friends, family, and even HGTV - but upon meeting Stefano, Elcano Construction's owner, our minds were put at ease. Craftsmanship: Elcano Construction is a skilled team of multidisciplinary experts, including finish carpenters, cabinetmakers, masonry contractors, gutter installers, electricians, plumbers, and anything/everything in between. We were impressed by everyone we encountered, and six months later remain thrilled with the quality of their work.
Timeliness & Flexibility: Despite the fact that we changed some decisions mid-renovation, Elcano Construction still completed the project on-time and we were able to move in as planned.
Communication: Stefano is incredibly responsive, and available via email, text, phone, and in-person meetings - he would even video chat us to show exciting progress or to get input on real-time decisions that had to be made. He's transparent about every aspect of the project, and proactively kept us aware of considerations as walls were (literally) opened.
Honesty & Transparency: We spoke to several contractors as we planned our renovation, many of whom seemed like they simply wanted to secure the biggest payment possible (but provided little if any detail as to what we were paying for or why). We chose Elcano Construction because they were data driven, shared budget estimate details, and helped us weigh tradeoffs to ensure we didn't exceed our max budget. Furthermore, the costs were reasonable - especially considering the quality of their work.

We highly recommend Elcano Construction, and are confident that selecting them for your next renovation project will make your dreams come true. It certainly did for us.
